It sounds obvious but you need to seal up all the leaks – round doors and windows mainly. No point insulating a collander!

PB and Gumtree seems to be a magnet for ‘spivs and gamblers’, so if you dont have a good radar for fanjos and penis beakers stay away :D

But if you can cope with kids and the messing, you can find/sell OK. I just sold a hub to Germany via PB.

You have to prove you bought them from there. It is your fault SD haven’t done anything wrong do lets stop hitting them with the Superstar Bombers.
Instead write to SD explaining and asking them nicely and if that doesnt work try Adidas. This approach shows genuineness and has served me well – Timberland replaced some shoes bought in the US after 5 years by this approach!

I’ve tried shimano, Hadley, 240, hope xc and pro2, AC/WTB and decided pro2 on flow is about as good as it needs to be for AM. There is a reason they are so popular! Tho people insist on buying good hubs and using cheaper cassettes that cut into them.
CK are superb but unnecessary, and WTF is with all these Kings with cheapo 317 rims on them is beyond me.

It’s the Ryanir effect – you take the supercheap prices but think its just extra for free, then moan when you don’t get BA service

Simples. I wanted kids since I was late teens, odd for a bloke I guess, and kept badgering the missus to have kids. I can’t think of a single thing that matters more to me than my kids. Simples.

From what I bothered to listen to, Ralph said some pretty accurate things about the British at the time which have been borne out by history – which in my book makes it fair comment, not hatred.

I hope EM sues the DM, its a piece of s**t paper that xenophobes, bigots and idiots read to reinforce their already narrow minded view of the world.

Pffft. You should have given him a second berating – for getting caught.
When I were a lad drunk in charge of a bike, the sight of the bizzies had me fooking off super quick using my superior local knowledge of alleyways, cut throughs and hiding places (well one time anyway).
Nothing sobers you up like running from authority :D

Whot Murray said except use as long a piece of wood batten as you can get into each hole, then fill and rail mount will screw to the batten. If filler is not taking just wet plasterboard edges wiht water and if you have it a touch of pva to seal/bond it.

Following from certain rececnt threads…is that a mumsnet-ism?

Oh and I got pink hotrocks from gumtree, the only problem there is heavy front forks – 145 and she’s deffo in 24″ range, wouldn’t go 26″ wheels as I think the front wheel gyroscopic effect is too great for them offroad.

I use thudbuster, wife uses USE XCR, Thud is better for really rough but more expensive, USE ok for less bumpy. Have been looking at Suntour, havent tried but looks like a good middle ground option.

Read the Local Plan, look at other devlopments and discuss with planning office. Currently looking at one of these but for an existing outbuilding and its still tough.

Additional option is to start using the site for perfectly legitiate but totally objectionable purposes, such as storing multiple brightly rainbow coloured shipping containers, and rusting cars (drained of all fluids so no environmental isues) piled on top of each other. Couple of years of that and they’ll welcome a nice house.

Either way dont be in a hurry!

Crashed hard on first run of Willy Waver as friend in front lost it equally hard in to that tree. I reckon, looking at the way it’s been beaten up, many people have hit it!

I hit what I presume is ‘that tree’ very hard a week ago, that’ll be new forks and I am still limping…

You should always sleep with a place before buying (just like any partnership really), so take a sleeping bag with you.

To summarise: present yourself naked with a sleeping bag

Besides i never asked for recommendations or solutions. I merely enquired whether anyone else has experienced this.

Fair enough, our mistake, you just wanted typical STW responses, here we go then …
