There is an XL SKS clip on which supposedly works up to 35mm. I was going to try them.

I've been thinking that a nice retro-looking build with silver wheels and finishing kit of a 2010 black Cotic Soul would look lovely.

This is just a pie in the sky build. I have no plans to do it myself but would love to see if anyone else has.

    Essentials:

    Hope silver posts and stems
    Royce BB
    Middleburn cranks and rings
    flat bars

I've got flat wide feet and shimano 46 fit me absolutely perfectly in both Mtb and road varieties.

Write yourself a simple script called phpinfo.php and inside it, just put the folowing:

    <?php phpinfo(); ?>

And view the page created. Scroll down to the PHP Core configuration section and check the values for max_execution_time and memory_limit if you want to see how your server is configured. It's a useful script to have lying around anyway. If the values are not set, you *may* be able to set them from within your own code by using the ini_set function but this depends on how the server is configured.

    http://uk3.php.net/manual/en/function.ini-set.php

Don't worry too much though, the system will look after itself unless its run by a complete donkey (who would have had to change a lot of sensible defaults).

I've not felt this tired in a long time. 1st ever club cross ride today and I am a slowcoach compared to the rest of the riders who turned out. 72km in about 4 hours with an inch or 2 on some of the forestry climbs. Weather was beutiful though. Hope to have many more rides like this. LBS owner even fed us Belgian waffles and espresso before heading out :D

You can get a device for cameras/telescopes which track across the sky with the stars to avoid the movement of the stars on long exposures. IIRC they cost a couple hundred quid though.

Wife has a 56 plate 1.4 spirits. We also have the aforementioned boot lock problems but otherwise it's a good little car for the reasons already mentioned. She had the previous model too and that was good but we may look elsewhere next time (Mazda 2)?

Italy are making my day so far. Love to see them run 1 in now. They've been close already.

From the Title I was expecting to see a Front flip to Icepick, which would have been mental. An impressive front flip though.

No sign of snow at nant (I live just a couple of miles away) and I rode up near s8annorm (climachx) last night and saw no snow. You should be absolutely fine. Intact trails are riding fast right now.

Barcodes are typically just a 12 or 13 digit number.

It's down to the scanning system as to what information they can ascertain from that number. more than likely, it's a unique ID for a line in a database somewhere which may contain all sorts of information relating to the passenger/booking. As for what information the air-side stewards at the gate have, I have no idea.

The cheapo SPDs (M550s?) which came with it. If I upgraded it would only be to 520s which I use on the ST4 too.

Idm, house, trance etc. Don't like vocals when I'm coding. Future sound of London is perfect work music for me. Squarepusher at a push but a little too random which forces me to pay too much attention to the music rather than the code.

Can I just point out once and for all that I was ATC and *not* CCF. Although how those barstewards got to wear the RAF cap badge and we didn't, is beyond me!

Spent many a lost evening with parade gloss and small bits of cotton wool on a newspaper laden dining table trying to get a decent mirror finish on my RAF Shoes from Silvermans. Never managed to get them as good as the guys who purloined a can of Tornado Nosecone paint from Conningsby when we re there on Summer Camp. They must have lucked in while I was servicing Tornados on the apron or checking the best before dates on a hercfull of NBC suits (it was Gulf War era).

Boots were British Army 10 hole DMS and I;ve still got them now. Amazing boots and only required a basic brushing with kiwi black to keep them waterproof and matt. Noone wants shiny boots on exercise. Hell we even had blackened cap badges for such occasions.

<created new reminiscing post about ATC to save polluting this thread>

I see. I always thought it was the range of the rear cassette which defined rear mech cage size. Colour me enlightened.

Oh and the 'mtb' was actually a hybrid but don't let that get in the way of my gushing about cross bikes :D

Rear mech cage size defines limit of chainset rings? Really? That sounds wrong to me.

You cant just wear normal clothes in these conditions though, you end up getting to work looking like a homeless person.

Ever been on the rush hour commute in Amsterdam? Amsterdam has pretty much exactly the same weather conditions as most of the UK.

And exactly not the same terrain as most of the UK. We have these hill things. My short 5 mile commute takes in over 100m of ascent. Show me where I can do that in Amsterdam.

Do you need the 2.0l engine? I was amazed to go from am RX8 (190 BHP) to a 1.6 TDCi (110 BHP) and not feel lacking at all. The Mondeo might need something larger as its a heavier car but I'm more than happy with my 60MPG 1.6TDCI.

All depends on how much you sweat, how fast you go, whether you wuss out every time the roads are wet or god forbid, it rains. I favour full lycra and a high vis jacket of some sort most of the year or a bright S/S jersey in hotter summer weather.

As for lights, I use a smart on the front, flashing, and a cateye 5 LED on the rear, also flashing. Combined with my off road 3xcree Helmet light for front lighting on unlit unclassified and B roads (I commute in the country).

As for guards, I prefer to just stick waterproof 3/4 shorts on when it rains, but standard opinion is SKS for full guards. They do a clip-on which will fit a 35mm cross tyre which I might consider buying soon but not really sure I need them.

You know the noise a water cooler makes when the bubbles rise from the bottom? I was sat next to a guy in a conference who's gut sounded just like that and just as loud if not louder. Could be heard from 10m away! I actually thought he might explode in a shower of sh1t! Amazing the noises a gut can make.

Aberystwyth (nant yr Arian) and Machynlleth (climachx) are both on the Cambrian coast line and 20 mins appart. Climachx is about 3 miles ride from station. Nant is more like 7. Check out "joes back yard" mbr route for wild and wonderful loop near nant

Take a look at MD GOlf. Northern Irish company making some quality kit at reduced prices. Always scored well in the mags when I took up the sport for a year back in 2008. Now clubs sat unloved as I'm biking all the time.

I've had MX5s and an RX8 and all have been completely reliable outside of the qurikyness of the RX8 cold shutdown problem. Plenty of 626s on the road. Infact my boss drives a P plate I think.

Struggled for about 15 minutes with team names. Had several ideas involving Alfie and closets or scarlets underdevelopment squads but ended up with the marvelous, and rather 'safe' collection of players who go by the name of…

However, if Wales come out on top against England, they could continue on to great things. Welsh club sides have started to turn around and show some great rugby from the welsh lads. Also coming into the 6n as underdogs will benefit us hugely.
