Sheet metal worker by trade but have an HGV license a good knowledge of vehicle and mains electrics, install and repair vehicle heating systems and vehicle refrigeration. Often tasked with problem solving or designing developing new models options whatever the customer wants I tend to have to make it happen. Not really sure what I want to do except not work for Jiffy Trucks any longer.
If you haven’t already take a look at the http://www.ncass.org.uk/ website lots of ideas and pointers and also there is a bit of a growing trend for good street food happening at the moment try http://britishstreetfood.co.uk/ organised by Richard Johnson for ideas of what seems to be on trend and remember facebook and twitter are also proving good areas for marketing. Good luck. As for turf wars I work for Jiffy Trucks and in 15 years we have not come across anything significant. The areas you seem to be looking at probably wont attract so many people of that nature. Lastly just another one to look at http://www.eat.st/
My old Kona Kilauea ended up being painted lilac on one side and orange on the other a fantastic frame that was painted superbly by Bob Jacksons Leeds looked like I had 2 different bikes depending which side I lent it up on
When going to the coast we always make sure to take in Robin Hoods Bay, the chippy opposite Wainwrights bar up the narrow street serves the best ive had always worth a visit.
When I started work I had to do the chip run on a friday and my boss when asked about salt and vinegar used to say ” drown it” which I did of course rather enthusiastically. Another friend of mine had the same task where he worked put for a lot of guys so he used one of those old lady shopping trollys on wheels and one friday he was running late, anyone knows that late f&c is just unacceptable and can be punished with a broom handle through your overalls for the rest of the day or worse. Anyway as he was running back to work with the trolly loaded he got chased and stopped by the police they thought he had just mugged some old lady.
Crikey setting speeds for roads will only lead to long queues of traffic also the wagon overtaking the wagon scenario but with cars as well on dual carriageways would only result in more congestion
Yeh we really enjoy sitting at 56 miles per hour, yes we can go quicker but why should we cos we know it annoys you. The government make the rules not us. Try sitting behind a truck for 2 hours coming on and off the throttle a sure fire way not to get your economical driving bonus. We sit on the limiter, different weights and engines and limiter settings mean we are much the same speed but there are occasions when overtaking is necessary and it can take time. Next time you are out practice what you preach and don’t overtake see how long you can go.
My contract states salary based on 38 hrs a week I have been told i’m expected to do 46 hours per week. I get an overtime rate for any hours after this but if you have not done 46 hours a week all month the extra hours you did are deducted. So if you work 56 hours in a week and decide to go home what is called “early” and only do 38 hours the following week you get nada. We are not that busy at the moment and could justify going at 4 very easily but the powers that be say we have to be there just in case. BOLLOCKS. I work 7.30 till 5.30 and 4 on a friday. Anyone need a multi skilled operative doesn’t mind working just would like a bit of give and take?
Whats wrong with trying to help your child have an enjoyable ride to remember rather than some arduous task his father made him do on the grounds of what doesnt kill you makes you stronger. I hope you can always get to the toilet when your old.

After reading through this post finding lots of similarities to where I work I think what you want to do is perfectly reasonable my entitlement is the same as you are proposing. If anyone of your staff want to leave let me know I could do with a change.
At one time spent a lot of sundays at my gradparents in Bolton we were from Bradford, Songs of bloody praise, Tinned fruit salad with evap and my Dad and Grandad used to have a can of tartan bitter each. On the way home the smell of my Dad with the Sunday trumps and saying excuse me and sorry did not make the smell go away in the Austin Maxi.
+1 for zedsdead Merak . “I know people here can be extremely supportive, despite all the day-to-day nonsense, so I guess I’m just looking for a bit of support and suggestions for how to get some life back in me…? ” just not from you eh. Nothing supportive shut up.
Appendix op at 12 Ran the 1500m at school sports day with “tummy ache” spent all night in agony parents thought I just had a “tummy ache”. Taken to docs the next morning and projectile vomited over him but with normal temperature and pulse he was not convinced but sent me to hospital just in case. Had my appendix removed the same day apparently just before it burst hence the large scar to remove it. But after all that the sickest part was having to have my just sprouting pubes shaved pre op I was gutted 12 years it had taken and all gone in a few seconds.
If youve got the $$$$ Sortimo a German company do what you are talking about. Look on brickyard and T5 forum for ideas im currently doing a fixed conversion at the moment but seen quite a few different ideas over the months of searching for the right layout. Mock up a pod unit in ply first its cheap and easy to work with use it for a bit see how you get on then if you need to change anything its not so drastic then when you have got what you want use the ply as a template to make the finished article. On a side note after the camper project may come a teardrop trailer :D
I ride to work a lot of the time so work mates began calling me Sturmey Archer that was 20+ years ago and the name just stuck. Also the first real bit of bike maintenance after fitting cow horns was to rebuild a SA 3 speed hub after jumping my bike in to the canal and all the workings in the hub went rusty.
Morning Paper round to start then at 13 worked at a snooker table manufacturers after school in the run up to Christmas got finished from there cos I did not have an NI number, then washing and riding motorbikes on a Saturday at Allan Jefferies including dicking around with the late TT legend and pie eater DJ.Once cleaned the muckiest dog kennel ever for cubs bob a job week and got 50p for my troubles.

i’m good at sex never had it and not enjoyed it. Seriously though I can blow spit bubbles, thought it was cool when I was 12 but now I think it’s just spitting really which is a filthy habit.
Heater matrix on most cars and vans is a crap job it seems to be one of those parts they fit first and everything else around it. Make sure if he replaces it you see the old one and mark it so when you see it you can tell it has definately been replaced.
+1 for Mark at megavanmats just done my T5 and he is a top guy with advice. Use the .com address the other one takes you to GT Campers who’s carpet is not as flexible even if it is cheaper.
