stufieldFree Membermajority are older not new model and almost all of the new models are shop or marketing photos, not action shots, i just wanted some opinions rather than a lesson in searching the internet.
Seems the purpose of this forum is to discuss these sorts of things?
stufieldFree Memberno massive search engines up my end, evans say discontinued, wheelbase never seen one in there…
thought i could get opinions from this forum as its to do with riding bikes and full of potential ridesrs of the bike I’m interested in, rather then searching inter web thingy for random other websites on the hope there is a non stock photo of a seamingly rare bike.stufieldFree MemberUse bootcamp -t’was easy, used to sell parallels for a living and although its a good idea in principle, my macbook pro 2.8 4gb ram struggles, boot camp surprisingly fast, only issue i have is i only use windows about once or twice a week, and every time it seems I have to do another 16 critical window security updates and restart again and again. But that wouldn’t be such a problem if you used it more frequently.
stufieldFree MemberBroke mine back in 2001 with dislocated foot physio told me to use slightly flat football and plenty of bare foot walks on beach to help with rotation strength up and down etc… I remember being told to jump up and down as this kind of impact helped with marrow or something to strengthen join?
I had a couple of screws removed as they use to hurt under the skin but plate and 8 screws still in there, no probs here.
I did first ever bungy jump in November with approval of consultant, broke it in April. So take it easy and you should be back to full use without complications, maybe in time to get some decent rides in during the summer.
I ran flats for a while, but now use Time Atacs as they offered more float without having to increase / increase cleat tension. As did find slight pain in the same knee since accident but since moving to Atac’s no real problems.
stufieldFree MemberI bought a new Alfa 147 in 2003 other models are more reliable, but my 2.0 lusso 147 had 3 engines in 60k miles mainly due to fact alfa uk replaced timing belts at 75k intervals rather then 30 that mainland europe suggest, they treated failures as waranty jobs, so in the 18 months I had it it was off the road for 3 months whilst they waited for engines or parts to be shipped. The alfa (fiat) dealer dealer was the worst part of whole experience.
MPG wasn\t too bad what I expected 33 ish but after problems meant in bearly got above 27 which is pretty horrendous.
Its a world away from the reliability of a civic. Lokks nice is pleasent to be in and a part of me still looks at alfa’s and wants one, but my management band alfa’s from company scheme after mine. And even privately she who must be obeyed wouldn’t ever allow.
stufieldFree Memberdefo “Pen Y fan” I was brought up in Essex and NE London, persuaded dad to take me to wales for 16th, went mountain biking for first time on what i’d call a mountain (epping forest b4 this). Also walked routes up it too there are harder routes, up it but got to top huffing and puffing to find some grandparents and 3 year old in jelly sandals so its possibly easier from other directions.
But take bike too as there is great biking to be had
stufieldFree Memberspeeding isn’t like shoplifting,
shoplifiting causes someone else problems, speed limits are there to try and limit speed incase of a crash, but you should fine those that cause accidents etc… as someone’s been affected by your speed.
If I drive at 85 for 4 hours to get from south coast to lakes, and don’t hit anyone, cause anyone to swerve etc… what problems have I caused.
Laws are there to stop people from causing harm to each other.
stufieldFree MemberNorth Face Tadpole 23 nice and roomy packs very small and not that heavy

I'd say he was glad he was wearing a helmet…?
stufieldFree Memberi'm going to give it a go, currently 6' and 240 lbs some
looking forward to a 3 week challengestufieldFree MemberAll i know is I ride for a bit drink and bit of water, I feel great.
If I ride a lot and stop to enjoy the view, a few jelly babies and some water I also feel great
I always feel better if the sun is shining.
Some energy drinks make we want to vomit, coke rots my teeth.
I also enjoy a jammy dodger on the sofa watching telly after a long ride and sweating a little covered in mud.
I've come last in every event I've ever entered. I have no interest in getting 1.7% more power output due to wearing pink lycra.
But riding my bike makes me feel great…
stufieldFree Memberwe're so arrogant that we didn't even enter until 1950 as of course we're the best we invented the game!
one of the following teams have been in every final
Italy / Argentina / Germany / Brazil
Only 3 countries outside this group have actual ever won the cup
Uruguay – twice
England
FranceThese were all host countries for the event apart from 1 win for Uruguay.
Were not in their league, Qtrs maybe semi final was the best we could have got away with.
Best chance is to put everything into 2018 and hope for home advantage
stufieldFree Member2nd Heskey comments
capello – right lads were 2 goals down, there's 20 mins left, we need someone to stick a few goals in and get us back in the game,
Crouch (40 games, 21 goals for england) – right boss i'll go warm up
capello – sit where you are lanky, emile get warming up
heskey – (62 games, 7 goals) what's a goal boss?stufieldFree MemberThe holes are already filled can't seem to find these as replacement parts anywhere?
stufieldFree MemberThanks for all the advice, i don't mind drops, I'm going to be using old dawes tourer for now.
