Ok. Thank you. Might be enough to talk him out of it until it’s nicer.

Just for a bit of balance I ordered an XL night rider from proviz on sale at about £50. Was to big overall so sent back. They weren’t exactly quick answering emails but it went back a week later and refunded minus postage (bit stingy I thought but no biggy)

Got a large from halfords instead as they had them for £40. Good fit and nice jacket really. Bit warm but I’ll only be using it on dark winter nights so with a thin summer riding top on underneath it’s about right.

I think the newer ones which include the night rider have better sizing than the original all refeclitve jackets as I’ve no complaints on fit.

Look nice. Shame these weren’t around six months ago when I got a segment. Lovely bike but could of been slightly slacker and longer. Orange aren’t overly generous with top tube length even in XL.

Segment travel, stage 5 head angle and stage 6 top tube would do me.

    1+ for clove oil

Completely eased pain I had that paracetamol, ibuprofen and even tramadol(was desperate by then) didn’t touch.

    Worth a try

Once you try snake oil there’s no chance of quitting!

Don’t care though really. I can breathe and do exercise unlike when I smoked.

I can’t be arsed with separate batteries or building coils so I’ve gone for eleaf istick 40w with eleaf ijust 2 tanks. I use the 0.5 coils at 26watts. Enough power to get a decent draw from it without being bulky. I carry two around usually so I’ve got different flavours.

This must of just happened. We were up on Sunday and no signs or fence at the start of the trails It did just look like thinning at the bottom of flat white so I’m sure it’ll live again.

Just cos I’m working on my bike now.

    XL Orange Segment
    I’m 6ft2
BB to top of saddle 31″
    Seat clamp to bars 27.75″

From other measurements above confirms my thought that oranges XL should have a longer toptube.

    “built from fallen wood”

Forestry seem to be hate anything built, especially structures.

Stick to basic tracks through the forest and for the most part they get let alone.

I’m a believer. I’ve read say too much scifi not to.

It’ll happen but not until we can travel further and make more noise.

I read the shifter as SRAM. My bad.

You sure the shimano and SRAM mix actually work together other than the guys word?

Would of thought they’d be different pull ratios.

Should be http://www.aistoncycleracks.co.uk but it’s not up anymore.

Hope that doesn’t mean what I’m thinking it does as the lovely bloke who made them was getting on a bit.

    I use this technique.

I find the tyre wants to jump back off the bead sometimes but even getting some of it on tightens the rest of tyre around the whole wheel and gets a better seal.

Works every time for me. Especially useful on older stretched tyres.

Had the PUSH upgrade on my old pikes and they felt nicer for it. Think it modifies the rebound circuit. Worth the upgrade if it’s still available and you don’t want to spend new fork money.

I had the same thing for awhile so know what you mean. Turned out to be saddle width and position on a bike I’d started to do more miles on so hadn’t noticed before. Solved with wider saddle(was getting a sore ass as well!) and tweaking the setup

As above it’s a sign something’s not quite right but remember if you start adjusting stuff do one thing at a time..

Safer journey than I had home.

Turned out the taxi driver shared a line of coke with my brother in law before me and my sister got in.

You could just buy some of the scotch guard material/tape that doubles as helicopter/frame tape.

I managed to get enough to do my bike for about £20 so a strip big enough for what you need should be cheaper.

Forgotten the number of the stuff you need but a bit of googling will soon find it. Think I got it from eBay in the end.

    Bones heal. Bikes cost.

I’d through myself off with the bike on top of me to minimise damage to it.

Yeah but yours is that lovely dry cold. Ours is that awful damp cold. Much worse according to me and I’ve experienced both so am an expert!

Yeah I’d agree. Strumming is easy compared to good chord shapes and changes.

Keep strumming patterns simple at first then when chord changes are quicker try more complex strumming. It’s what I’m doing and what most of the tutors on YouTube recommend.

I’m a few months into learning and have used Andy Guitar on you tube. Only recently discovered Justin guitar so have looked at his as well.

15 – 20 minutes a day is enough to start with. My fingers took a good few weeks to toughen up and stop hurting.

Patience is the key and accept that it will take quite a while to get to a decent level. Making your fingers work independently is frustrating at first but you’ll soon notice improvement.

In the short time I’ve been trying I can now swap between at few chords, know most of basic ones and can even play a few basic songs.

Stick with as it’s very rewarding

I do the try my best to lever some of the bead on then blast with compressor. It’ll want to pop back off as you go round with the lever but just put on as much as you can.

    Works every time for me.

    I volunteer at something simialir.

Any tool that’s usually bought on the cheap doesn’t last. Especially if your putting force thought it. Eg. Chain whips, cassette removers, cone spanners BB tools…..etc…. Buy decent branded versions of these types of tools and more importantly makes sure your volunteers know how to use them correctly as even good kit is wrecked when not looked after.

For 90% of the type of bikes we work on I use , my own allen keys and a knippex spanner then the shops cones spanners, cassette and bb tools and occasionaly a 4th hand tool.

Some good 15mm spanners would be good as these are used a lot as well.

I’d say buy individually rather than a specific set as you’ll get more of what you’ll actually need.

I use one of these with a 42t sunrace and medium cage slx mech. Cheaper option than the rad cage for similar end result

I don’t bother but if on longer journeys I’ll cover my disks with plastic bags.

Just give the bikes a wash afterwards

You could give Descend Hamsterley a call. I know they had the full kits but imagine like you’ve said they don’t get used much now.

Not a definite but worth a try :-)
