Interesting reading , as we’ve just bought a house in yorkshire with an oil tank etc , first for us so happy to read this advise :)
Our tanks from 2006 when the house was built so should be ok for a few more years

    Which garmin?

AS above , Wahoo Elemnt, bolt or roam , either version , far more reliable than a garmin especially after the last update ! ….. they just work :) …
I have both garmin and wahoos and the wahoo is the choice every time

As a HGV driver in Birmingham and A38 etc , i see this all the time , the standard of driving in brum is shocking. The amount of times ive stood on the brakes cus some f***wit has decided to turn left across all the lanes or just wanted to brake test my truck … Think its just the way society is going , everyone’s in a rush and needs to be there 5 mins ago !.
Its one of the reasons we have sold our house ad heading to east Yorkshire to live for hopefully a quieter life and less hustle and bustle !
And yes about dash cam footage, most trucks/wagons have them now, our fleet has them pointing forward, one rear and then one down each side of the truck to protect us as much as the numpties on the road

Yep , currently working my notice, both of us finish end of the month with no jobs to go too! , have sold our house in Birmingham and bought a Bigger? house in a small village in Yorkshire . We’ve made some good money on our house and the small amount we still have left on our mortgage will be cleared easily and a good chunk of money will go in the bank for any work on the house and maybe a bit to live on while we look for work which wont be until after Christmas, Im a hgv driver and the wife was/is nhs so shouldn’t be too hard to find work ?
Both our jobs paid ok but with being mortgage free, all we want is maybe a few days a weeks and less stress hopefully spend time on the beach (5 miles) and a lot more biking for me.
Gonna miss the kids and grand daughter like mad, who we are leaving in Birmingham , but its only 3.5 hours away so not end of the country….
scary as shit but both just getting to 50-ish , kids left home and only the 2 of us to worry about … its shit or bust time :) ….. Good luck to all that try it

Really sorry to hear of your loss :( … In time it will get better and remember the good times ….. I lost both my parents in 2008 , only 8 weeks apart !!! …. never really finished grieving for my dad before my mom died :( … Still miss them like mad

Don’t know about Plusnet’s customer service but transferring a number with a PAC would normally be a day’s interruption of service at most.

Could you confirm what you mean when you say they turned your old number off though? If your EE mobile contract was cancelled before the porting took place it’s going to make things difficult.

What should happen is you’ll have 2 SIMs and 2 mobile numbers with the contracts running side by side until the porting date. When the port takes place the old service will end without further input from you.

Sent Pac request on friday 2nd , My original number with EE went dead on wednesday 7th afternoon , had to put new plusnet sim in etc , so got another number, I contatced them the next morning as it hadnt ported overnight and all they keep saying is , its been passed onto their operation dept to sort out why the porting hasnt gone through and all i keep getting now is , it will take another 2-5 days to get them to at least give me a porting date !! … all i keep getting is apologies and sorry we cant help you until the OPS team have sorted it , so basically im fubarbed until then …. My biggest concern is losing my original number as i use it for so much

Had a similar thing last year someone hacked my xbox /Microsoft account, they bought 2 £50 xbox live vouchers etc through paypal , only flagged up when i checked my account, paypal refused to refund saying the correct password etc had been used so they believed it was me … which it wasnt !, they had also set up a recurring £50 a month xbox live account , which i managed to cancel before they took any money, still got taken for £100 in the end , which paypal or microsoft refused to refund ?

Front centre is listed as 599mm on the small. So you can measure/compare?

Cheers Brant, measures same as my Arkose then, according to tinterweb :)

Really fancy one of these, but looking at sizes, the head tubes seem quite short in comparison to other similar frames ?… Compared to my Arkose the tempest is 30mm shorter in head tube for same size frame ?

Do the frame and forks have drillings for mudguards? If so then I’m finding my SKS Bluemels to be fine on 650 x 47 tyres.

yes mate it does … which model of Bluemels are you using ?

    Hello Geely … 🙂

    Your Volvo XC70 … that’s theirs. 😀

Geely bought london taxis international (Black Cab) in 2010 when i was there and then shut press shop and body in white down and imported shell from china from then on …. Bye bye job :(

Loving the new frameset color, just disappointed to see no extra mounts on the forks for maybe some bikepacking duties :(
