Make sure you can get the boot lid up…

I put mine on too far back once, loaded it up with camping gear, couldn’t get the boot open more than about 30cm.

Had to load the car through the back seats. It was a colossal ball ache…

    Freddie can do no wrong.

If he did a shit in an old ladies hat, I’d still love him…

I’ve tried a few but settled on Derby’s, they seem to nick me less… I bought a big pack of 100 for £7 posted from a fella in Turkey. Bargain!

I lived in Furzton for four years a few years ago… it was unlike any other place I’ve lived. Soulless is a common description but I think that maybe a bit harsh… I’m just used to places with a bit more ‘character’. I think if you meet the right people anywhere can be a good place to live and I had a great time living there.

Personally, I’d look at Stony Stratford and over at the Northampton side maybe Castlethorpe or Hanslope but that’s because I feel more at home in 1900 terraces than new builds.

Back when I was there you could get the best chicken Kebabs in the country from a van in a lay by in Shenley Church End! 8)

I had to replace my old CRT a few months ago and it’s turned into a flaming minefield… the last time I did it your choices were a small telly or a big telly.

In the end it turns out LED ones are still LCD panels, it’s just the back light that is LED. Supposedly, the brightness of the LED’s is brighter but dims on the blacks so the they increase the dynamic range…

Then there was the refresh rate which turns out to be mostly marketing bullshit anyway and I haven’t seen any motion lag on a good quality TV for years.

I spent what can only be described as far too much time looking at them and I couldn’t really see much difference, even with the TV’s side by side.

I had an LG LED one in the end as it had a five year warranty (from John Lewis) and the picture quality is fantastic. You can even nerd around with the most minute colour settings if you’re a bit colour obsessed like me!

    It’s fine mate…

The worst bit for me was the worrying about it in the days before hand.

When our cat Foggy was about a year old we looked after our mates cat when they went traveling and they got on fine…

…but then we had another kitten shortly after and we had to re-home him after about 5 weeks as foggy wouldn't stop kicking the shit out of him at every given opportunity.

We got ours from a really great breeder who took the kitten back and re-homed him as it didn't work out.

Me and the boy (6) have just made a sledge out of some old Ikea shelving and bit's of old wood out of the shed. It's even got flattened steel tent poles for runners… come on!

    Testing this afternoon!

The Mrs has a NC10 and loves it.

Watch the mains lead where it connects to the computer though, they get flakey really easily if they're knocked about…

How about a nice second hand Amp/speakers on e-bay? You can get some good stuff for peanuts if you don't mind it being a few years old.

    I got a Denon PMA250II and some Wharfedale Diamond 3's for about 75 quid…

I worked in a HI-FI shop years ago and we always used to use "Brasso" on ours…

From centre to edge, never around the disc. Don't get it on the printed side though or the artwork will come off.

I bought a Belkin "Tunecast" when I was in the same situation as you. It was a bit cack… always needed re-tuning every few miles.

I ended up doing what skidartist suggested.

I guess it depends on the TV. Sometimes they can run on NTSC signal as well PAL. Or you could use a converter…? But it's a bit of dicking around.

Are the games a different region code too?

I'd flog it over there and replace it when you get to this end…

    I Fooking love New York!

I took the wife for her 40th a couple of weeks ago. We stayed in the “Park Central” on 7th and 56. It was great! Clean, modern and it’s got a really nice New Yoikey /art deco-ey reception.

It’s only about a few minutes walk from Broadway/Central Park/Times Square and all that but it’s still not to hectic. And there’s a subway station next door!

    http://www.parkcentralny.com/

Booked it through Expedia and got a good rate…

I started off with Specialized Nimbus (1.5") but I kept getting dumped on my face by manhole covers and slightly greasy roads.

I Swapped them for Schwalbe City Jets and we get on fine. Never had much of a problem with punctures using either tyre. I’m sure there is nowt wrong with the Nimbus’ but we just didn’t get on…
