Black respro stuff has been on my commuter, used all year and left outside since 06, no peeling at all.

Sorry, damping oil is separate on fox

Fox 7wt is Torco RSF Medium.

I have read of folk using sae 80 gear oil instead of float fluid. I just used the fork oil as its definitely better than dry foam rings.

stuartanicholson, heavier oil will mess up the damping.

I prefer High Rollers to Nevegals, better in the wet, no more draggy, super tackys last longer than stick-es, sidewalls don’t tear as easily, fewer punctures.

A 2.35 Nevegal is as fat as a 2.5 high roller.

I lived north of Aberdeen for years (near the meikle partans funnily enough), horrible place, windswept, barren treeless boredom.

mboy, they get louder as time goes on, quieten down again when you regrease. No stupid pawls or tiny springs to lose when you do take them to bits. Agree about the rrp, crazy!

Having had pro II, bulbs and a nukeproof, i wish they still made bulbs.

Nukeproof freehub body seems even more cheeselike than a pro II, Rode 10 days of whistler bike park and a hammer was needed to get the cassette off, and filing burrs to get one back on.

Nukeproof makes a similar horrid din to a pro II.

    DT440 are a bit quieter.

Changing the transmission isn’t going to make you faster or braver.

Getting the suspension right is well worth doing.

Maybe blow some cash on a skills training day, Dirtschool gets my vote.

Having said all that, i’ve put new Saint transmission on my Glory just because i could. I’m still crap.

Take them to bits, clean and reassemble, you may get a bit more life out of them.

    Can’t make it any worse.

As others have said, Auris is rubbish.

Poor seats. Center console hits your left knee all the time, understeers, stupid lights come on telling you to change up, ugly ++

Windscreen pillar is pretty annoyingly large on a Corsa, massively underpowered too.

Old fiestas are great fun in corners. Takes 2 blokes, bikes and kit just!

In Glasgow we get recycling bins for each block, you can put plastic bottles, cans and paper in it. Bottle recycling is about 500m away. It’s always full.

Every time i’ve entrusted my bike to those morons they have lost it. Waiting for 8 days of a 3 week holiday in New Zealand really made me angry.

Check the inlet filter on the hose at the botton of the tank, mine got blocked after filling it from a manky outside tap.

First to offer payment that day and emails gets the goods from me.

    >then the **** sends the payment to you and makes you pay charges.

If i was accepting a paypal payment, i wouldn’t expect the payer to send it as a gift waiving any possibility of a dispute. Is that what you mean Lanesra?

I would usually email a seller to tell them i had got the item.

You will probably be fine as long as you pack properly.

I could ride one handed immediately. 4 weeks for two hands taking it very easy, OK by 8 weeks. Do your exercises to build your muscles back up.

If i had a bike with a rack and panniers, and 30 miles each day, i would use the panniers.

Messenger bags are great for short runs, or if you are getting stuff in and out of the bag all the time.

I don’t think that’s too bad to be honest. I’d just put up with it.

£170 on two days with Dirtschool made far more difference to my riding than any of the far more expensive bike upgrades i have purchased.

My deores on the commuter have not been affected whatsoever. I will concede my commute sn’t the most gruelling test of brakes.

    Cold things generally shrink.