I have panniers on order, I've tried fitting mudguards but can't seem to get the to stop rubbing…?Hopefully the rain falling tonight won't be setting in for the rest of summer but knowing my luck it will.
Looking forward to being a whole lot fitter.
First week of it starting monday.
stufieldFree MemberProof is different to truth, if i said it is true that all swans are white, you might believe me, but if you travelled to NZ and saw a black swan you might bring one back to PROVE black swans exists, being able to show that white and black swans both exits doesn't mean you are true if you say swans are only black or white… surely you did this when you were 11?
stufieldFree MemberPlease count me in, foolishly signed up for a 24hr race solo, need to lose 4 stone!
stufieldFree MemberDid you aim at the right hand lane on the A38 or did you move across onto him in the left?
stufieldFree MemberI have a cooper clubman d perfect space for a bike bag behind front seats. fast enough for a diesel and great fun down lanes
stufieldFree MemberPJM sorry but your not correct, Brits have won the F1 title in back to back years before in the 60's
Hill, Clark, Sturtees, Clark (1962-65)
Hill, Stewart (1968-1969)
stufieldFree Member15 years ago I was at the top of Helvellen in the snow easter weekend and a woman came over striding edge shouldering her bike, put it down at the cairn and got out a packet of fags to celebrate her achievment
I'd say you can do it if you really want but there are nicer rides for the effort.
stufieldFree MemberI fell out with my dad when I was 13 he left and spilt up my family, I couldn't understand why he did it, we hardly spoke after that.
Got to my 16th birthday and selfishly asked him to take me to wales for the weekend as living in essex as a supposed mountain biker, I'd never actually seen a fell / mountain / hill. It was the first time we'd spent much time together in 3 years we had a great time camping walking and mountain biking and I got my dad back, we spent the next 2 years going for many walks and rides we'd just been to the lakes for a week for my 18th when Dad help take all my stuff down to university we had a few beers he left and was killed 2 days later in a car crash.
I regret that I was a shit for the times we didn't speak, and am grateful of the times we did have. I'm now 34 and have a 3 year old son myself I'd hate now to think there'd ever be a time when we wouldn't be friends. I think disputes can wreck lives, they're usually not worth it on reflection and the passing of time, don't let pride get in the way of knowing your son / dad.
And yes mike and the mechanics has made me cry, but so has N Dubz but I'm a bit soft.
stufieldFree MemberI got made redundant at the end of june, I'm still looking but hopeful of something next month?
keep looking, writing to companies directly can work, freelance is good money but not particularly reliable
unless you can land big fish type contract. Best of luck and get out on your bike as you may never have this much free time again.stufieldFree MemberI did it in 13 1/2 days, weighed 17 stone, did about 5 hours a day longest day 7 hours = 105 miles. had a dawes audax bike and kept everything light!
tis easy to roll along at 15 mph enjoying the views and then spend afternoon / evening in distilleries etc… I started in the north and road home towards lands end (lived in plymouth at the time). recommended way round and easier on fitness levels as you get better the longer you ride. Cornwall is HARDER then scotlandstufieldFree MemberParis – Le Grand, its not the cheapest, but they upgraded us from cheapest room to corner suite which should have been £1500 a night because the got our booking mixed up, my wife was very impressed as she still things I treated her!
stufieldFree MemberCost no option – lovely build kit then 3 frames to play with
Yeti 575
Ibis Mojo
FoesstufieldFree MemberI think Jake and Elwood had the right idea: I hate fukcin Nazis
stufieldFree MemberSoobalias – I so miss my rottie, she had bad legs so we had to put her down, softest dog in the world…
stufieldFree Memberit takes 4 years for points to come off your license, so your mates 6 points from 2006 have possibly another 12 months to go. He’s obviously not learning as seems to be getting caught regularly for speeding you’re going to be treated more harshly then someone with no points that crashed albeit with disastrous consequences.
I did write to my MP about the Rhyl case, he promised to talk to the Transport Minister, never heard anything after that.
Still think you mate deserved it.
stufieldFree MemberVaseline or MAL all over, when I did LeJog worked a treat upto 100 miles a day for 14 days and not even a pimple, the last day I forgot, I’ll never do that again.

In future perhaps it should be a following rather then a group ride, I’m starting from here and riding to here, if you chose to follow me that’s your own ride?
stufieldFree MemberNorth Face Tadpole 23, its great little tent doesn’t weigh much, packs down small and has a lot of space when up. The DL version has less mesh and is redesigned for the UK market. I take a trailer when bikepacking so although there are probably lighter tents, for the money its perfect.
stufieldFree MemberThanks everyone for a great ride, sorry I held you all up, I had a great time, although a bit knackered! Plan to get out on the road bike so a bit faster at the next one! Looking forward to the piccies and videos
stufieldFree Memberwell i’ll be going slowly at the back, possibly walking if too steep / scary, enjoying the sunshine and trying to keep an eye on where everyone else is heading towards.
