    Is this for a Mk1 or a Mk 2 sherpa? I think I have a hanger for a Mk1 in the shed.

You can also access Virgin Radio UK, Virgin Radio Anthems, Virgin Radio Chilled and Virgin Radio Groove via TuneIn and Radioplayer on Google Home or the Amazon Echo too. Just say ‘OK Google, play Virgin Radio UK’ or whichever station you would like. If it can’t find it, say ‘OK Google, play Virgin Radio UK/Chilled/Anthems/Groove on Radioplayer’ or TuneIn.

Just tried “Play Virgin radio UK on TuneIn” and it worked, on my phone, I’m not at hoime so can’t test it on the hub.

It had changed to “Play Virgin Radio UK” but now (well from about 3 days ago) even that doesn’t work. The only solution I’ve found so far is to cast from the TuneIn app on my phone.

Not a ‘deal’ as such just a fairly cheap and good all season tyre.

I use one on my Stooge Mk4 round the lakes with no problems 👍

How about the Stooge Junker bar? 70 or 85mm rise, and 22.2 clamp.

Yep, Ford has had a bad batch of Injectors, our delivery van has been affected. Unfortunately, there is a backlog/waiting list to have the new injectors fitted as so many vans have been affected. >:-(

@Clink I’m 5’10” and have ridded both a Medium and a Large. I can happily say that the Medium was the correct size and the Large was too big. Mainly in the wheel base/manuvrabilty side of things, the Medium felt natural and large felt big and awkward.

I’m still waiting for mine too. Has everyone had an email with tracking numbers etc?

Looks like they only have 45mm length at CRC but the Funn Funnduro is what i use, stack hight is 32mm.

Depends on which platform you are using but Maverick maps on android is good for uploading routes to follow & figure out where you strayed off the path you were thought you were on. But, yes I have a subscription to OS maps and it is a great all rounder for route planning and following.

Bing maps (Microsoft maps) has an OS maps option for the UK if all you want to do is look.

So I’ll give you a Huawei Mediapad related answer.

We have a Mediapad T8 LTE (used on Wi-Fi only) and it’s great for the family. We mainly use it for watching films and parent social media browsing. The battery lasts well, it’s quick enough to load apps and we’ve created a child’s google account so we can monitor what the boy installs/watches etc. We even ended up buying a 10″ Huawei Mediapad for my dad to use as his Nexus 7 was getting a little decrepit, it’s so good he refuses to believe we spent only £130 on it!

    I’m 5’10” and ride a 19″ next-gen with a 35mm stem and 800mm bars. It’s definitely bigger than the 17″ first-gen it replaced but I feel it’s a difference for the better.
I mainly use 650+ at the moment and yes the BB is a little lower but I’m not forever striking the peddles off rocks or other trail obstacles.

If you are swapping between boost and non-boost wheel sets you will need to change the rear swap-outs, not a hard job but I know it’s something that I wouldn’t be bothered to do before a ride. And as said you will need boost (110×15) fork for the front so would need boost adaptors for you non-boost front wheel.

I’ve just bought my Mrs a new Deore M6000 Double crankset Form CRC

    £55.99 in 170mm 38/28 minus £10 discount for new members and £7.50 for BB = £53.49

I have to agree with you trevmccdonald It’s not on my list of favourites. I’ve enjoyed riding it once interestingly that was south to north, there are much better trails in the lakes.

Yes, it is passable, I have friends who have ridden it all, they have much greater trials skills than me. Still not one of the trails they regularly ride.

What hub? BT? You may need to split the 2.4 & 5Ghz Wi-fi channels, figure out which is the best and connect the firestick to that one.

New MT500 flattie overshoes are velcro for this reason, and they’re moving (moved?) to velcro for the spd version as well.

The velcro on the new MT500 Flatshoe overshoe is no better. Both of my overshoes have ripped the velcro off after only 6 rides.

I’m assuming that you have a single narrow-wide style chainring? Is it new?

I had this problem for the first 100 or so miles with one of my chainrings, I think it was a superstar components one, it went away with a bit of use/ware

My bet would be that it is a Raceface x-type crank as the bolt in the OP looks a lot like their self-extractor style. 10mm Alan key outer face and 8mm inner?

