Did around the lake in the summer and it would fit the bill nicely. Popular route with families it seemed.

Just finished last nights chinese leftovers (beef and black bean sauce and duck cantonese style)

Peroni in hand but there's a chocolate stout in the kitchen I'm thinking of trying before the red wine comes to to play. It's calming my nerves while I try and lay down a funky house drumbeat in Reason.

Should be fine. We came across very ocasional snow only a few inches deep around anglers retreat and artists valley tonight. It's cold wet windy and foggy but nant runs dry and fast in almost all conditions except snow.

Riding at Anglers Retreat tonight so should get a reasonable gauge of Nant conditions. Will report back later.

I'm still trying to get over the 150 quid price tags on a lot of these messenger bags from niche companies. Timbuk2 or Crumpler seem a little more my price bracket. I like to wear a bag over my right shoulder, and some of the crumplers look shaped for only one side… the left shoulder. Is this right or am I being stupid?

One of my riding mates with a meta 5.5 also had this problem with the original rear wheel. He eventually replaced it with a hope hoop I think. He'd had it in to the LBS for a rebuild and it still happened after.

I have no interest in putting a rack on my cross bike and I want a decent bag to walk around with. As I said, I'm after a courier bag.

Yup I just went to see if I could stick strong tags around my name and noticed that the feature had gone.

Ended up buying a focus hatchback. Deal was too good to miss. Guess I will be taking my front wheel off afterall

It's a 54 plate I'm looking at. Is that the current shape? I don't know. Here's the car ad.

Just watched the first episode of Top Gear Series 1, Episode 1 for the review of the Berlingo if anyone is interested. They seem to like it too!

Mont Blanc are nice but closer to 130 quid I think. Maybe something out there for 50 though.

I've been reading a thread on pistonheads about these places and I've gone right off them based on what I've heard. Not wasting a 6 hour round trip to be treated like crap and not have the stock on the website available on site. Found a car at a large dealer in Swansea for the same money as they supermarkets are asking so will be heading down there tomorrow.

you can use a dynamic dns service like dyndns to give you a portable hostname. Most routers support these services now so they can automatically update dyndns when your IP changes.

Camp Chief Hector near Canmore, Alberta

I'm sure I know someone who worked there, just can't remember who.

ooh do have a think. It's entirely possible I knew them. A LOT of locals worked there for 10 years+ given they loved it so much.

I did 2 summers (4 month stints) at Camp Chief Hector near Canmore, Alberta in the Rockies. I was leading 5 day hiking expeditions with groups of 8 14-15 year old boys 1 year, and leading 5 day white water canoe expeditions the following year. Those were 2 of he best (and fittest) summers of my life and I will always remember that time fondly.

Now I imagine that most of the staff have changed since '97 when I was last there but I'd still recommend the place highly.

I wish I had taken more photos of my time there but here are a few to whet your appetite.

One of my groups on a hiking expedition:

Working the bank with a throw bag at the end of a small rapid on the North Sask river.

Couple of kids running the wave set at the same spot

Quite a big camp as can be seen by the all-staff photo from the 97 season

Any questions, I'd be glad to help where I can.

Dog wins hads down for me. Plenty of shivers for the more painful ones though! The biker head on into the gate post looked like it would have been messy.

I've gone the A530 route too and it works fine for me. If you spaz up clipping in at a roudabout then you have the flat there to get you around until you get a chance to clip in again. Also useful for village shop trips in normal shoes.

I get around 1MB at home and can listen to Spotify for hours on end without a single glitch. Infact I have never experienced an outage on Spotify aside from when I arrived this morning at work. Client needed to be restarted. As for the sound quality, It's as good as CDs to my gig-trashed ears.

I wish more of the Warp Records catalogue was on there though. Bit lacking in electronica

Don't remember when I bought it exactly but my first was a 1990 Ridgeback 600 SIS from Moore's in Isleworth. I raced it that year in some XC race on Ealing common or there abouts. No car as I was only 13 at the time so all my proper rides involved a long ride out and back from Twickenham to places like Virginia Water. Or closer to home in Richmond Park.

20 years ago this year :D

Just got back from a night ride in the snow and I only wore a lightweight DHB base layer and my Velez Adventure smock and I was toasty warm. Bit too warm for other seasons on the bike but it's a fantastic walking jacket. Keep meaning to buy the trousers to match.

Clerks. There used to be a time when nobody had heard of it. Then Kevin Smith hit the big time and I imagine most are aware of it now.

Is the 2nd image really a banksey? It doesn't appear to even be in Europe and it's a single stencil. Hardly comparable to the other 2 pieces.
