Great place, can’t let it get shut down for the sake of a day or two a year of your time.

.. … ASTON HILL NEEDS YOU and it needs you urgently. As you know, the hill is run by a voluntary committee along side the Forestry Commission(FC). Sadly now, through many factors the committee is down to just 3 people. The FC are imposing stricter guidelines and we can no longer rely on the goodwill of people as we are no longer able to meet these guidelines. We need to organise ourselves and we need to do it quickly; or we face the real consequence of being shut down as a club, and the gates closing until a viable option can be found. We, of course do not want this to happen, but to prevent this we need people to step up and help out in whatever way they can. We’ll be hosting a meeting at the FC HQ (HP22 5NF) on the 15 Aug 18 at 1930hrs. We need people willing to become treasurer, secretary, responsible members, dig team , trail maintainers – we will provide all training and support, we just ask for commitment. We need all these people in order for us to become a Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC), if we don’t achieve this, we face the very real scenario of closing. This is not meant to be alarmist and its not about FC bashing or anything else, it’s just the way it is! Let’s get strength in numbers on the 15 Aug and lets plan a great future for the Hill – we need you in whatever capacity you can. Thank you. Pete W, James and Josh.

I put 2 Black Jack’s on my lads. Really good and nice and wide too. Transformed his confidence compared to the stock spesh tyres that were on it.

As stumpy says  It’s probably better to keep the mortgage as is and save up or pay it off. Most will let you overpay up to a point but you may pay off quicker saving and getting interest depending on the mortgage interests rate.

If you are up for the risk then you could invest in funds or something – share ISAs have a £20K a year limit.

You have end of line resistors which help tamper protect the circuit. Sounds like they are normally open …. Long time since I did this though.  Check out this article

This happens on my Dell lappy but only occasionally. I go into Device Manager and Disable then Enable the graphics card. Then the screen brightness buttons start working again.

If this works for you then you probably need to change the start order/dependencies on the graphics driver service.

Radisson Blue Cardiff has an underground buzz for entry car park.

You can always backup into a corner to make it harder for them too.

Had this happen to my car. It’s not bolted on but pushed onto studs, which look like rusted bolts but are fine. The fixing washers have rusted away and the heat shield has fallen past them. I pulled the old washers off (all but one which wouldn’t budge) treated the posts with some anti rust stuff. Bought some generic fixing washers from eBay and fixed it back on.

I have a Krups, it’s really easy to dial in new coffee beans. This was a right pain with a traditional expresso machine where there were so many variables it took hours to get it right. Something I would recommend you looking for in the reviews.
The hopper on mine holds a 250g bag of beans but I add enough for 3 days and keep the rest in an airtight bag in the fridge.

She had a warm up act on so you could rock up 30 mins late. Can’t remember if she came on before the interval, some venues won’t let you in part way through mind! No matter how much grief the act may dish out!
Don’t forget some money for a tea towel.

I’m in! We asked, you listened, so we have to turn up. If it’s half as good as last year’s DH and Enduro it will be great!

Have caxton and fairfx cards. Fairfx has slightly better rates but caxton doesn’t charge for cashpoint withdrawals. Also think fairfx is easier to topup.
If they go bust you lose your credit so splitting across two could limit loss.
I’ve had problems with a some tolls and pay at pump places in France not accepting fairfx (didn’t have Caxton Euro card to try) so be prepared for some things not to work.
Also handy for buying from European online bike shops.

If its a Turbo my money is on the EGR valve. It does this as its wearing out/getting dirty and may not create any fault codes.

Do we not need collisions like this logged so the authorities get a clear idea of the overall situation and maybe change policies/law quicker?
Also for the ops situation this guy may need an eye test so a call from the police may help him get there.

Never accept a counter offer. You were not valuable enough to be given a rise before you gave notice. Things won’t change so you will remain frustrated. They may get worse as you ‘dumped’ your work mates then held the boss to ransom for a pay rise. You’ve moved up the list of people who will get the boot if the company gets into trouble. If you do eventually leave they won’t have you back. You’ve accepted an offer from another company and then withdrawn it before you started, another potential future employer who won’t have you back. Not the best career move.

If they need you for a few weeks longer to help prepare them/ do a longer handover for the move then you could discuss this with your new employer. This type of discussion shouldn’t do you any harm with either company.

Edited to say – Good choice! left the above as it may help.

I had this issue and it was happening with two different rear wheels and cassettes. I knew that the cassettes and chain were not worn, chain was the right length too. It was resolved when I fitted a short cage mech, I think I was running a long before.

Pook really feel for you mate. We had this with our youngest, if its any consolation he grew out of it and is fine now. We don’t have many photos of him as a baby, people would cross the road to avoid him in the pram.

He would rub his face raw through the gloves/ socks. We made a rod for our own backs by rushing to him every time he cried as he would rub/scratch his face. We quickly got a dermatologist who put him on a cream which was 1/2 percent hydrocortisone and antisepctic/biotic as his scratches were getting infected.
He was always on piriton and if he didn’t sleep we would give him calpol.
As he got older we spotted that cows milk/cheese would make him worse so we switched to goats milk. Our regret is that we didn’t change the wife’s diet when she was breast feeding him. Anyway by the time he was one it started to get better, by about two he could eat drink anything although a cows cheese/milk fest may still bring out the odd patch. He doesn’t have any scars from the scratching even though his face was covered in scabs for 8 months.
A word of warning to everyone whose kids are on hydrocortisone – our eldest got chicken pox while this one was on the cream. So when he caught it the hydrocortisone fed the chicken pox and he got it really bad and has lots of scars all over from it. The dermotologist had not seen chicken pox so bad before. Stop using the cream as soon as chicken pox pops up in your kids contact group.
    Good luck!
Chuck me an email if you want a chat.

Edit: any urea based soaps seemed to help and the best cream we found was Eucerin. We now us Epaderm on any small patches.

I’d do most of the above but don’t make the door look secure from outside as this will attract attention. Make it hard to get in. The weakest spot is going to be the roof, I’d line the inside of the roof with ply so they couldn’t get in or see what was inside when they had a go. Use screws so you can service the roof if needed.
Finally secure the bikes so if they get in they can’t quickly leave with the bikes.

    Your £700 quid rent limit could be the most critical decider! The faster the rail line to London and closer to the major A roads the more you will pay. If the property is close to these and still cheap then it will be one of the areas that previous posters have told you to steer away from. As you don’t need to commute to London you should be able to find somewhere nice. For beautiful morning walks, environment and great country pubs then any of the rural areas west and north will easily take on anything you can find in Kent. Now after saying that I’m going to contradict myself, as follows;

I only know South Essex from my experience for mountain biking I would choose Danbury, Brentwood or Leigh-on-Sea side of Southend as there is very technical hilly stuff straight from your front door. Don’t forget the Olympic Course which will be open next year.

For an easy commute into Southend coming from the M25 towards Southend is a pretty nice run compared to trying to get there from Chelmsford. As always aiming to get into work for 7:30-8:30am is much easier than leaving it later. There are usually lots of rat runs once you get to know the place. Coming from Oxford you are probably used to the traffic.

Getting into Chelmsford is always a pain but A12 is normally clear up until you get close, approaching from the north may be worse than from the south but I only do both a few times a year.

If you want to commute to both places by train then you want to be on the Liverpool Street to Shenfield line but from talking to a mate who commutes north from time to time it’s not cheaper than using your car. If you’ve not got any parking spaces at your office then you could be in for some fun and expense!
