My missus who knows about these things is with the AA. Gotta watch them tho., give you loads of cheapies and freebiers first year – then try and charge you next year with card details the cheeky f****s keep hold of.

They infomed us that our insurance had gone up, so she informed them that we were cancelling, and they then told us the insurance hadnt gone up after all :D

Whatever you do, when you pay by card tell them to delete the card details……..and take you off the marketing junk mail list.

And…..will walkers also be banned and subsequently punished if they wander into these protected areas in Swinley?

definitley the ones who walk on the made up MTB trails in Swinley should be. I mean a whole f*****g forest and you have to walk on made up trails, with berms etc. I even met some walking down Deerstalker FFS!

Anyway badgerbonk or whatever your troll names is – tell us what MONEY you have contributed to said forest/MTB facility before you start claiming preferential RIGHTS to use it.

    Git.

Yikes – post, take a break, return and woah! its alive. I was just expecting to be bombed by the STW pedants for to much So-ing, and POW 32 replies, SO….

Woody, yak and cupra – that has been my holding defence for about 2 yrs – we started small – you don’t get much smaller than 2 mice. Then it was one…I couldn’t put up with the pong from the cage one day (clean those bl****y mice out – same condition precedent – not my responsibility)), relented and found one rotting (half eaten infact….eugh!) mouse. So you can imagine my smugness since….”dog? You lot can’t even look after a couple of mice FFS” ……hence the 3 month walking thing.

philconsequence – not a bad shout, the Battersea annex is 20mins away in Old Windsor – but I am afraid that would actually only encourage them…

carbon337 – I utterly abhor untrained uncontrollable dogs, and always said if I had a dog it would be gun training, might even start shooting again.

Karinofnine – no chance, that would just compound my already pikey image.

leigh5smith – good shout, I love border collies – they can well trained, very smart, less prone to insanity, less skitterish…plenty of ticking going on there

Anyway, I’m not saying I wont walk it, I just refuse to get a dog unless its not my primary responsibility, else I would have one already. Besides my missus refused to shut my chickens up at night, so they all got eaten by freddy fox

Contractor at one of our overseas sites fell in love with a local ‘lady’, who mostly stayed with him in his accomodation when he was there.
It took him a stupidly long time to reaslise that when he was on rotation she mostly stayed with anyone and everyone else, and that this was her living.
He went loopy, blamed the company for allowing it to happen and spent 3 years waging war trying to get the company prosecuted for anything and everything you can imagine – finally declared a ‘vexatious litigant’ by judge.
    He was most definitely fired.

I sold some Crossrides on ebay to a Polish chap, I posted to a Self Store in Essex. I was very wary, having heard all the ebay foreign postage scams, but I got a name of a person who would receive them at the self store and used registered (signed for) post to make sure I had a delivery trail.

I also got the guys direct email and emailed him loads of pics and got him to confirm he was OK with them. All incase I got a paypal chargeback. Plus it was ‘only’ £80….and he had feedback.

Guy emailed me a while later to say how pleased he was with them.

BTW where is Surrey is your self store? If its near me I will check it out for you.

Must take issue with you there. I have had good results at stunningly cheap prices. But pay much less = get much less, esp. not someone to moan at down the phone.
Its the easyjet effect – you want the frankly stupidly cheap prices, but still expect british aiways service.

AFAIK the 52s etc are cheap and soft stamped disks. More expensive and you seem to pay for the extra heat treated hardened ground surface – and can be cut out instead of stamped.

Good luck with paypal, just took me 1.5 months getting them to stand by payment protection for a non-ebay item.
BTW for paypal you need the European Small Claims Form…..

Just because their t&cs tell you something thankfully doesn’t necessarily make it true.
I would expect your legal rights to be that they dont have to refund if they can offer you a reasonable alternative.
If the alternative is not reasonable – and whay is offered is not then they must refund you.
I sugeest you give them a choice of 3 that you are prepared to accept and if they cant make space then demand a refund.
As I keep telling everyone I find a completed one of these http://hmctscourtfinder.justice.gov.uk/courtfinder/forms/n001-eng.pdf is 100% persuasive in 100% of cases.

Mate of mine bought a place with damp. Got a firm in to test and they confirmed and quoted large to fix it. Only then did he produce the ‘warranty’ from said firm for the ‘remedial’ work they had done 5yrs previously.
They got very upset and accused him of trying to scam them because he should have shown them the certificate at the outset.

I bought an 1800s house that had been ‘remedied’ by injection. It was still damp, but once I had cleared all the bridging going on outside with soil and badly placed patio – ta-dah.

Damp course injection = snake oil, end of.

Same thing you do any other time someone is sitting too close behind you – ease off the gas and make the gap in front of you bigger and therefore safer.

Narain Karthikeyan tried that. Turns out it wasn’t safer. Who’d have guessed eh?

Maybe not training on it’s own

Read the thread? You mean the parts were where you make the unfounded assumptions that the rossers in question are a)on some mysterious ‘police business’ that requires them to drive agressively and dangerously, and b)are ‘trained and selected’ super humans for whom they laws of physics bend and the duty of care to other road users doesn’t apply.

F1 drivers DONT manage it, because by definition it is not possible to safely drive damgerously, and when it goes wrong in such situations the results are often catastrophic.

Stop watching action films and put the playstation away.

Also – what is unsafe for you to do is probably pretty safe for them to do given their training and car handling ability.

Alain Prost tried this one as defence to speeding once, didn’t work for him either.

Doesnt matter how skilled you are when you are caught out going too fast or too close – slowing down and leaving a gap is the safety margin.

I made a formal complaint about a suicidal police motorcyclist riding on my rear quarter and bullying his way in at a motorway junction – in torrential rain. Right palaver.
Its bad enough all the moronic nutcase riders I have to put up with commuting, without the rossers doing it too.
I would have ‘pulled him over’ at the lights we stopped at and made him get one of his ‘colleagues’ to attend, if only I had a valid tax disc at the time ….

Definately standard fitment unlike the newer versions, I run mine single ring with a hope ring

My 980 – that I run on a 2×9 is standard fitment – except granny has some weird inner spacing, you can use std rings but have to use washers to pack it out – or buy cheap from rose bikes

I used PP and paid the fees myself for an ‘unused’ iphone I bought on Gumtree. Turned out to be knicked so it has been turned over to the Police. It took me 1.5 months and threat of a European Small Claim to get PP to honour the protection – which I am sure because it was an off-ebay purchase.
