All RC31 forks have them, its for injection of swiss cheese !!!
They were used for injection of bonding agent (aka glue) please do not self tap a brake mount here as the cheese may leak out 8O

They gave me a pack with copies of xrays and notes for my GP as I may need some further work/repairs subject to a check up next week and it had the names of the team who sorted me out on it. Letter sent off this morning as a big THANK YOU and it may just get them some praise from the management for a change.

Ride the trails that suit the current conditions. I thought that was what we all did anyway ? Its not rocket science to work out which trails can be ridden and in what conditons/weather. Soon be summertime only 6 months to go…….

Our normal 12ish crew was down to 6 brave souls. Into Dalby on old wifes way and then played on(old and new stuff) in the empty ? forest. The ride back into a head wind was pleasant but it stayed almost rain free and sunny. Sometimes you just need to ride……

    What shed ?
    Which large camelbak ?
    Helmets ?
    North/South which is better ?
    Superstar kit any good ?
    Should I single speed ?
    How the @uck do I get a ban ?
I think my mate may be gay ?
STW the source of all knowledge but you do need to bring a sense of humour to the party.

Ditto, me and the crew are heading out from Hole of Horcum at 18.30 tonight. Loads of options (Moors/Dalby/Newton) could be interesting weather wise but heh we just MTFU and go for it.

Rigid 26″ is the new SS niche as all the freaks (tall people) now ride 29ers. Mr Wonka said we are just lucky to be the small people 8)

Research has shown there’s a rise of head and spinal cord injuries among skiers and snowboarders on the slopes. One way to avoid such potentially traumatic injuries is to make helmets compulsory.

There you go Buzz the blue touch paper has been lit (and also runs away)

Heh Swede…. Would have loved to come but thats the only week Mrs Stumps(skier)gets off until we go again in Feb. I have had a recent change of life plan and I intend to do a month or two on the slopes shacked up with buddies I could let you know details and you would be most welcome to come over for a week. Looks like I would be based at Vallandry below les Arcs.

Mitts….? You wear what you want sunshine you are already on the cool wall in my book just for having a go at snowboarding

Buzz..ditto me to…I came from a ski background but I wouldn’t go back to skiing…But heh its all snow sport..each to their own.

Sales figures prove ?…… that lots of people learn to ski because its so easy, just take a good look on the slopes every season, full of learners, bless them. The drop in snowboard sales is simply because its difficult to learn to snowboard (first 3 days are tough). You have to stick at stuff to be cool. Its a bit like the SS world tuff and niche just how we like it

Snowboarder aged 12 & 1/2  We stand sideways. We get up early and go to sleep late. We may get mocked but we are relentless. We dream it, we make it, we break it, we fix it. We wreck ourselves day in and day out and yet we stomp that one trick or find that one line that keeps us coming back.

Snowboarders don’t hate skiers they just like to take the @iss, you know a bit of fun.

I like the bit where NO skiers will sit next to you on a chair as they expect to be wiped out when you get off ? To date I have never taken a skier out as I was taught how to get of lifts from day one. I have however had to stop/ride around or assist in untangling ski pile ups at the top of chair lifts.

I dont get pissed off, live and let live as long as everybody is having fun in the snow and heh I ride with however wants to play.

Troll me ? you must be mistaken sir….and I’m a Yorkshireman, you cannot get cooler. I dont really fit into any camp but I do like to promote a bit of fun on here. I switched to snowboarding after several years as a skier and its just way more fun IMHO :-)
Not knock man love its rife in SS world…..

As a good snowboarder told me “its simple skiers can only ski where as a(snow)boarder gets to ride” rad innit but ya know its simples 8) He also said check out the lift lines and its normally the skiers who are the stressed/pushy/up their own arse types with English skiers setting a particularly bad example

I find a loud “HOW DO” in a broad Yorkshire accent and a slightly glazed happy expression/smile gets a result when I meet other trail users these days…..

I dropped a bait box full of maggots on mums pitch pine floor (the old pine boards with slight gaps in) she went ape @hit as the little buggers wriggled down through the gaps and then told me every fly in the house that summer was from my escaped maggots 8O Oh to be a kid again……

Ditto that, every day of the school holidays was a river fishing day and we used camp out and fish for eels at night. We always put them back as we weren’t allowed to take anything that came from a river home. I do have several pictures of me and my very proud mates holding several different types of fish in that “classic hunter gather stance”

Oh dear me we lost one ? How the @uck did you muppets manage to run an SS event ? Oh I remember now it was run by Sheldons mum 8) The sooner we get you lot up north and back to pixie land for a weekend of man fun, the safer other Mtbers will become.

Canal towpaths !!!! I visited Londinium Town once and rode over a pile of cardboard on a towpath resulting in a tramp/cycle interface impact moment and some choice cockney lingo was thrown my way !!!! luckily I was wearing a helmet as he swung for me as I sped off on my dandy horse.

CTC thinks that it should be up to you to decide whether you want to wear a helmet or not, and is opposed to making it compulsory.

    All hail CTC 8)
