IIRC rimtape dont work on these – I couldnt get it work on 717 and stans dont recommend it, so I have just bought stans rim strips instead.

Couple of years ago I got the family hopelessly lost in Fontenbleau, until we happended upon Rue Luxembourg – a cobbled road right in the forest!

Boil in the bag? Or sous-vide as the lovvie chefs call it. If you get a vacuum sealer you can bag up loads of individual meals and pop them in the kettle, just keep pressing it on every 30 secs or so and should re-heat in a few mins.

Oh and +1 for as much raw stuff as poss.

Some girl was dancing behind me

Dancing. That’s where it all started to go wrong for you. Blokes stand at side drinking and leave the girls and their handbags to it.

If you will enter the forbidden zone you takes your chance and pays the price.

bead blasting must be best bet. Sand blasting is NOT to be recommended, roughing up the surface of aluminium like that is a recipe for micro stress raisers for future fatigue fracture

also, my oven is bottom-heating – which may be the culprit.

Sounds like the bottom overcooked compared to the rest. Once its overcooked and the texture is damaged it got no strength to stay together.

I find the same if I sit stuff on my oven floor, the conduction through the metal overheats the bottom compared to conduction on sides from the hot air.

Reduce the conduction – always put in wire shelf etc raised up a bit. Do you have a fan oven?

    Yes.

Had great fun doing our £25 photoshoot with the kids a few years back, good laugh. They were quite offended when I continued laughing at their prices. cheeky thieving w*****s. Wife too the idea and went to local photographer.

Credit crunch, how can it be they are still in business charging £200 for a £40 print?

I believe Humph was described as ‘blue chip filth’. Dee does a good job, but I don’t think it suits him as well and prefer his usual droll stuff.

I love the alternative word meaning round, bloomin’ brilliant.

Only because it came up cheap on the forum. Never ridden BMX before so guessed it might be better for me, cant tell you if its good or pants yet.

Buyer has a reasonable time to collect, else you can charge him storage. Give him an ultimatum then tell him you will get rid of it. Dont tell him you will resell it, and dont sell it through your ebay account else you will soon get a (thieving b*****ds) paypal recharge.

For those that don’t know Swinley has very good parking. As you drive in suggest you turn left into the first car park which is outside Go Ape.

Then I suggest that we meet on the path at the top of this car park outside the gate next to Go Ape that leads into the forest.

Then we can sort out if we are going as one or more groups, heading to the whole nine yards or up gravel hill first and who is leading etc.

3/4 inch chipboard out of a sheet to whatever sizes you want

Its a false economy to get chipboard or MDF, both absorb moisture and warp over time. OSB or WSP ply will last better for a littel extra cost.

First thing I would do is insulate it and seal it up from draughts.

Old stainless steel kitchen workbench from ebay.

Plan loads of shelves (floor to wall double slot 370mm shelving stuff from screwfix, 18mm OSB from B&Q cut lengthwise into equal 1/3s.

2 off Roller tool cab with tool chest on top from halfords, machine mart etc.

i got back from a ride once, commented that my phone had been on the roof of the car while i was riding, set it back on the roof of the car while I sorted the bike out.

go on, guess what happened next….

All too often I leave to go to work, put cup of coffee on roof whilst putting my s**t in the car…and as I brake gently at the end of driveway…..donk, donk, donk, splash, smash….no doubt compounding my neighbours already dim view of me.

Yes, and liability is pretty much a dead cert, but you have to prove actual damage. The average kind of damage should be addressed by a compensation order in the criminal proceedings. Very much depends on the circumstances but if no compensation order was made you are probably not entitled to anything, even if the perp can pay

Or, if my some very small chance, you actually mean anything you’ve written, you really should go and have a long lie down in the darkon a busy road.

Lovely ride today in Swinley. gloriously muddy, almost no-one there (except for the usual Gully Rats).

So what happens? My riding pal has a head on collision on the new Stickler with the only other riders!

Have you got some kind of stupidity tourettes? Why would you post something like this on public forum. The fact that you seem to have justified this to yourself as acceptable and reasonable is the most worrying part.

What you are saying is ‘I want it, but I dont like what it costs’ so I have just decided to take it instead because I am entitled to it’

Think – if someone did this to you would you like it? They provide a service, what do you do? Turn up and just take, and you want to be a freeloader at that.

What a pathetic blonker you are Rodney.

pfffff, if it was just me then a reasonably small amount but i have 3 endlessly hungry mouths to fill. I dont even want to think about it

+1, its not me its the unbelievable amount ‘they’ get through

When i was an undergrad i remember buying loaves of bread for 7p in Tesco and value cheese for about a quid. It is amazing how far you can stretch money when only eating cheese toasties.

I recall buying living off a tin of beans and a loaf of bread, bought with a cheque….

Mary Portas is correct. Not suprising as she is the retail expert with donkeys years experience (and wearing rather well too).

You cant compete on price/convenience with online, you need to increase the motivation for people to got to town (footfall) and the increased spending comes as a side effect.

I hate going shopping, not because I object to spending the extra, but because shops and high streets and shopping malls and out of town centres are all boring inane banal places.

    ‘No returns’ on the listing

I can write on my lisitng that I am the King of England, doesn’t mean its true or has any validity in law does it.

No returns generally means you cant send it back if you dont like it or bought in error etc.

Sale of Goods doesnt apply to non-business sellers selling second hand goods, but via eBay there is either an express ebay contract for sale (ebay rules) and/or an implied contract for sale.

Simply, you bought Size 8 Men’s shoes, that is clear. They arrived
    Size 8 Women’s.

This would appear (regardless of sellers bullish answer) to (in legal parlance) be an innocent misrepresentation. Clear enough because it took STW to point this out to OP himself. You should maintain dignity and point out the unfortunate error to the seller, if that doesnt work stop communicating with him and raise a dispute in ebay that’s what its there for.
