TRB – you go indoors for a wee? what’s wrong with the rest of the garden?

OP – I wouldn’t bother with solar stuff, just run an extension lead to the house. My shed has been running like that for 11 years!

I think your’l find it’s balistic nylon and Kevlar.

I’m with stoner on this, but i wouldn’t advise anyone against safety kit you have to make up your won mind.

Odd but true, garments for chainsaw protection are filled with nylon wadding it chokes the blade and stalls the motor in a split second, so a modified sleeping bag might help?

a second battery and a smart.com relay, sorted. 1000 watts isn’t a lot of power on the big scheme of things, a smallish suitcase type of generator can do that!

Frankenstein, not sure abot the buyers guide but using the second socket on the old twin 7 pin systems is entirely optional. I also tow horse trailers, mini diggers, sheep trailers etc. and i’ve only had one new cluth this year

Frankenstein – I tow a lot of caravans on an almost daily basis, and i only ever have one socket on the car, I never use the auxiliary socket (grey) as it only runs the fridge and the fog light. I can cope with warm beer (just) :-)

a car with a tow bar? yes! would save me the bother of fitting one. Buying a car from a used car dealer? No, they are all sharks and liars (I used to run two used car sales sites) and you have already caught him out as a liar!

I’m with DS i have an Samsung ML1610 cheap to buy and run, I leave mine for weeks at a time and can still print – unlike the dried up inkjet cartridges! When i do use it I do large volumes of 250 pages or so 3 or 4 times a week. you can get replacement after market cartridges for them cheap from ebay and they have worked well for me.

I find it hard to believe that anyone could be naive enough to think British people aren’t just as racist/ignorant as any others, a lot of threads on here prove that without a doubt:

    http://www.singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/slaves-and-travellers

    http://www.singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/do-travellers-pay-their-taxes

I think maybe (assuming this story is true) that some people are just to stupid to argue with. Now, I have to wash my sweaty face again – these threads are so upsetting :(

Ac oat of watered down PVA (not sure about PFA) then Vinyl based emulsion should work very well. If you don’t use PVA first the bricks soak up a lot of paint. We used to paint the lines on the track at Halesowen cycling club with mat vinyl emulsion and they lasted years, outside in all weathers.

NECK BRACE! it seem silly to spend all that on a bag to protect your bike when you could fall off it and wreck it at any point! At least you have a better chance of survival.

why not just ask her what type of outdoor pursuits she is into and let her talk about herself – though if you follow my advice you may find it quicker to dump yourself by text message to save her the bother.

    Anything Thatcher ever said?

1 – there is no such thing as community

2 – need to end dependency culture

the break down of the first (by the government from the late 40’s on) led to the second – you can’t have it both ways!

What I don’t understand is the ‘small minded’ comment? it seemed such a small minded thing to say :?
