have a look on http://www.moneysavingexpert.com for 2 for 1 vouchers, you can get them all over the place, we took my son last year 2 years 3 months and he loved it, he couldn’t go on all the rides, but still had a great fun and talks about it now. There was an offer on walkers at the time so handed a few vouchers out at the time so big group of teenagers got in half price which made their day.

Looking at the models was great and they had a monster truck event outside in a field off the car park which was very good for small boys obsessed with toy cars.

Lego driving school and train was good fun and also the show at lunchtime around the lagoon was worth sitting there for.

Zeebrugge to Alps is only 8 hrs, you leave the ferry at approx 8am makes this 4pm a couple of runs before the lifts shut and straight out for some beer.

Only other way you’d beat this, would be to drive down for 11pm-1am ferrries from dover to france and then its still 7 or 8 hours and 3am drive to alps would be fun and quiet I’d want another person to do some of the driving as you’d be 13-15 hours straight with only 1-2 hour rest on ferry.

You can say its manly but I regularly do south coast and back in a day and its a mugs game. Manchester to Alps straight we only give you very little savings and a high probability of b@llsing it up as tied and on wrong side of road = hospital, but airlift home is quicker though.

Loads of places do hull ferry on the cheap when buying the accommodation with them, its not the cheapest but is the easiest option and gives you the most relaxing time. But if you’re only going for 3 days then its unlikely you’ll get much of a saving

Just booked a weeks holiday to germany and got hull ferry, family outside cabin for £180, fuel to dover and back is going to be £60-80 so your half way there and sitting in bar beats trying to get around M25, past birmingham etc… ferry would have been £50 via Dover Calais, but I’m an Hour past Manchester and couldn’t be @rsed with the drive south.

have a look on P&0 for gites, chalets and see if you can get a deal on the ferry.

From Manchester its much better to get ferry from Hull to Zebrugge, 7pm ferry gets in 8am then its 7-8 hr drive you be there in the afternoon whilst the lifts are still open,

and no hassle with traffic during day, if you can get past leeds on the 62 OK you can probably leave after work and make ferry on a friday.

Old people can’t hear very well and they don’t really hear bells either, they get scared as they couldn’t hear you approach and then even passing the other side of a double track at low speed can give them a fright…

They’ll believe the world isn’t what it used too be and young whippersnappers are going to fast, they’ll get back to car / coach and finish the sudoku in the Daily Mail / Telegraph then proceed to drive at 40 mph through every 30 mph camera on the way home and claim its a conspiracy if they get a ticket.

This was my experience at the weekend.

i found my dt 5.1 with tubeless strips to be a complete pain in the @rse and the other wheels I have mavic x3.1 rims and Crossmax SX to be easy as falling off a very small kerb

I’d only get dedicated tubeless rims now, i wanted to try stans flow rims on hope hoops new for this year but the crossmax 08 model were cheaper and hopefully stronger

Really sorry to hear about your loss, but how noisy was your hub if this alerted you, rather then 5 guys folding in your garage door?

Shed Shackle / ground anchor and motorbike chain / lock should slow them down a bit once inside.
Also these are a good idea: Light + Camera

you’ve tried very hard to make grimaced faces and wonky camera angles look like they’re ridding anything but a flat double track path. Still looks like fun though

It looks like the suspension would be butterly smooth, and I think some things like the inverted bottom bracket shell and linkage braces are pretty rare maybe even EXCLUSIVE to Chumba.

I bet it’d be perfect for my usual 20 mile loop full of jumps and drops.

MPs probably can justify their basic, but I can’t see the fact that we need to help them acquire assets from the public purse. They don’t need to buy a 2nd house (shouldn’t this be some sort of benefit in kind?) why can’t they get a capped £100 a night hotel / food allowance, they’d all get a good rate from major hotel chain so it’d be just another procurement issue. Its our money after all, they should put it back into the economy by keeping people in jobs within the hotel / guest house industry, not buying houses for themselves.

Or ride somewhere like the garburn pass and then a ride around ambleside, nice cafe in between, quick look around biketreks. Pub to finish.

Much better day out, routes are well trodden so no sheep track in the mist type navigating. The choice of a decent lunch (if you want one), not sure if Grizedale visitor centre is still being finished, but you’re limited for choice there and whinlatter is worse.

I’ve never heard of or seen a 60 mph limit, it must have been a 50mph.

National speed limit for single carriage road is 60 mph, the white circle with black line signifies this

Swelling is usually a sign of injury or infection. Swelling causes a lack of oxygen to local tissues which creates cellular damage. And can increase the time for injury such as a sprain or muscle damage to repair itself.

Ice decreases swelling and bleeding by causing a constriction of blood vessels thereby, minimizing the damage. Although this can be counter productive if used longer then 20 minutes an hour for a max of 24 hrs as slowed blood supply due to cold can slow healing.

Pain is relieved directly by its effect on pain receptors and indirectly by a decrease in swelling.

So all round minimising swelling is a good thing.

i edited signature to read “sent from my phone” as I want people to understand it’ll be short and sweet, I don’t need to advertise its an iPhone, problem is my old windows mobile was more useful in many ways as easy to add a voice memo reply (great in the car) and they have no cut and paste so I can’t copy things easily and send them on to people.

My wife has this set up on her Dawes when we go touring, we did have a rear rack break at the weld, when touring around Ireland. It didn’t go into the spokes but we rode on it for 2 days before we were able to Zip tie it in place and its still going strong. The rack was lightweight Aluminium Karrimor one, I’d go for a steel Tubus rack now as that could be fixed out in the wilds.

CRC take money if something is out of stock, I tried to order a pair of shimano boots, they were out of stock due soon, I placed order thinking that I’d be charged when they were shipped, 3 days later no update nothing, so I cancelled order they promised immediate refund by paypal, pay pal still holding onto my money, So haven’t credited my bank account.

It’d have been better if CRC handn’t charged me straight away, but its the banks paypal that are slowing down getting my money back

I also went into Merlin cycles today to get something showing as in stock on their website. It turns out they didn’t have it, but they might be able to get it. Tis a shame that their system wasn’t upto date. The owners shiny Aston Martin sitting outside with 007 personalised plate, seems IT systems isn’t where they spend the money either. But they did recommend somewhere else locally that would stock the item.

All companies have problems its not the fact something goes wrong its the way they handle it when it does that matters…
