    ??

It’s not exactly a hard diet to follow??

This is the problem when people get something for free, the actual value to them seems to be zero!

    I was talking to molgrips.

My view is that you can’t half arse these things. You are doing it or you aren’t. The amount of times you hear the same old “i tried xxxxx diet, it didn’t work” or “I’ve tried all the diets, they don’t work”. The reality is that they pretty much all do work. It is the people that fail, not the diet plan.

I’m going to give your plan a go Dave, mainly as I have used similar plans before that I have found effective at losing fat whilst managing hunger and energy levels pretty well.
What I won’t do is cheat every day and still claim to be “on the diet”.

Frankly I’m surprised you managed to hold off eating them long enough to post a thread about it.

2 days on the diet, 2 days failed.
My prediction, you’ll be fully off the wagon by the end of the month.

If you like John Singleton try Four Brothers as well.

Nate Dogg started his career in a group with Snoop Dogg (213), Snoop Dogg was in the John Singleton movie “Baby Boy” alongside Tyrese Gibson, who appeared on the movie poster sitting on a lowrider bicycle.
And via this tenuous link it is about bikes and therefore in the correct forum.

That Peru kit is nice, what colour is the sash? Wasn’t there a team in the Champions league with a shirt a lot like that?

Legoman, Kia is an unfortunate and relatively recent addition. Still love the overall colour scheme.

CX bikes use road wheels, so no advantage in dealing with potholes, unless you run fatter tyres. But to be honest if it’s primary function is a road commute then the first thing you’ll do is put skinny road tyres on it.

FWIW I think the new Boardman CX looks pretty sweet. Front and rear discs, rack and mudguard mounts. If I hadn’t just bought a Genesis road bike for my commute a short while ago I’d be seriously looking at the boardman.

It’s all part of the great CRC Raceface bearing swindle. This is how they make £8m profit. The bastards.
It’s probably in stock at your LBS, at a reasonable price too I’ll wager. :P

    Anyway, it’s all wiggles fault.

Btw, heres a photo of your thread:

I reckon I lose 20+psi a week in my roadie tyres. Normally inflate to 110psi. Check them beginning of each week (for commuting) or before a proper ride.
These are new butyl tubes with no patches.

have you considered eating bombay mix on the sofa?

    That’s an unconventional training methodology.

For all those wanting the plan why not use the site search.. or maybe someone’s got a link to the original thread.

I have, all you get is a load of references to the diet in peoples’ posts and not the original thread.

I’ve got a medium cage SLX mech, as that is what I already had. And a 9sp 11-34 cassette, so I’ve still got an easy climbing gear.
Chain is adjusted to the length round the chainring and big sprocket plus 2 links. Seems to have pretty good tension.

There are a million and one threads on 1×10 and 1×9. Consensus seems to be that you will need some form of chain retention on the front, ranging from an old front mech, through jumpstop and bashguard, to full DH style chain device, depending on how bumpy it is.

I’ve gone with an unramped 32t chainring and an ethirteen 1x upper chain guide.

On my old commuter I used an old front mech and a ramped chainring and never lost the chain, however this was road use, not sure I’d trust it offroad.

I simply crave carbs, preferably in liquid form. It’s easier to deal with than hunger tho like I say.

Last time I was on a really low carb diet I had this. I used to have a supply of pepsi max and sugarfree chewing gum on hand to deal with pangs. Seemed to work ok, but mostly you just need to MTFU and the cravings pass.

    Since yesterday.

Done ok, only a few little bits of banned stuff like a dollop of milk foam on my espresso.

So you cheated. After one day. Good luck, you’re gonna need it.

To quote a wise man from the internet, from back when I used to be into bodybuilding.

Nobody ever got fat from eating too many apples

Anyway, can I get a copy of the idave diet to the email in my profile? I’m really curious as to what it’s all about, plus am dieting for my wedding so may give it a bash.

I reckon you’d be a Medium in the Phantom. (I have a large and am a little shorter and a little broader than you)

It’s an ace jacket, been warm enough all winter, with appropriate layering, and will do well into spring becausue of the removable sleeves. It has relegated my Endura Stealth to the cupboard.
No experience of the other two but I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Phantom.

Me Ma and Da got a memory foam mattress a while back, they are total converts.
Memory foam plus hard, thin pillow is meant to be good for the back isn’t it?

I’ve ridden SPDS for as long as I can remember but since buying an Orange Blood, I’ve been using flats with varying success.

I posted a thread a few days back asking about pin heights on flats, can I ask here, what do people find works best, same length all over, or higher or shorter at front/back/sides?..

    Sorry for the hijack!

FWIW I use wellgo MG1s with the standard pins, and AM40 shoes. I find them to be plenty grippy enough.
However, I am no lord of Gnar.

10/10 for rant. It so perfectly combines shoddy spelling, grammar and sentence structure with errant capitalisation, all whilst delivering almost no information whatsoever.

It’s almost too perfect. I call shenanigans.

Near where my parents live Ford are operating a parts distribution centre with the largest single story warehouse in Europe (at least it used to be, it’s f’ing big I know that), with hand picking and packing.
Given the scale of that operation and the fact that the automotive industry is highly automated in other areas, the fact that they haven’t automated it suggests to me that it is either not commercially or not operationally viable and that it is highly unlikely that CRC are going to be doing away with their local staff any time soon.
