Spoke to the Yeti rep at wheelbase’s demo day and he said they were due any minute which was a couple of weeks ago, so worth looking around for an SB95 if you can stretch that far.

I went for a trek rumblefish as tried the camber comp carbon, loved it but £3000 and no 15mm fork seems a bit cheap and the rumblefish felt more solid on the downs and really I couldn’t stretch to the carbon framed Camber.

You seem to have more budget so look at

    Transition Bandit
    Orange Gyro
    Intense Tracer
    Yeti SB95

dogs are only aggressive because they are taught to be or are constantly being beaten, any breed can attack and be vicious. It people that believe a dog has the ability to do harm its in its nature, this isn’t true these are not lions and one day they will eat their owner if given the chance.

rotties make great family dogs, and with kind owners are very loyal friendly breeds. dogs will take on personality of the owner, if they’re a tool so the dog will be. don’t descend into daily mail stereotypes about evil dogs.

report him from, i had a rottie all my life if you can’t control your dog / any dog, you shouldn’t be allowed to keep it. at the very least should be muzzled

i’d consider it as important to riding as rear suspension and normally most FS frames are about £500 – £1000 more than the hard tail equivalent – so that’s just the same as spending £500 on a £350 rear shock

I certainly thought I could go from FS to 29er HT + Reverb

i use bar mounted tops got track where i’ve been and iPhone memory maps app as a yes i’m sure i’m in the right spot for when fell side routes disappear into the long grass.

However good the tech, just worry about battery draining etc… besides i like to read a map part of the enjoyment for me, if that doesn’t sound wierd

I had a yeti 575 which i sold to buy a 29er, tried to hang onto it and thought about buying specialised camber 29 cause it would fit, but just preferred trek rumblefish so have bought another reverb for that as its 31.6 mm so selling the 30.9mm one.

Also if he gets a false sense of security from ti does this mean his frame is about to fail?

I think CRC are great, ordered a reverb post it came quickly, it was the wrong size in the correct packaging not their fault, phoned them they checked stocked as soon as I’d e-mail them a pdf of postage receipt they dispatched replacement and refunded me all my postage.

Personal call to check everything was ok. have been using them for many many years, always faultless

I have some of the biggest, well stocked LBS in the country on my door step, but if they don’t have it I normally have to wait a week to get things in, CRC will always get things to my door quicker than that even with issues.

They may not be perfect but their not that bad, just relax a little.

I commute 67 miles to salford on a regular basis and get 65 mpg in a golf blue motion diesel 1.6
that’s doing 70mph on motorway for 50 miles, 10 miles of country lanes and the rest stop start through traffic to the centre of manchester / salford.

EV / Hybrids only really work on the city stop start leg that’s where the benefit is, but for the costs etc… they’re not significantly beneficial in costs etc…

I’ve tried to think of all options and have even approached company to pay for electric charge point in the car park, they can benefit from good CSR, but its just not worth it at the moment as the tech isn’t there. Although I do feel it does need people to buy these vehicles to advance the tech.

I test rode epic carbon comp was fab, but wanted bolt through forks so went for a rumble fish.
rocky mountain element looks a good spec though and the Norcos get good reviews and have FSR rear end.

VW blue motion golf – 65 mpg easily without having to think about trying to be frugal
Mini diesel clubman claimed – 72 mpg never got above 58 without driving like a saint
Mitsubishi electric car – 92 mile range – dealer got squeaky bum time when I did 40 miles on a test drive

Electric’s not there yet stuck with VW diesels there fantastic 67 miles each way to work so I’ve tried every decent combo

well please don’t speak too loudly about it as was put off by a dealer saying it wasn’t available in their demo so have bought a rumblefish as they made me think it was vapourware and still in prototype. And I really think it looks fab.

did joggle in 2000 stayed in YHA / SYHA for best prices
training consisted of plymouth to lee mill everyday for work as fast as I could, then back over the moors on the way home. most i’d ever ridden was exeter 1 way went I set off, did 1000 in 13 days, had a couple of 1/2 days to make more of holiday. but could have gone further each day, just stopped where the accommodation was booked.

Just treat it like a work day on the road before 9am stop at 5pm have plenty of stops and you only need to do 13-14 mph average.

Have a duality bought for gf now wife 15 years ago, you do have to remember to turn it for slightly less time after each go, but does great toast.

we eat a lot of toast in the family and just can’t stand ones with magnetic release as it was always this bit that broke on cheaper toasters
