My partner van takes 2 bikes (one of which is a freaky 29er) no problem fully built up.Takes 4 plus all kit if you take wheels out of two and shove your mates in another car.

I loved my job and I have no current financial worries I just get sick of the constant greed driven world. I know we mtbers are guilty of spending on bikes, kit and stuff but my trade off is to see others learn to ride and play like kids again (male and females) i.e have fun & get fit. The way we all live could be more basic and vastly improved, don’t you think ?

1: Go ride your bike as and when you can.
2: Listen to the good folk on here (and only the good ones)
3: Dont let life get to you, as Ton says chin up.
4: Try and change things, look at what you need not what others tell you, you need.

Ok to clarify the reason for my op… I arrange rides with large groups of friends from all walks of life and differing employment .Got into a discussion as to why I arrange stuff and like to pester to get folks out riding and having fun again. I stated “I thought this whole rat race thing was shite and we need more people doing stuff for community and not selfish personal gain”. None of us go to sleep hungry, scared or thirsty and could manage with a lot less. From the look on several faces I had just become a hippy. It just made me think a bit, like you do from time to time. We need a change a big change ….

oop north…. You are showing genuine concern for this guys safety and wishing for him and others to wear a helmet so as to try and avoid/minimise any injuries. Nothing wrong with that thought and its called compassion, good on you.

Trout…. Glenn & Alien were real mileage jockeys when I started way back when and Mat was just a wee un, both real sound blokes and good riders.
Speshpaul… Still stuck with land as housing job well knackerd just after they did the DT deal. Mr C always wanted a base in dalby as he did set up the original trails there 20 years ago and he rides there alot anyway.

al… just curious but whats your thoughts on friendship between scotsmen ? Its a very serious issue in Yorkshire due to the shortage of women folk.
