Done it every easter for the last 3 years with a minibus and 10 people. All based on from York to Tignes or Les Arcs. Van hire,diesel and euro tunnel works out at £150 to £170 per person for ten, i.e £1500 to £1700 total. 19 to 20 hour drive door to door. Its a good road trip but cheap it is not.

I know this is a snowboarders trip but it gives you an example to work from.

Dalby is like most trail centres….. its how hard you ride it that makes it what you want it to be. Hell I have even seen single speed duster jockies flying around there on rigids and they are well fast.

Ok ok enough torture I confess…… I have only ridden SS cycles for the last 8 years and I’m hooked I carn’t give it up yes I’m a single speed niche haw……there that feels much better. I dont have a beard or sandals but I am some what different 8O

I have had many a nice conversation with new friends, skiers & snowboarders when we end up on our arses thinking near each other and commenting “it looked do-able from the lift” . Happy days & nice people what ever we chose to do.

Arse pants….We need something to keep our bums warm and dry when we stop just out of site on a steep section for a sit down,waff & a quick splif :wink:

Skiers snow plough to allow them to then learn other skills in safety as being able to control your speed and stop is very important on a snowy incline with 5ft planks clipped to your feet/boots 8O Mean while boarders well ? they just ride……..

The Yorkshire boys are hitting the lakes early sat for a 2 day SS fest…… bring on the hills :D

Some of us like to give time to help others enjoy what we already are able to do,boarding or mtb’in. I can never get enough of seeing people click with things and watching that massive smile when they nail even the simplist things and achieve their own personnal goals.

broken rib story….me and my bro outlaw both had off’s during a trip to Scotland resulting in rib injuries. The drive home was fun until we had to try and get out of the van to get food and diesel. Looked like a pair of old geezers who had shat themselves :oops:
