I’d be heading for the Kilbo Path which you’re basically staying on the route of. I don’t have a link for it but it’s in the Scotland – The Wid Trails Vol 2 guide book.

    Or http://www.mtbtrails.info/Trail_Venue_Map_TrailViewer.aspx?VenueNumber=15&TrailNumber=18&Unique=635430928702657422

It shows the start at Loch Muick but you can just as easily start at Glen Clova.

Just noticed you’re on a CX bike though so I guess they’re not really suitable. Not really sure on CX suitable routes. Sorry!

I must have broken at least 15 hangers in the last year. It’s just a bad design.

Tried vaious things like not putting in the bolt where it always breaks and filling the hole with JB Weld but nothing made any difference.

I finally couldn’t take it anymore and bought a new frame.

Fantastic event. Really upped their game from last year.

    Cheers for the replies.

I’ll keep an eye out for 5 spots.

The camber is a bit short on rear travel. I’ll be running a set of 150mm forks.

    Any others?

Never mind slackening the head angle. Has anyone worked out how to stop the hanger from snapping all the time? Been through 8 in 10 months.

I have one in small and I’m 5’5″.

Although its the only CX bike I’ve ever ridden it seems great. I’ve used it for everything from off road epics (great glen way in a day) to scouting the local area for new trails to 100 mile plus road rides. Bike has always been fine so far and pretty comfortable.

    I’d definitely recommend one.

Mine arrived today but I’ve no idea about the compatibility. Looks nice though.

It’ll be getting a transfer to a different bike.

    That’s where mine is breaking.

Have you gone back to a non-clutch mech or have you managed to solve the problem another way?

I had thought the first time that the chain had been too short so made sure it was definitely long enough the second time round but it made no difference.

I’ve got mine. No photos yet. Heading to Dunkeld at the weekend for its first outing.

Which direction is better to do it in? I’ll be doing it in a loop.

When i was buying my flat I signed something to allow my solicitor to sign things for me while I was offshore. It worked out ok.

It was part of the service provided by my solicitor and didn’t cost any extra.
