    “I didn’t like my Lakes.

No insulation in the sole and a waterproof upper with holes for SPD plate made no sense – so they were cold and wet.”

    Really? How old were they?

Mine, summer and winter pairs, are fully sealed at the sole,  no cutting required, and the insulation is top notch, silvery and pockety, needing only thin socks.

Lake 146, if you can still get them. The importer, who weren’t much cop anyway, went tits up last year…

I’ve had mine for about ten years and they’re still going strong. Need a new set of Boas , but they’re pennies….

There are only two toys that lasted our two, a Jack Russell and a Fell Terrier, more than a few days, and they each lasted a few years;  Squikky Pig and Rubber Chicken.  Squikky pig lost his squik after a couple of years but carried on without complaint…

Each were made of the same stuff; very tough rubbery stuff.

I bought a 70000 mile citroen C3 a couple of years ago for £1200. I replaced the discs and pads for £350 and its not missed a beat since. No electrical, or any other, problems at all.

As I understand it, if you do decide to pursue this through the small claims court, the other party are not permitted to counter sue you.  IANAL, but there are some on here, who may be able to provide clarification

I have a hunch that many Vets may now be regretting selling out( because that’s what it is).

It’s a disgrace the way a pet’s welfare has been monetised to such an extent.

Or is that a figure that gets plod to take notice?

As far as I am aware, The Small claims Court is only there to hasten the payment of known amounts – Unpaid invoices etc… It is not there to decide liability for a road accident.

We find the more you reject the less nonsense you get.
I suppose they can use data to determine that you will be more/less likely to reject short life products. But are they really characterising customers in that way?”

Of course they are. They know all about your funny little ways…

    Fenix Bike Lights BT10 and BT20 (fenixtorch.co.uk)

Most of these feature height cut offs.

I’ve been using Fenix lights for about a dozen years and the quality is top class.

You’re not a fan of free speech then?

How long has this rusty stain been there? All the weeds, in fine singletrack tradition, look very healthy! it doesn’t appear to affecting them, yet…

Is the rusty looking stone the cause, or is it looking rusty because of its position?

I’m very happy with my two fenix torches, an E35 on the bars and an E28 on my helmet. About 4500 lumens combinedand less than 250gm for the two, including batteries, which last a couple of hours at least…

Not bad for less than £150 the pair…

“@suburbanreuben what’s the sizing like on the Patherella? I’m an 8 or 8.5 in most shoes so that puts me right in the middle of their 7.5-9.5 size. If they size up small then we’re good. If they size up a bit big then they might end up being a bit baggy?”

TBH, i forget. I’m a 10 1/2 and assume i bought their large (10-12_) size, which fit perfectly

If you’re feeling old at just 51  you really need to improve flexibility before you really are old. Try some yoga a couple of times a week . Try different teachers; they all have their preferences so mix it up a bit. It’ll do very little for your aerobic capacity but your joints and muscles, without bulking up, will thank you.

Panther Caps ARE Deadly and as far as I’m aware have no hallucinogenic properties. The ( red) Fly Agaric  (Amanita Muscaria) is the trippy one, and even then is safe only if prepared correctly….

The OP’s mushroom does indeed look like a Panther Cap, so is best not scoffed with a side of bacon.
