That’s an American BullTerrier is it? Looks like aPitbull to me. Ugly F***er all the same.
Just shows how complicated breed spotting is. Frankly, if something looking like that, or the two above, for that matter, was growling in a poorly fenced garden I wouldn’t let my daughter anywhere near it. Not because of the breed but the size. The poor fencing says the owner doesn’t really give a sh*t about the dog, about you,or anyone else.

Staffie? They can be lovely dogs.

There’s one helluva difference between a Staffie and a Pitbull.

Likewise. HDL v LDL can’t remember which is good or bad

    POSTED 8 MINUTES AGO #

    HDL good, LDL bad.
Heroes and louts as you get told regularly in rehab.

Regarding Statins. There is a lot of bollocks talked about the side effects. They are not nearly as common as is often made out, but they do exist and are not confined to particular statins. It’s horses for courses. I can tolerate Atorvastatin but not Simva, Rhosuva etc. These make me walk like a zombie.
BUT, in half a dozen stays in cardio wards I’ve only ever met one other person with a similar intolerance.
Side effects are rarer than the press would have you believe, though some doctors’ total dismissal of any negative reactions doesn’t help matters either.

Chelski v United final then? Maybe decided on penalties?

Your faith and optimism is touching…

Good luck tomorrow. I think you’ll need it.

The retirement of the most succesfull manager in their history,
His replacement by an incompetent muppet,
Up to their eyes in debt, with owners intent on bleeding them dry,and a monstrous wage bill of has been’s and never will be’s…

That post saying Everton will have more pull in the transfer market than Man U is total bobbins as the Mancs say. All of this Man U are finished carry on is getting too much now. Ok they won’t be in next year’s CL but let us not forget they have dominated the league for the past 20 years and are still the reigning champions. Everyone lourding it over them makes me very uneasy. Just read it again and it must be a joke? Man U struggling to pay wages? I would stake any money that even if Everton make the CL then Man U will still have more pull in the market, more for transfers and more for wages. If you think Man U won’t be back then you are dillusional.

But it’s unlikely to be next year,or the year after that, or even the next ten,TBH.
United are just too big and slow and lumbering to reverse a slide in a season or two, especially if they give the muppet another crack at running the team next year.
If you were a promising young player with talent to spare, who would you trust to improve your game? Martinez or Moyes?
Martinez has enough about him to attract players, in the same way Wenger had a few years back.
It’ll be good to see both lots of Scousers mixing it up at the top again.
(Chelsea fan here, but hating the way they’ve been run recently!)

Presumably what you are on now has no relevance to the figure(s) that would be necessary to tempt you to a new employer.
    So spill.

    What Mark said!
Take the hub apart and compare it to an exploded diagram. There are how-to vids on Hope’s website and parts are widely available, often cheaply.
When you take the freehub off, watch the pawls and springs. They like to make a bid for freedom, often making their lair under the fridge where they camouflage themselves in fluff…

    suburbanreuben

Sounds like the end caps are squeezing the bearings improperly ,or maybe an internal spacer is missing. Have you just bought the hub,or rebuilt it? Did it dothis before, when geared?

    suburbanreuben
    Free Member

Is the freehub “stuck fast” when the wheel isn’t mounted in the frame?
Is the chain fitted yet? Too tight?
Have you disassembled the axle? It sounds like a bearing cone locknut could be missing.
    What hub is it?

Having tried on about a dozen different shoes in the last week, half of themsupposedly wide fitting, I finally plumped for some Wide fit Sidi Megas.
Bliss! (and the same price as normal ones)

Don’t assume Nationwide are any less greedy just because they’re not a proper bank. Biggest W*****s on the high street, in my not so humble opinion.

They’re not fit and forget by any means. Bearing play adjustment willbe a regular occurence while they’re running in (2000 miles or so),but it’s a pleasure, not a chore,to work on them. After that they seem to run forever. They’re quite loud but not unpleasant like Hope.
    I still prefer DTs though…

Rebas at 120mm are pretty unpleasant. They’re just too flexy.
Introduce some Martas with a 185mm disc and you’re off into the hedge if you stop too quickly…

Jock is right.Go and get checked out! Knowing any potential problems in advance is the key, not just for the heart but for anything else. Get full blood tests, cholesterol, PSA (prostate), the works.
I’m pretty lucky; 8 years ago felt dodgy, missus dragged me to docs, chol level of 9.6. Now 4 ish with reasonably healthy eating, but 5 stents and a double bypass 4 years ago. Fortunately no heart attack!
I’ll say it again; Go and get checked out! THey have the heart sorted. It’s only a simple pump!

Idon’tknow how Jock got on a bike three daysafter an angioplasty. For two weeks my balls were like this:

What are they trying to prove-that they’ve posted it? They’re still liable if it goes missing.
It is nice though when you buy a bike and the seller sends a pic to reassure you that it’s well packed.

No complaints here on BT infinity. It was different before we got superfast. Had many outages and the Indian customer service was appalling over the space of two years. Each was convinced that they had the cure to our problems. Finally I managed to speak to an English call centre and they offered usan engineers visit. Within a minute the Engineer diagnosed a faulty modem (supplied by BT froma faulty batch).
We did try and move to Plusnet but twice their engineer failed to keep their appointment…

Yeah, just this week I used MyHermes to post a wheel set. About £7.50 with insurance to cover the value if I recall.

Or for £11 you could just rock up at the Post Office and send it via parcelforce.
My Hermes are cheaper but their drivers have to cut corners to make a living and don’t exactly treat your parcel with respect.
They did manage to break the screen of the missus’s new phone trying to stuff it through the letter box. If they’d just rung the bell they could have given it to her…

Phone/call into the shop and speak to the manager/owner. Tell him what has happened. Don’t get angry. Don’t blame the shop. Just tell themwhat has happened. I doubt they’ll be too impressed that their good name is being compromised. You may not get your internals back but life will probably get a little bit harder for the perpetrator.
Depending on the manager’s response, name and shame. In any (expensive)legal action it would be up to them to prove you are telling porkies.

Never mind the cam belt changes. It ain’t the cam belt that goes; it’s the tensioner or idler bearings, and they’re the pricey buggers. £2-300 for parts and a couple of hours labour.
Aside from that there’s nothing of great expense that goes wrong except rear wheelbearings. I’ve had two; an S turbo for 9 years and a GLS for 8. Both have had wheel bearings replaced, and the turbo had a Lambda sensor go at £300 odd.
Aside from filters, oil and rubber, that’s it.
They’re not big cars but the load space is high and useable.
If there’s a track, however rough, a Forester is sufficient. If there’s no track you’re better off with a Landy.
I’ve also had an outback and it wasn’t nearly as well thought out.

    Not manufacturer’s warranty.
If bought from a dealer then the car is covered by a warranty, often 6 months, whether the dealer offers it or not.
The dealer may try and flog a warranty to cover his obligations and more, gaining a small commission in the process.

Don’t buy it now; wait until the dealer’s warranty expires.
