I think scandal and inbred geometry are actually the same. The 456 has slacker angles and the 456 Summer Season has very slack angles.

I've owned a Rocky Mountain Blizzard before most On One models.

I'd say the standard inbred rides the most like the Blizzard. The Scandal always felt racier. That was with either 80 or 100mm forks on it.

I am about to put my 18" Scandal on eBay btw!

Very nice. Red on grips goes with red on forks. Hoses are a little long if one is being picky.
    Would look even better muddy!

Hard to say either way. I'd see your GP. He can arrange xray or physio if needed.

Differences I can see include:- The seatstays have a neater bullet end to them. There may be a mild tapering too but will have to have a close look tomorrow. I think the chainstays look less flared with an indent to help tyre clearance instead? If this is right the whole chainsuck/jam issue that On Ones can be blighted with should be easier. The steel 456s all have straight top tubes without any issue and I prefer that look personally.

I'm told the MkII frame is made by Van Nicholas.

Not the best photos ever but here you go. The 'X' on the headtube came straight off!

    and

Welds look very tidy. Can't wait to get it built up and ridden!

Syringe oil through more than once to be sure. When you are done there should still be a little oil in the reservoir which you just top up.

You could try a 'dedicated' mud tyre like a schwable black shark?

Mudguards just look wrong to me. Another vote for waterproof shorts here.

He is in pain but hasn't seen a doctor? Start by seeing his own GP. Then he can get reassessed and get some decent painkillers.

How are the seasonal flu death rates this year? Are more people dying from that than Swine Flu?

Don't know what the seasonal flu death rate is running at but last week 31 people died of swine flu in the UK.

Try Jessops. It has to be just right which is easier said than done with a 1-2 year old.

Or a summer season? What sort of riding do you do?

Got a contourHD last week. Only one outing so far but very impressed with the quality of the camera and video captured. More discrete than the Gopro and the built in lasers are great for getting the alignment right. Once I get more footage could post something if you'd like?

Also very impressed. Delivery def better than chainreactioncycles but on a par with merlin (?). Also some good deals to be had.

I run a HTII BB on my summer season with 2 drive side spacers (should be one I think) haven't noticed any problems shifting and the extra clearance does seem to help.

It all comes down to personal preference doesn't it? I'm just 6ft and ride a medium '08 flux. I think it suits me and my riding style nicely!

Alpkit stuff seems excellent quality and value. Down is rubbish if wet though. If you are on a budget alpkit are offering their synthetic belay jacket (zerohero?) with 25% off if you join their free developer scheme.

6ft with 32inch leg and ride a 18" SS. Also have an 18" scandal but SS has shorter stem. Seem to fit me nicely.

Run 90-120mm on mine. I'm sure 100mm will be fine.

If you are after cheap mapping and just want contour mapping on your etrex then the SMC have links http://www.smc.org.uk/ContourMaps.php to good quality free contour maps of the UK based on data from space shuttle radar mapping.

My Summer Season. It is heavy (but then my other ride is a Turner Flux) but it makes the perfect 'mess around in the woods' bike. It creams down anything technical or steep with awe inspiring ease. I'm running 120 – 90mm up front but almost all the time I leave them at 120mm.

CRC have a great offer on 661 evo pads right now. I often use the evo lite versions and they are very good indeed.

Cornered a warden this morning. They are hoping to open the new red run on the first or second week of October.

Oh and the car park ticket machines appear to have been replaced by a man in an orange tabbard who accosts you when you drive in.

Large parts of it seem pretty much finished and on the whole look good. Nice fast bit between the play and family trails has no obstacles at all so presumably officially open?? Hope they get it done soon!

You are right! 1st photo was taken near the Kenn end of the bridleway that runs from Kennford to Kenn. 2nd photo is on one of the lanes that drop down to Exminster from the hills above Kenn. You must be local?
