Something certainly seems awry tonight all of a sudden.

Not today but not much has changed. Theres a box of kleenex, a couple pens, some printouts and an iphone, keys, wallet and spare pair if trousers to go home tonight.

You have to think about number 1. As you say, if the boot was on the other foot, they'd drop you in a flash. It's not very nice but you have to come to terms with it. Don't feel too guilty about it :)

EDIT: So take it and move on as required. Good luck BTW :)

Surely 'outside' Isn't that simple. I thought there were all sorts of rules regarding the walls to ceiling ratio. Also many places seem to have a 'within x metres of any building' rule, which means standing outside the back door is not acceptable (at least under company rules).

Burner had to win. Even a died in the wool MTBer would agree. Most of us came to MTBs via a burner or similar. They were the epitome of 'pissing about in the woods on bikes' for me. Happy memories.

Me rocking the chrome burner and 'full face' at some point in the '80s

s8tannorm any chance of a few tantalising photos other than the ones on the website? particularly jumps and 'things'. Might help me convince a few club members to sign up for a course.

Always wanted Gravity SUCKS and Fear of a Flat Planet. Alas I never had the pennies spare. I bet if someone bought the rights to the designs and put them into production again they would have some success.

What actually happened to Rox? And Bula for that matter.

EDIT: It seems Bula are still making hats but not the 90s iconic shaped ones as far as I can tell.

It's really sad that some people are unable to gain enjoyment from this. I for one am with the OP :)

I'm guessing they're designed it around a ships bridge but it looks gash to me.

They killed our cabbage and caulliflower this year. I didn't realise you could leave the remainder of the stalks though. We've pulled them up now.

Just imagine the response he'd have gotten if he had dared to say good morning! The audacity of land owners eh?

Just watched the full elite mens race. Awesome speeds carried. Great race. Hope there are more like it.

Yeh I think there were some 29ers in there.

Is everyone else getting sound? Or is it just me watching it in silence?

Just doign the maths on this and there's only 250g between the Uncle John frame and the Italia frame. Both with a carbon fork (probably another 200g difference). I think I'm convincing myself that this is a sensible move. Will take a look at the geometry differences though.

Just googleing around on the subject and came across this:

Interesting use of deep section wheels on a carbon 'crosser.

Fair points re the aero wheels. I am only TTing on a local club 10 and am fat and slow so will shelf the aero wheels idea. With that in mind, does this make more sense? I anticipate far more commute and cross miles than tt and road but it's nice to have the option.

As a kid I used to think that Orange Bikes were from Orange County. It was only recently, on re finding mountain biking that I realised my error!

Just thought I'd take this opportunity to admit that.

Weather looks grim for Sunday (sorry Trans-Cambrian guys) up here so I might go test out the new berms at Nant-yr-Arian tomorrow.

1 9 year old Giro Skyline which I'm starting to think about replacing with a Hex. Fancy an advantage for TTs next season and maybe an Ionos for bling XC and road.

I have the same issue when wearing bibs under my drylines. The waist is the correct size but the things just drop down regardless. Then they catch when moving back into the saddle. PITA!

how about just the 4 on the helmet? I think the 1 is more of a road light. Not sure it has enough throw for off road.

Servo AF and use centre spot AF point only if possible. I also use centre spot metering to avoid metering for the sky instead of the bird. I'm a rank amateur but have managed the following with the above advice.

Would love to hear other's tips too.

Don't know what I was worried about. It was dry and hugely enjoyable to get back on the bike in the mornings.

For those of you saying to buy a size larger, do you mean for regular Shimano shoe wearers? i.e. go larger than my existing shimano summer shoes? or jst for people coming from other brands?
