Owned one now for about three months.

So far I’ve had a 2.2 spez purgatory and currently a 2.3 spez slaughter on the back. Plenty of clearance below the seatstay bridge and ok clearance either side.

Bottom bracket – no problems with mine. Seem to recall the shop saying you needed to follow the niner instructions to the letter, but neither mine or the others they have built have had any problems.

Generally a very nice bike to ride – i was a little confused looking at the sizing of a medium compared to medium rallon and stumpjumper of previous but medium fits me well at 5’9″.

Its now my preferred bike for most my riding.

Bachebrothers, lye, Stourbridge have a silver model built up – think it’s a medium.

Another recomendation for the guys at Bache Brothers Stourbridge here. Always good customer service and good range of demo bikes from orbea, niner, Kong, and Cotic. Think they may have a Kong Process 153 demo too if you’re looking for bikes of that ilk. My own Rallon was bought from there after a demo ride.

Arley footbridge up to button oak and then Bewdley to shatterford on the road that goes past Trimpley reservoir – that little loop itself could be done once you’ve done sheepwalks and will put you back over kinver way.

Otherwise just head to the back of Bewdley towards rock and take your pick from a choice of steep stuff such as winniats, horse hill, noahs ark etc

I hope I can hit 70 odd mph when I head up there in a few weeks

If you message them via the clent hills NT page and provide an e-mail it sounds as though they will add you to a mailing list with a pdf of plans.

Went up yesterday. Due to time and failing fitness just and up and down of Llanberis Path. One patch of snow to the side of the path but not on the path and patches of snow still sitting on the banks of the railway cutting that was all.

I’m running a normal Qr skewer. The drop outs are closed so even with the Qr you have to unthread the nut. It’s just a bit of a pain to ‘spring’ open the forks and get the disk in the caliper as by springing open the forks it moves the caliper slightly off line. Luckily though mines tubeless and it fits in the car with the front wheel on. It’s certainly not a deal breaker but less convenient than the bolt thrus of most modern forks.

I have had an escapade now for coming up to 12 months. First bike of its type that I’ve owned. Set up with sram shifters, sram x9 mtb mech with clutch and 1 x 10 gearing. Good amounts of clearance although I’m just running 32 cross tyres. The Qr bolt through set up and horizontal rear drop outs are alive bit of a pain but that’s the only real negative. Otherwise a very comfortable bike and most my rides end up being 50/50 on and off road.

I’ve not used them for wheel builds but agree that the customer service I received on a slight issue with a kcnc cassette was very good.

That was irony this time…still need to work on it i’m guessing.

I know where abouts I’d head on the local patch, but no, not in this weather…

Probably bump (or already have) into you with my local scene too…

I’d rather be out riding singlespeedstu – I’m guessing that may be a common statement on here from people out of there depth in the banter lol

Anyway, just feel strongly about this but had my say now.

The irony of this is that I think somewhere down the line we probably have mutual aquantnacies, I was only speaking to one speedy singlespeeder earlier today and I know you one geared folks are a pretty tight knit community…

Thats quite a clever copy paste and amend there – kudos.

Signed up for the free digital issues that’s all – no other accounts, got no need for them.

Don’t have any issue with Mic or any one local. Don’t even need to hide behind a forum name if you like – Stu Cutler, there you go.

The sarcasm was obviously lost in translation – yes the riding round this way will probably remain unaffected as the riders that ride this area know when and where to ride.

Just don’t think publicising the whole issue is neccessary.

Innocuous? Asking for routes to try and generate further letters – unfortunatley I fear some people on here would be so stupid as to actually carry out such a pathetic and damaging act.

    Good night all.

    Wow, seen it all now.

Someone wants routes of this area, which is quite a sensitive area for riding due to various landowners, to further try and annoy the landowner.

Thanks for starting the desctruction of my local riding scene.
