    Now normally I am like Hob Nob, but sadly tiny human and dark nights make a good attacking ride tricky hence the WattBike. Now at the mo empirical’s suggestion seem to fit well with me in that’s it’s simple and does not rely on an accurate FTP result. Plus I’m looking at the cost of Sufferfest/TrainerRoad etc and wondering if the money is worth it as I am never the best at stick to plans and doing set workouts etc.

    Hmm

    Lol nothing like honesty! I dont’t mind the lack of music/video as I am happy to shove my own tunes on.

    Thanks Garry that makes sense. Looks like I will be doing a 20 min FTP test tomorrow night! Do I need to take a bucket?

    Trainer road is looking like a good option. Will report back on my findings from the test.

    Lol thanks @squirrelking. I guess there is a learning curve!

    I guess my question is where am best focussing? Base fitness and therefore endurance is there and supported via swimming. During stages am I aware that fatigue is an issue and repeat sprint efforts take their toll. How can I help improve that?

    Right that’s all three rounds of the South West Series entered. Looking forward to getting back to Exmoor twice as I’m also doing the Champs Lite. 🙂

    Again lost for words. A man who always had a smile on his face, time for anyone and a loving family. It’s going to a little dimmer at 24/12 this year.

    Sadly not sure I know anyone who has a boost 29er wheelset @weeksy but good idea. What makes this worse is that I have been playing with the idea of building up a 27.5+/29 hardtail so I would have 4 bikes for the price of 2. Whats wrong with that right?

    I was expecting the same but this does appear to a quick mobile video from the guy from a named email address rather than generic email. I think your right about Customer Service changing and I think for the better. I guess also your example comes from the sh**show that is most delivery companies these days.

    Okay so I’m getting excited now. The sun is shining and the forecast set to fair. I’m not sure how I will cope…..

    I will be there trying not to be cooked alive or eaten by the course. I kinda feel sorry anyone who will be hitting trails later on down the other as the trail is going to get pretty blown.

    Well the forecast is looking promising and it looks like the trail fairies have been hard at work. Quite looking forward to a spot of camping to.

    I Imagine if it’s wet, it will be a bit of a slog

    It’s going to a glorious sunshine fest right!

    Think with practice and then racing afterwards I clocked up just over 20 miles.

    That was the same as QECP this time around. Hopefully it won’t be god knows how many times up that fireroad!

    Just watched that Vital footage and yeah Katy’s OTB looks brutal, complete with little scream. Great to see Abigale did well and came out unscathed. She is a better rider than me hands down!

    Don’t make my own but one tip I saw from TV was to cook a little bit of the mix off before stuffing to check seasoning etc esp. if you are experimenting.

    For anyone wonder (I know you all are) RM did bet Yodel, but in shock twist Yodel did arrive and the info from the app was correct. Shocking eh?

    Also PlanetX should get a honourable mention for packing my forks in a huge box!

    Oooh Yodel update. It’s out with the driver. Only 49 other people before me. 🙁

    Yeah I had been looking for a cheapish 29er fork for a little while so when I saw them grab them there and then. I will be curious as to much stiffer they are over the same spec Reba.

    @sandwicheater I have not shame in using a 28t front with a 42t outback!

    @bruneep
    yeah I’m not holding my breath!

    @OwenP yeah company for practice would be great. I’m travelling with the Wife via in the In-laws (Cadnam) but she is not racing. I will try my best with line suggestions!

    The course is looking good on intragram and with some dryer (yeah right) weather forecast it might just dry out a bit. Wishful thinking eh?

    So it’s just a little over 4 days till the series opens. Who else is racing and what are hoping to achieve?

    This is my first “proper” enduro race so it’s all about fun for me and expecting a nice mid table result if everything goes to plan. I will the guy in blue Kask helmet and the Spec Stumpy if you want to say hi.

    I remember watching some car crash tv show which included a women that got so backed up that it started to come out the other end so to speak. I kinda felt sorry for her, but also confused as to why she left it to this point to get medical help!

    Agree with nickjb and rossburton that this sounds perfect for a good independent/freelance developer. Make sure you get the source code for any work done mind.

    So without knowing what the Pi will be doing I will make the assumption that it will connected to a network. If this is the case then the simplest to create and maintain would be a web based interface running from an imbedded web server (such as say CherryPy) and some Javascript. This approach will be simple but look good (if done right) and not required anything more than a  web browser to use. Also if you need to integrate it with other stuff or automate tasks then you can also have a REST API so that scripts can talk to it for bulk commands or data upload etc.

    If your looking to go down the Aglie route it might be worth finding out which setup they are/will be going to use. If your already a Prince2 shop then Prince2_Aglie is likely to be the favourite with those that have a say in these things. That said if your from an ITIL background then some around DevOps might not be a bad shout again if you think the either the company is likely to take that path or your looking to move on and take that path elsewhere.

    If your company if looking to go Public Cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure) then a maybe something down that route might be useful to help give you a high level technical understanding that will effect how Service Management is done.

    “Apache OpenWhisk is a serverless, open source cloud platform”

    Serverless ! = Platform as a Service.

    @molgrips Yes, with a PaaS ontop. Google offer GKE which is Kubernetes as a service i.e you ask for a 4 node cluster and it builds it out for you. You just bring your workload. Given Google wrote most of Kubernetes it’s pretty robust.
