    Will I die?

Not if you used araldite – epoxy and carbon is a potent mix – but I dont beleive that cyanoacrylate is the best substitue, rather brittle.

I only ask that when you test it you have a mate handy to record the result?

scotroutes: I’ve heard what you appear to be implying mentioned a few times in connection with Nadal. Is there any evidence to back it up or is it all internet gossip?

Woah there tiger – you want actual hard evidence to support an STW opinion/assertion??? Good lord man, get a grip.

my builders used the egyptian method – 3x50mm plastic pipes, and rolled the bugger along. It worked for Stonehenge, allegedly.

The French seem to quite actively engage in protests, I don’t even think they ask permission from the authorities first, which might seem to be a rather quaint concept on the British side of the channel.

 why am I not suprised….they are French after all, so suppose you have to make allowances. Let’s face it, they cant even understand cricket, let alone knowing their place and only protesting where they dont cause a kerfuffle.

Australia – where all the crooks were sent.

England – where all the crook came from

You dont s**t where you sleep and he said he would do it again – so he is prepared to put his wife and kids ‘family life rights’.

Maybe you guys could have a protest about it, hold up the TdF maybe – I mean lets face it, as Wiggo said ‘its only a bike race’, i’m sure the French would see it that way and be really understanding.

TO: Please can I come into your country and stay a while?
HMG: OK but you must promise to be a good boy!
    TO: Yes Sir

    a little while later..

TO: F***k you, you fascist elitist pigs, watch me make a massive public nuisance of myself with a useless but attention seeking stunt.
HMG: OK sonny, GTF out of our country.
TO: Oh that’s so unfair……..I hate you, you just dont understand me!

Ponce 12″ wheel raleigh from tip or £5 from char-i-dy shop, take off drivetrain and staballisers, cut BB housing down so it doesnt catch ankles, cut down seatpost and trim seat so can slam it reet down, ta-dah, build time <1hr. Continues to be patio fun well past progressing to 24″ wheels!

So when he is in prison, does he wander around naked?

Good question, I feel there could be a FOIA request on the Prison Service in there somewhere. That’d show them.

I want to know if he uses sunscreen on the *ahem* ‘sensitive parts’?

Its worse than you think, that ‘Made in London’ is like On One and Cotic are ‘Made in England’ – really it all came from Taiwan, probably recycled chopsticks.

Its the usual problem, people are not very intelligent, dont read the description and expect things to match the expectation they formed in their imagination rather than the reality of what is on offer.
He should have paid attention at school, then he would understand words and language better.
Paypal should not refund unless he has returned it in ‘as new’ condition, if he plays any paypal games you make that clear to them. Also if they much you about you have his names and address to issues a small claim.
Like this ‘ I am sorry that you misunderstood the description, however it was accurate and correct. I will only agree to accept the phone back in the condition it was sent to you (unused), I have already been contacted by 2 other second chance bidders offfering to buy it at this price if the buyer decides not to buy. And I have emailed paypal to put them on notice of this dispute because I have offered a full refund and you have refused but are trying to get money off.”

Roadieworld problem. This is STW, get some suspension and ride the proverbial, then your worries are over. That or go back to land of the cheese eating surrender monkeys, i’m sure they’ll be more sympathetic about the excitable lycra clad rosbeefs!

Yup know all that and agree except I want to be able to roughly work out split of labour and I want to at least be able to do materials if I want to, they might well get better rates but that is not a universal truth, also I intend to do this again. Trying to resist temptation to do any myself, important bit is that I could if I wanted to. Cheers chaps wallop if you could email me pls in profile.

Yup, got it all drawn up in autocad, want to get enough for broken down pricing by subbies and suppliers, and an idea of how long different elements (should)will take so I can draw up a schedule both trades and materials ordering.

PSA If you are going to mow that with a petrol mower, you will need a 2 stroke. I had a 2 stroke one, got it from the Roger Taylor. Sold it to a welsh chap with a lawn on a hillside….tis how I learned that 4 strokes go bang on hills due to oil starvation.

Well, if you find you need 2 more then email me, I’ve got 2 ‘new’ ones with formula adapters.

I tried them for 2 rides and you have to be some serious DH type to need them here in blighty, otherwise they just wear your pads out. The only place I can think they would help is the alps, even then my 180/160 did me OK.

The Quechua tents are dead quick when you get used to them, they are big discs but very flat and you can squash that disk oval – so take your mx-5 boot to deceathlon and see the biggest one you can fit in the boot/rear.
I used one of those generic ones like halfords to cook for family of 4, they are definitely the way to go – but get a 6 or 12 pack cannister from somewhere cheap (its all the same gas) because they are expensive to buy just 1. Take a packaway pot set, a refillable water carrier and a pop up ‘sink’

Looks just like mine, its OK but they are bit flimsy. Perfect for youngsters, esp. couloring and playing on hols. but adults have to be careful.
TBH youngsters need the attached seats to stop them falling all over the place as they fidget, kneel, stretch, lean …… separates seats only good for adults.

    sugdenr

There are 2 types, attached seats and separate seats the all fit in just the same ‘package’.

I would only recommend going really high end, the lower end cheaps on the links and fittings (plastic not metal) and they are tooo fragile.

Also I think the more expensive ones dont trap fingers quite so readily when putting away (very ouch).

A friend of ours was driving over local motorway bridge not long ago when a suited pedestrian put his bag down and casually hopped over the guard rail like he was looking for something up – ‘cept he had hopped off the bridge to plunge his death.

Anyway shibs, its not the old blokes with binoc-u-lars that you want to be worried about, its the yoofs with paving slabs – years back they lobbed one off the next bridge down from suicide bridge and killed a truck driver for Ford.

Sounds like – their easement is right of way (access) on foot only, you own the land, they can walk over it. As long as you dont ‘prevent’ their free access across the RoW then its ok, you can certainly step out onto it from a door.

The alley on the other side – looks like many people use it? If so help your neighbour put a gate in his fence and start using it, so long as other neighbour doesnt complainand it is one of many users then give it only 12yrs…

Fire glass? WTFF? Safety (toughened) glass may be prudent if your neighbour has kids etc

What makes a great cafe? Or what make a successful cafe?

A great cafe is what everyone is telling you, but that aint a business plan. You cant rely on MTB’ers, they are not regular traffic (maybe huge influx some, not all, Sat/Sun then nothing) and are not generally spenders – think of all the moaning on here about even paying for parking.

Take the Swinley cafe, it probably would not exist but for being next to the best kids play area & discovery centre for miles around. Just the forest walkers/MTBers wouldnt sustain it (at least during the week and off season) its the mum’s that keep it going during the week.

I’ve not bothered taking a bike before after hearing scaremongering on here about gangs of thieves, but after our last couple of visits I’m beginning to think that the stories are bollocks, and we tend to go out of season anyway.

I put our bikes inside at night, and never left them anywhere unlocked or unattended. It is statistically unlikely to get knicked but a nice bike stands out a mile amoongst the Haro site bikes and there is effectively no security to rely on.

??? That is what is known as mis-information – else all that massage that pro cyclists , rugger players etc have would be because they are lazy at training.

^That is what is known as mis-information.

A weak muscle is likely to be a tight muscle, and a tight muscle can often be caused by a referred stress from a weak antagonist muscle – but neither of those make all tight muscles weak muscles.

A tight muscle is a weak muscle – do pilates instead and strengthen the muscles. The reason they’re getting tight is because they’re weak.
