Got my new mukluk from Bike24. None available here in my size. Was impressed by them. Some guy emailed to suggest fitting advice and then only took 24 hrs from dispatch to arrival.

    What frame!? :)

If it’s a 190 rear hub frame they will have skilfully excluded all the current fatty owners from a tempting upgrade. Doubt many people will want to payout for a new frame +/- forks if they are also obliged to buy new hubs / wheels and bottom bracket / crankset too.

You can spend loads or a little. If it’s just for smooth trails I basic one will probably do. I have one headed for the classifieds if you want first dibs? One tip I have is swap out the basic tyres for some large volume ones run at low pressure – adds a little suspension for the little one!

They are also ace for dragging the family picnic along too…

If the bosses are mangled then maybe a Dremmel and cut them flush? Or some reverse threaded removal gadget?

X plane is good. “Flight Unlimited” is also worth a look.

Carefully unscrew the hose at both brake levers and swap them over. Done carefully it is very unlikely you will need to bleed the brakes afterwards.

It’s a P7 that has wayyyy too big forks… but apparently he knows that and only uses it on the road. Yeah right

Lots of baby grows, muslins, baby wipes, nappies.

Get something to treat your other half with when the baby comes – I never really did this and wish I had. The focus is all baby baby baby once he/she arrives and some proper recognition of what mum has done is often forgotten.

Oh and those bike bits you wish for? Buy them now. Babies are amazing and wonderful but will eat up every last penny of your disposable income.

I find an Alpkit dual airlock sits nicely on the bars. Good tip I learnt is to put your bag and mat in your bivvy bag and roll them up then put in dry bag before heading out. Saves some faff and it its raining keeps the bag dryer when setting up for the night.

To answer your question – no they won’t boot you off their books.

It’s your body and you can do what you wish with it. You are perfectly entitled to make informed choices to refuse tests or treatment. Your GP won’t be worried about money just you. It’s a little disturbing that people think GPs are money motivated when actually they all go to work to do an increasingly difficult job caring for their patients.

The only catch to this is that your GP takes responsibility for the effects of your medication when he signs your prescription. Any essential monitoring tests are a reasonable expectation on his/her part as without them you may take too much / too little and so become unwell. Therefore, if you unreasonably refused even essential monitoring they would quite rightly have huge concern. It’s only about the best care for you.

You really should go and talk to your GP and sort this out. They won’t want you unhappy either.

Pretty impressed with maxxis mammoths. Great grip, roll well. Definitely an improvement on Floaters. Knobs are bigger than photo suggests btw.

Cambria Bike Outfitters worth a look too. Not so many bargains these days compared to a few years back though.

Everything everyone else has said PLUS try turning the tyre inside out (tread inside / smooth inside facing out) overnight – it seems to help give the tyre better shape to help it pop into the rim when inflating.

I’ve been running the public beta since version 1 with no problems at all.

It’s not a revolution, but it is a very good refinement of what went before.

The integration with iOS8 is excellent.

Well to add to the debate I tried my Krakau stove on a 200 size gas canister (half full) with a brupot just now. Time to boil for 500ml cold tap water indoors was 3mins 5sec. The krakau is sufficiently small that it sits directly under the pot base rather than on the bottom of the pan below the heat exchanger which may explain the difference.

When I plug my GoPro in I let iPhoto import all the video / photos. Then from iMovie I just use the “import from iPhoto” tab. May seem convoluted but it works fine.

I have one and totally love it. Agree with all the praise above. Running DT Swiss XMM 120 with 15mm bolt through and swapped the rear to the 12×145 chip set which made a noticeable difference to rear tracking and stiffness.

There are bargains to had out there too.

    Here’s mine…