To dig up a thread from 6 years ago I’ve been using my IRN BRU bottle, untaped, for years with no problems.

I did wonder where to get an extinguisher from, I’ll ask next time I’m at the tip.

Interestingly The SRAM service manual says 4 tokens in 120mm 29″ Pikes.

Mine, bought direct from SRAM, have 4 tokens I’m ~67Kg and this feel about right for me.

Just checking if its a typo but the MX8 is an 11 speed cassette, the MX3 is the 10 speed.

Another +1 for Decathlon X-light £29.99. I use it for exactly what you describe. Plenty warmth but doesn’t pack quite as small as some of the more expensive jackets.

Love that Sherpa superfastjellyfish. So tempted to swap my 29er FS for one but as a one bike for all man, a bit worried I’ll regret it on long bumpy rides.

Replaced my 26″ FS with it in November and never looked back @andyflaw. Longest ride is 23.4miles Stavley -> Gatesgarth/Nan beid and back, plenty of bumpy and no broken back. 29ers roll man……

Stanton sherpa with 30T chainring/42t expander, 120mm Pikes, Mavic Crossride wheels, ’15 Nobby Nic/Slant six tyres and no dropper it’s around 28.5Lb. No light weight but a great bike for the ups and downs of the lakes.

I have been passenger in a 535d with the needle ‘off the clock’ at 160+ but no way of telling if that is accurate.

I’ve never ridden much over 5 hours but a medium feel comfortable enough for me.
I got measured at the Edinburgh store before it closed, I’m 5’10 and they recommended I ride a medium with a 120mm stem.
I did sit on the large but it felt too big/long and I didn’t fancy shortening the stem length.

Going back to what people were saying about an ICE contact, could it be that the St Johns first aid app created one for you? Try re-installing the app and checking the setting within it!?

I’ve had Tiva Links and currently own some 5:10 Freerider VXi elements. My links lasted 18 months from new, winter-summer-winter, and were grippy enough, dried well on the radiator with news paper in and were comfortable. And that’s also my opinion of the Freerider VXi elements (2 months in) a little more grip, maybe. I also had my doubts about the flat soul but haven’t noticed any lack of traction but haven’t tried them in winter slop/wet grass yet either.

I really like Maverick for mapping, it’s accurate and easy to use an it loads and cashes maps (I use OS 1:25k) so you can either preload over Wi-Fi, or stream if you have mobile data signal.
Drag and drop downloaded GPX files into \maverick\tracks and you can load the route you want to follow, and track your ride.

I had an old (M486) set of Shimano Deore brakes fitted to a 2nd hand bike i bought for commuting, they had the same problem.
Turns out that there was a small amount of brake fluid leaking from the piston seal onto the pads/rotor causing them to sequel and a lack of stopping power. New pads solved this initially but after a little riding the same would happen again. Check the caliper pistons for sighs of fluid.

How about linking Nest brow on the A591 over to Sykes I genuinely don’t know what the path is like (yes, yes its a FP) but that’d set you up for a ride along under High Rigg to Legburthwaite. Then climb up Sticks (then on to Helvellyn summit if you’d like) descending along the dodds to Calf how pike, finishing on the marked path down red screes and Wanthwaite bank then spinning back on the roads. It’d be a Long day though.

I’m not your height (5’10”) but ride a 18″ with 80mm Rebas plus a 70mm stem and find it comfortable reach/size wise, but, I mainly use the bike with cross tyres on for commuting, for which it is prefect.
I do find when I put on 2.2 Kenda Nevgals to go trail riding that the BB is a little low, and the handling twitchy so I’ve been looking into raising the Rebas to 100mm by removing the internal spacer they apparently all have…to my best knowledge….

Worth a ride IMO. Park in Thorthwaite, ride up the fire road to where ever your destination may be, then descend B/Way back.

I do the same as GaryLake for all the cuts on my tubeless tyres. Old inner-tube cut to ~2″x2″ and superglued on top of the cut (Sidewall or tread) and a bit of gaffa tape to secure. I also haven’t died…..yet.
