soak with WD type stuff, plus may help if you take it into warm house to help penetration, as much heat as you can give it infact, on the radiator or something.

Top tips – always tighten slightly before trying to undo, it helps break the ‘bond’ on the threadface it is pushing against, and if you can also make this a sharp twist to ‘shock load’ it, as long as this wont **** the screw head

I didnt do one because I came to the conclusion you have to be a high flier, or run your own business with ambitious plans, for it to be worthwile – else you just learn a load of stuff that you will never be in a position to do/try out.

I did something else instead which led to career change, however my main motivation was actually personal development.

Take it to your local A&E or walk-in centre.

well no he didn’t , he gave up a $1000 share in Apple for $1000

More than that, he gave up at least $2250 of debt risk for $1000 in his pocket.

My conclusion – Britain can be summed up by the fact that I’m within spitting distance of the Capital City and my extortionately expensive service provider can’t even muster a frikkin phone signal!!!

From what I heard on the radio t’other day (Today programme, so its gospel) its your crappy smart phone. Supposedly the phone companies were so busy making phones do other things that they forgot to remember to make the actual phone bit very good at all. 4G gonna fix that, apparently. Word.

English – the one speaking increasingly loudly and slowly when trying to communicate with any non-english speaker.

So am I the only one around here who performs minor surgery on himself? In my defence I did learn it from my doctor dad who regularly used our dinner table as inpromptu operating table, and who taught me that a fresh stanley knife is as good as damn it sterile!

I would guess a bit of thorn went right in deep? Swelling likely to be from infection in that case, pain is pressure build up from pus. If so I usually use nail clippers to cut the thing right open so I can clear out the debris and pus, disinfect it really well and get it healing.

What are the trail conditions like at Swinley over the winter?

you can ride swinley pretty much any conditions, its just best to avoid certain trails if its too wet and/or when they start to get churned up.

My xmas motto is to try and ride every day over the period (on my hopefully soon to be complete BFe). So as I am a Swinley local I am happy to oblige.

Can you do this with XT QR hubs which I have on both my bikes?

No. Because of the cup and cone bearing design they are axle size specific.

Sushi is all about the rice, obessiveness about the rice preparation in fact. Prepping the ‘toppings’ arent to get excited about, just really good quality really fresh stuff.

Anyway I have this The Book Of Sushi its about 15yrs old but pretty much unused, you can have it for the postage if you like.

I suggest you save your money, the internet has everything you need, because there’s more interesting japanese stuff like shabu-shabu – buy a pot and a camping stove and cook a deux, very romantic.

mail me in profile if you want

only way to avoid it would be to get some proper permission and decent surfacing down which couldn’t be turned into uber pr0 doublez in an afternoon.

Usually a bad move resigning before signing new contract. Its only an offer until you sign, and if they had let you down they wouldnt have given you any compensation. So like already said, call to tell them its off and write a nice letter saying sorry. I would tell them personal circumstances unexpected changed so you cant join them at this time but would like to keep in touch in case an opportunity arises in the future. Best not tell them you had a better offer. esp. from current employer because they can feel used.

In my foolish youth I once escapted the attention of the rossers on my bike – riding without lights I was. Just didnt want to do the time.

Once rode with mate, so drunk that I looked back to see him gently arc across the road right into the front of a mk1 Golf (funny how you rememeber the most banal detail when drunk), ended up sprawled right across the front :D then in hospital for 3 days

I have to be away about 12.30/1, I have maps of Swinley (google images swinleysingletrack.jpg) and can lead a loop of the main suspects. There is a decent enough pub you can drive to after (Cricketers on the A30 at Jn with the A322) but only really a cafe to finish at. Normally I ride in from the other side across Barossa Common to meet at the Lower Star Post but can keep going to meet in the carpark.

Tony doesn’t teach anything particularly clever, he is just a centre of excellence for basic common sense and applied technique. Fundamentally, he knows how to teach effectively, he knows the right stuff to teach, he assess you for what you need to learn at that session and focusses on that, and as said aims to strip you down from bad/wrong habits and build you back up right. Lastly he’s infectiously passionate.

I feel I learned 4 primary things; 1. wrists back, 2. look up to where you are going not where you are and feel the bike. 3. riding offroad is like skiiing, you angle the bike under you and edge the tyres with your weight just like skiing (weird but it works) 4. the little push just before a jump is all thats required.

Lastly, Tony monitors the forums on his smartphone so he knows we are bigging him up!

Pick a characteristic you think your child has, or otherwise would like to have, then find all the permutations of words to describe that diretly or in any tenuous way, in every language or religion or culture you can come up with. Then choose from those or use them as inspiration.

I also chose names that have a sonorous quality, so when I call them it has a postive pleasant sound, not some a grating chavvy name or name with harsh sylabubs

Prepare to be knackered like never before

This. I used to be unable to walk properly for days after a 3 stage trial.

I gave up offroading for doing it under my own steam. Pity you are so far up north ‘cos I have a KLX250 enduro I need to shift.

I used to race that against at these big bangers, and all you get in a 450/600 is a too much wheelspin and a bike you cant pick up anymore when you get knackered and fall off yet again.

Done some amazing long distance trials over the black mountains etc. Join a local club and check out the 3 stage trial/long distance trial ‘scene’. And do the yam or KTM or BMW experiences first!

Nah all 3 of my bikes have maintenance issues, and are still dirty. I’m a lazy little focker but its pointless riding around with camelbak full of tools and spares and not using them!
