Yellow Stans rim tape, valves and jizz are all you need. Any tubeless ready tyre will work.

It doesn’t take long to strip a bike, half an hour ish? Another half hour for cleaning the bits and this evening spent posting here/ on Ebay. All the little bits do tend to add up quite fruitfully! You could spend the week going for test rides and 8 days from now have a shiny new velo!

Name and shame. It could be the kick up the arse they sorely need.

I’m jealous of all this abundance.
I have only today found my first cep of the season, first amethyst deceiver and a whole bunch of Parasols, still in the drumstick phase.
Wood Blewitts don’t usually pop up round here (Surrey) until late October, so if the frosts are early, there’s nowt.
There are always enough Fly Agarics to get the whole of Guildford shitfaced!

Anyone interested in picking and eating mushies should get Antonio Carluccio’s “Complete Mushroom Book”.
The descriptions of all edible UK species and poisonous imposters are far more detailed than the tradional fungus books. Some good recipes too!

Kind of strange that they went all the way over to Churt and didn’t climb the hill up to Hindhead. It would have been the biggest hill they climbed all day…

Thanks for the Lynskey tip, but at £55 I’ll be passing on those! Paragon are $13 but $40 post. I’m trying to persuade them postage only needs to be $12.75…

    Junkyard – lazarus
ignoring the politics and us all just saying whether we are left or right wing that still remains the best advice for that person as it would give her a few mths of not being homeless in order to sort it out

Morally you/we may disapprove and the person is free to what they like with the advice but it is the best way of avoiding being homeless in the short run.

I suspect they also mentioned moving in with friends, staying with family and some other choices in order to let the person choose.
I would say they were doing their job by explaining the options to the customer

What do you mean by “Genuinely mis-described”? The seller made a mistake, rather than trying to pull a fast one?
He’s refunded you already yet you still have the goods?
Seems like a decent chap. Don’t be greedy! You wouldn’t get any more from a paypal dispute…

Check out the Subaru Forester too.
The comfiest seats you’ll ever sit in. Not a real or even pretend offroader at all, but designed for rough conditions, which it copes with admirably. Solidly built and totally reliable. Makes Volvo feel flimsy…

    Check your body temperature too.
Are you checking your stools with a lolly stick? You should be!
What is your normal resting rate, and how old are you?
It sounds like you need to take a couple of days off, go and get drunk or something. Learn to relax! It’s the most valuable thing you’ll ever learn!

Pull them up by the roots with a pair of pliers; they’ll be gone for the year then, and maybe next year too.
You really don’t want to be spraying chemicals around in public places.
Given that brambles can grow a foot a day, cutting them back is a waste of time.

KMC 610, £7.95 from CRC at the moment.
Avoid SRAM PC1; they’re more stretched new than the KMC after a couple of thousand miles!

Which would you feel most comfortable doing? Feedback is pants. If the buyer leaves negative you have the option to explain things in the feedback.
Are you so ruled by the interweb you’re prepared to be an arse?

    Surbiton every time!
Surbiton is close to the river, it has a main line station (Waterloo, 20 mins), easy access to the country, wide leafy avenues, good bars and restaurants, etc.

So, have any of you bar room experts actually achieved what the OP desires, To substantially decrease your Cholesterol level?
There’s plenty of “expert” advice here but not much in the way of success stories…
    Here’s what I do!
Avoid ALL processed/packaged food, biscuits, cakes, bread and supermarket meat. Bread, even supposedly “healthy” stuff is packed with additives. Make your own (ditto cakes). It doesn’t take long and you get strong wrists. If you must have something sweet, dark choccy is the one.
Use organic milk, butter and cheese. Goat’s is even better.
Use Rape seed oil or walnut oil instead of olive oil. Eat oily fish.
Eat plenty of fresh fruit and veg, particularly leafy greens.
Drink tea instead of coffee, wine and whiskey instead of beer.
I also take omega 3 fish oil supplements (Avoid omega 6 and 9 like the plague. They restrict the uptake of omega3).
None of it is rocket science!
I can’t guarantee you will get the same results as me, but four years ago my level was 9.6, very high in LDLs; now it is 3.5, low in LDLs!
It took a couple of kicks up the arse to get me eating more healthily (I always thought I was a healthy eater, but wasn’t really; 6’1″ and 11 1/2 stone was a red herring). Three angioplastys and a double bypass made me re-evaluate stuff; not just diet, but making time to exercise, and just as important, relax.
If you can’t find the time to ride midweek, you need to!
    Good luck!

I second the Briggs abd Stratton motor.
We inherited one from the previous tenants of our old house. It was left outside under the apple tree all winter. In the spring we turned it over to empty the old oil and refill. As said, started first or second time, every time. It didn’t just do grass. It was often used to clear the meadow of the stuff the sheep couldn’t munch…

3 foot long? A small adder?
‘twould be a bleeding massive adder! They’re usually quite short , 18″-2′ , and quite stocky. Grass snakes are long and thin. The biggest I’ve ever seen was a dead one just over 8’ long!

An Elysium? You could probably do with some decent forks – Reba or Durin- but other than that, a modern hardtail will offer nothing extra. You’l be hard pressed to find anything that climbs as well.

Don’t be daft! If you want “modern” geometry stick a 120-140 fork on it. It#’ll handle it a whole lot better than these turds the kids buy today.
Your Dekerf may look delicate and precious but it’s made to much tighter tolerances than any taiwanese tat; hence it’s stronger!
    What size is it?
