Will a terrier come back of its own accord eventually?

If you have pockets full of sausages, then yes!

My Fell Terrier will return at the first whistle. My JR won’t! She has a very, very strong hunting drive which tends to block out any distractions, including me.

Whatever car Porsche make it tends to be the best in it’s class, or pretty much up there. The Macan is a much better SUV than any other competing one, aesthetics aside, so forget it’s a Porsche for a second, it’s just a very good car. It’s beautiful ugly, which is a look I like in cars, unlike the offerings from Audi and BMW which are just grotesque – like a photo finish in a gurning contest, and the VW, as always, commits the ultimate sin of just being plain old boring. To be fair, the F-Pace looks half decent though, but is more expensive than the Macan and won’t be as good. But ultimately there is a special place in hell reserved for SUV’s – utterly pointless cars and completely the product of a questionnaire asked of a bunch of wags preserved in fake tan pumped up with botox and silicone in a shopping precinct in some Cheshire semi-rural town. I’d have a Mondeo estate and a 928 for the weekends instead.

So I suppose the Macca’s closest competetion is a ten year old Forester with comparable performance and grip, but at a tenth/twentieth of the price. 😉

In my defence, they have all been bought in a local independent outdoor shops sale at -20% RRP.

Do they have a name/website? What model shirt is that?

yep, and a proper syrup makes all the difference.

Where does a syrup fit into a Mojito?

@duir compared to shimano I’d say go up one euro size, and they are quite skinny so if you’re wise footed definitely consider the hv option

HV giros are the same width as the standard shoe. They just have more upper for chunky feet. Doesn’t really help with wide feet. Lake do a wide fitting which is properly wide, for flippers.

Lake MX145 are tough, grippy and waterproof, but not too warm. My favourite boots! THey make a colder weather version- mx303- but nowt butch for the hot summer weeks.
Mine have lasted 3 years of spring and autumn use on very abrasive sandstone and still look like new.

Lake are up there, perhaps even above, Sidi in terms of quality, but Giro are definitely second division.

There is a camp site at Graffham, just south of Midhurst, which ain’t a million miles away. There’s a great pub just up the road too.
Festival of Speed is effing fantastic! One day isn’t nearly enough to see it all, so do the three days. If he has any interest in cars at all your nipper will love it!
Last time we went we took the tractor ride up to the top,( more than once…) while Bowler Wildcats hurtled down through the mud, Formula one cars tackled the hillclimb and historic rally cars flashed past on the forest section.
Watch out for Derek Bell. He’s a chip thief!

Isn’t the cayman the sensible/informed choice of the whole range?

Apparently it would be the best car in the range if the suspension engineers were allowed to do as they wanted. Couldn’t make it too good as they wouldn’t sell any 911s…
Looks great in that blue as well.

I like the Macan – it would be on my shortlist if I had the means..

It is a very good looking car given the constraints of being a soft roader.
I’d buy one if I could find a good one for a lot less than the new price.
Are they small? They look small, and a smart, comfy, quick, small car is what I need…

I’m tempted to suggest that if they buy what they want I will go & fit it for them one weekend….

    I wish you luck!
The problem with small spaces is that you have just as many corners and fiddly bits as large spaces but not so much of the easy to lay, do it in your sleep, wide open expanses.
It is preferable to extend the floor under the appliances as you won’t get them out otherwise, so hope the kitchen fitter has left enough space under the worktop for extra flooring…

It all depends what it says on the contract, and how long your initial term is, what cancellation notice is required etc.
Depends where you are in the country but EAs are gagging for properties to sell at the moment despite the market apparently being slow.
Give them 6 weeks with 2 weeks notice, and no sale, no fee. It will keep them focused.
1% really ain’t bad. Years ago I had a mate who was an EA and he was constantly moaning about other firms only charging 1.5% !

question is.. can they sort out all the problems with alternative means of power/fuel before we run out of fossil fuels.
How many years of fossil fuel have we left, presuming we continue to diminish at the current rate?

    Hundreds of years worth.

Then, Sheikh Yamani, a Harvard-educated law graduate, went on elaborating what he really meant: “Thirty years from now there will be a huge amount of oil – and no buyers. Oil will be left in the ground,” said Sheik Yamani before going poetic to take Mr Brandreth, who by then may have been shell-shocked by the revelation, to the metaphorical zenith of his blunt prophesy: “The Stone Age came to an end, not because we had a lack of stones, and the oil age will come to an end not because we have a lack of oil.”

I’m trying to get a price from him for some more work, it seems that for a bigger job it’s only £500/day (plus materials obvs) instead of £80/hr plus travel.

Remember it’s a plumber’s day – 10 till 3, unless they get a little old lady with an “emergency”, which means 12 till 3, still at £500 a day..

I’m having the same dilemma and had settled on some ESI in either thick or extra thick until I’ve seen the Easton lock on’s are available in a thicker diameter. Anyone had any experience of those?

A good thick grip but a tad slippy in the wet…

It’s both. The owls drop pellets full of abrasive beetle wings and rodent parts and then the pigeons unleash their ammonia bombs. It’s a mess.
And the trees themselves are shedding dead needles…

You may be overthinking this one.

I may be, but my experience of rope is that cheap blue stuff that always seems to come undone whatever the knot. I’m after a step up from that but cheaper than the good stuff.

No, it’s not a bargain; it’s a fair price though.
The boards are only 1.1m long so it will look a bit busy
It’s “rustic” grade which means plenty of knots full of filler. Their picture is probably not representative of the actual floor. “Character” grade is similarly full of imperfections.

Look at the Kahrs range at http://www.flooringsupplies.co.uk/?gclid=CISF87eRzM8CFc0y0wodZmwHaQ to get a grip on prices.

What’s the hurry? While the kitchen is being done you only need a calor gas stove, a bucket and tap…
Integrated units look far better than stand alones, washing machine especially, though capacity will probably be compromised. If you have room for a deep worktop you could just have a freestanding behind a door.
If you have a separate utility room, keep the washer and drier freestanding.

Kitchens with washing machine and drier on display do look low rent.

Next time, boot it on the test drive, along with hoofing the brakes on, hill start, italian tune up etc. A test drive is a time to push the car, checking for such things IMO, and many come to light under pressure.
