Do a cycle tour of the UK doing stand up as you go, see:

    http://road.cc/content/news/2430-dave-gorman-goes-pedal-powered-2009

record his gig, learn it on ipod as you ride, ride faster then dave gorman, cut hair short and grow beard,
turn up ahead of him and say you are dave gorman and you have a cyclist stalker do gig, take appearence fee and ride to next gig… they’ll never know…

we used to be the Uk distributors before they set up their own offices in the UK,
Its good software, it uses emersion techniques where you learn words for images rather then the french for ball is ballon you see a picture of a ball and then the french is spoken to you, its how you learn as a kid as you point at things and get told what it is rather then knowing what it is and the learning the different words…

but some of the same technology can be found in cheaper products:

    http://www.avanquest.com/UK/education/language-learning/french/Berlitz_French_Premier.html

the rest is down to the vocab library.

But that was a few years ago, still made me enough money to get my cotic so always have a soft spot for them, also if you do go that route, Amazon always has a very good price rather then via stores in airport or out of inflight magazines etc…

I am sitting her in exclusively howies clothing almost all of it bought in the sale, they send me nice e-mails, when I’e talked to the staff there they’ve been great. I got a £83 merino top for 22 as they listed i wrong on the website for all of 5 minutes and they still stuck by the price. There are the very expensive options but they have the providence to explain this, the ordinary Jeans whilst being 70-90 are still expensive they better made then any levi, gap or other brands I’ve owned.

Why get so upset by such a small company its not as if everyone you know outside of cycling is walking around in the stuff. Primark sell £3 t-shirts that get throw away after to washes as its disposable clothing. if you spend £20-25 on a howies one you probably keep it until it falls apart.,. which is some time in my experience.

paddy true he did have the train, he didn’t need to dope when he’s sitting on the wheel of 8 guys upto their eyes in it. But I was on the Alpe in 2004 and that was pure class, he took it to the field then when they did what they could to remove his advantages.

Lance was in the US road team in 1990 and had probably achieved more then Kimmage ever did with 2 years of that.

I think Lance is coming back purely because he is probably the most selfish person alive, its all about him, he survived cancer because he did what he could, hew studied everything about what was killing him so he could defeat it. His family life suffered because it was always about him.

I think its the same with his training, some people can push themselves beyond what others are prepared to endure. Chris Hoy is the same for track sprinting his coaches say no one is prepared to hurt that hard in training. I don’t hear many on here saying Hoy’s a doper. He beat Ullrich mainly cause he liked donuts too much and was always carrying too much weight early season, Basso was in awe of Lance as he helped so much with his mum who had cancer. Beloki was one of closest challengers but broke hip in crash that forced Lance off road. I don’t think he had an all-round challenger that could compete in mountains and TT.

DT tubeless kit is a complete @rse and i’m just lucky that i didn’t split it getting it onto 5.1 rims, and then conti 2.4 tyres I’m sure are too small to fit the rim as i practically had to use my pro pedal spanner to get them up over the edge of the rim. god know what happens if I actually get a puncture as I won’t be able to get a tube in there…

I’m loving mine, I got it in December 08/09 model, not sure which as its only paint jobs that are different as far as I was aware?

Got it for 1175 for frame, which seems like a bargain now they’re trying to get 1650!!!! for the anodized frame.

I’ve not weighed it yet as not much point as I’m the weak link here.

i bought a clubman so that it’d take a bike more easily. I tested it with a bike bag first before buying. I just drop seats and it slides in nicely, could get a couple of bags in without worry.

have just bought an yeti but haven’t had chance to ride it in anger yet, where are you getting flex seems pretty well built. As a big boned rider interested to know what problems you’ve had.

I had heard it was worth getting DT quick release axle as they can help stiffen things up

Does seem expensive as my yeti 575 was only 1175 for the frame, although many people will think its a made in taiwan piece of junk. I did like the look of the 5’s though and maxle on the rear would be good.

its amazing how much stuff has gone up since December though

You don’t catch a cold from being out in the cold, I too believe that going out in cold weather is actually beneficial and indeed when feeling poorly with a cold some exercise can be a good thing.

There have been many studies that say you body takes what it needs and, so over dosing on vit c and others isn’t really going to do much to help, same principle as Detox fads your body can get rid of the stuff it doesn’t need and no amount of cranberry juice is going to make any difference.

    In no particular order:

1.) Relive the rides you used to do when a kid, I’d love to go back to Epping Forest and do the ride I used to do when I was younger and got my first mountain bike.
2.) Black Mountains – Day long fun
    3.) Dartmoor – eastern edges
4.) Lake District – high street
    5.) Isle of Skye

Won’t the shedfire bikes just be an inbred or 456 with a different sticker especially if they’re shipping in May,
Sounds like they’re just diverting the container to CRC, Silverfish, Madison, Wiggle etc… whoever picks up the distribution for them to sticker up (first batch anyway)

Or are these genuinely new frame designs? otherwise I can’t see the excitement unless there is a price war?

CRC – world’s largest online bike store, going to selling back into the USA?
Brant – trawling the states getting business and schmoozing US press.

I used mini dry stone wall, dug all the stone out of garden to make the beds in first place, but only raised about 10 inches, should last many many years hopefully.

D90 has DX sensor (APS-C 23.5mm x 15.7mm), D700 has full frame (35mm, 36mmx24mm) the pixel count is similar but the D700 is a much larger sensor, i’d imagine you’d get less noise and better clarity from the larger sensor
