That is a nice build, lovely colour. Good to see another Malvern man too.

I’d second the vote for Narex at your price point, I used them on a woodworking course and for the price I think they are hard to beat. I was close to buying them before opting for a set of Ashley Isles which were nearly twice your budget but damn good to use too.

Scienceofficer- how do you find the Kinesis Maxlight wheelset? I’m thinking about ordering a pair but can’t decide between the kinesis and hope/Stan combo. Apologies for the hijack

I was made redundant in February and had similar feelings to yourself. The company I worked for went bankrupt so I was only entitled to statutory redundancy payout but hey ho life goes on. I have not rushed the job search and plan to find something that is right for me. I did plan to make the most of the weekdays by riding the malvern hills while they’re at their most quiet but that hasn’t quite worked out.

This is Betsy, she is my girlfriends Bengal cat but I made claim to her the moment she came into our lives.

JohnClimber I really like the panorama and CountZero good work with that sunset

Three Fish – that second image is amazing, I’d happily hang that on my wall.

Bianchi Boy – I think I will put the battery on charge and see if the mood takes me. Apologies for the autocorrect error on your name in my previous post.

Bianchi-Bot – that owl shot is stunning. I love the crispness of the eye.

There is a lot of inspiring photographs in this thread, makes me want to get the camera out and try and contribute.

I’m heading up the Malvern Hills tomorrow. I live so close yet have hardly ridden them, I have been watching footage on YouTube trying to piece together a mental image of all the fun bits.

Man do I want one of these bikes! I am always too late for the large frames that end up in the classifieds.

I have a Bizango but as a beginner cannot really offer much of an opinion other than I look forward to riding it come the weekends even if I do have horribly under powered, spindly legs that groan at the sight of an incline.

As a beginner I am unsure whether I would even make it up the path from the North Hill/Clock Tower car park. I live a fifteen minutes drive from the hills but am yet to psyche myself up for a ride. Going to give the easy route on the BackOnTrack website a go soon though.

Thanks for posting peasant. It doesn’t seem like Kinesis wheels are overly popular. I have been searching the web for some reviews and there is hardly anything about. Decision to gamble on the Maxlights or go with the more commonly used Hope Pro2 and Stans ArchEx combo.

Thanks daftvader for letting me tag along. Good luck on getting the info you require.

I am saving for a Cotic Solaris. Not sure why I want one, but I do.

My fitness needs upgrading before my current bike but the Solaris is tugging at my wallet!

I hope you don’t mind me tagging my question onto your thread?

I have been considering the Kinesis Maxlight IV 29″ wheels, they received a very good review from What Mountain Bike but I was hoping someone may have some real world experience of these wheels?

Apologies for jumping on your thread daftvader.
