300 staff.

2 wet room individual showers.
2 covered bike racks (hold about 10 each) (1 in staff area, 1 in public)
No-one else bikes to work as far as I can tell from the 300 staff so I get the showers all to myself :D

Which reminds me, I must start cycling to work again after a brief hiatus while they built the new showers.

One bit of cheating I saw was on the first 1/3 of the course where after the initial climb the trail followed next to a tarmaced road for 100m or so. Plenty elected to take the tarmac route rather than the claggy playdough singletrack which was the course.

The descent was far from wet on the Friday. It was so dusty that if you were following someone there was no line to see! I had an over the bars on it towards the bottom as I was riding a retro rigid singlespeed like it was my modern bike. oops. It’s on video somewhere but not uploaded yet as far as I know. I’m sure when water and heavy traffic was added to the equation it would have been a nightmare.

I’ve been piling topsoil on top of my potatoes as soon as I get a few inches growth out of them. How long should I keep this up? I’m going to run out of soil soon!

I’ve been using a Garmin for a couple years now. It’s the cheapo i3 I think it’s called. It’s not bad, and it gets me to my destination, but sometimes the route-finding can be a little odd, and it sometimes thinks tight corners on country roads are turnings. You soon get used to it’s idiosyncrasies though. on the other hand, I do hear that TomTom is the daddy of sat nav.

I’m getting there at about 11AM Friday just to be sure…. and to have some beers and a bbq after a sighting lap or 2.

I punctured at Nant-yr-Arian on the marshland section near Nant-y-Moch last week and the feckers ate me alive while the rest of the group elected to climb up the decent we’d just don just to get away from the pesky buzzing, flying teeth.
