They know who they are, and more importantly they know who you are, and that’s all you need to know

According to some, did you know that MTBers are apparently to blame for worn paths in this fair land?

neighbour berated me for my kids toboganning down hill past his house last year Apparently we were selfishly compacting the snow so making it a problem for cars.

Dimwit couldn’t grasp my comparison of 2+ tons of SUV on 4 contact patches the size of postacards vs 18kg of small child on toboggan size contact patch.

I remember motocrossing at speed across frozen ploughed fields, like some kind of extreme sport.

*pops to library* I have now

Its as you would expect for LS job – one of the FM heads is ‘exceptionally severe weather’. Having said that the FM is including but not limited to, ergo is not exclusive and depending on your relationship/client’s contract manager etc you might be able to run a weather claim if you were prevented/delayed by something unusual that you didn’t include in the price.

    It is really really simples

They dont give a **** about you, the ambulance chasing scum just want to charge an extortinate amount of money to someone for claiming a few quid for you.

You were not injured, you dont have anything to be compensated for.

This stuff is how this whole financial crisis we all moan about came about and is no better than MPs claiming expenses for stuff they oughtn’t.

Please do not feed the animals.

You have to give phone back to dad – IF he can provide reasonable proof of ownership, in writing.

If he can explain to him that you will then take a small claim action against daughter for recovery of phone money and holiday money, which as she lives at home will end with a county court judgement against his address and surname and will cause him years of hassle with any kind of credit application, everything from re-mortgage to DFS sofa.
Hand phone back minus relevant repaired parts, as they belong to you.

It looks dramatic but apple phones are made like lego, they just modules that slot together, although if you are filled with dread maybe you have never done stuff like this before.

I used to have a drum of methylene chloride, damn fine stuff for cleaning off grease, paint and anything else that got in its way. Good old days. Bit like modern dishwasher powder, just doesnt clean greasy parts like it used to.
Doesnt help you but thought I’d share!

I made perfectly good fist of it with drill on my front ones, used a couple of intermediate sizes on way up and drilled from inside. As the strength is in the clamping not axle and the bearing rotate around cups not axle, unless you proper fug it up its not precision engineering

Sounds to me like you should be cutting them and putting them in vertical, dig trench and bed them with lean mix ballast like fence posts. You can rough cut and place then, when set cut them level with chainsaw – esp if you have sloping site profile.

You need the ‘what is actually available’ data – so only get prices within reasonable distance to you, and be careful of autotrader because there are plenty of cheap cars that you could never buy…honeytraps.
Likely they called you quick because it was indensible and they dont want the hire car cost they avoid by offering you quick.
Also, esp. if they are low balling you, if its parked at your place, you might turn a profit by negotiating to keep it and ebay/sell for scrap. You’d be suprised what things are worth even busted. Check out ebay/local scrappies etc.

    Weather rock bike
If the rock bike is wet, it’s raining.
If the rock bike is swaying, the wind is blowing.
If the rock bike casts a shadow, the sun is shining.
If the rock bike does not cast a shadow and is not wet, the sky is cloudy.
If the rock bike is not visible, it is foggy.
If the rock bike is white, it is snowing.
If the rock bike is coated with ice, there is a frost.
If the ice is thick, it’s a heavy frost.
If the rock bike is bouncing, there is an earthquake.
If the rock bike is under water, there is a flood.
If the rock bike is warm, it is sunny.
If the rock bike is missing, there was a tornado theft.

Tricky ground, but in my non-legal opinion, it’s up to you and RM to sort – the retailer did their bit.

    -1. Not this.

If RM can prove it was delivered to your old address then you have to claim from RM for failing to redirect the mail (not sure what terms you have there).

The item should not have gone anywhere near the old address. Effective delivery for the Seller is at the sorting office where the redirect is effected.

    – Seller needs to get RM to prove that it reached the point of redirection – if RM cannot show positively that it did reach that point then Seller is liable to refund you.

What does your redirect contract say about RM liability for lost redirect mail?

If your redirect contract is standard compensation only then unfortuntely both you and the seller failed to make adequate insurance arrangements.

Properly weather seal doors from inside then wood frame, insulation board, vapour barrier and plasterboard. Easy to remove if required nice diy job. Only worth it if you do rest of garage.

This thread shows that its not the majority of MPs who are out of touch with reality. Those who do, do. Those who can’t, moan about those that do. Thankfully the adults are running the country.

The expense scandal was basically because they were/are underpaid, I wouldn’t do their job even for that increased salary and neither would any of us by the mere fact that none of us has got off us arses from the forum gone out and done it.
Like i dont think my taxes goes on benefits cheats, it goes to help those less lucky than me and balance society up, so i dont think politicans are lazy arse scum who we are doing a favour by employing.

Tesco are getting in to anything and everything now, including Garden Centres – they own Dobbies.

What do they say, of every £100 spent in the UK £8 is spent with Tesco.

Again. It was just a matter of time. Sadly. Jessops have been dying a slow death for years. I have deliberately not bought there for a couple of years now because I was waiting for this.

However, the fact they lasted so long suggests that a consolidation might mean they survive, lets hope so for the staff.
