Does anyone know what size of bolt is necessary for the fork eyelets in a 2016-17 arkose 4? I’m trying to fit my mudguards and none of my massive bolt collection fits. I’m suspecting a bizarre imperial size or odd thread pitch.

    Induction. Better control, easier cleaning.

If worm fishing is allowed it’s probably the easiest way to catch a trout for a novice.

I had a demo ride of an sb95. It was awful, it handled like a supertanker. I’ve never disliked a bike as much.

A billhook or machete make pretty short work of most plants. I like to put the trail clearing hours in in late spring, it seems to be most effective then. Sometimes a wee trim is needed mid summer.

I’ve used tyre boots many times. Assorted spare bolts have saved a long walk or a spoiled day when caliper bolts have fallen off, cleat bolts lost, seat clamps have stripped threads etc. Brake pads have been handy when one disintegrated. Gear cables have snapped and been replaced. Tubeless repair kit, tube and patches are sometimes all necessary in one ride. I have used 3 spare spokes on a ride before.

Round the reservoir is my preference. It’s more scenic.

The prong thingy is the same in my weldtite kit, decathlon kit (50p cheaper) and sahmurai sword bar plug kit (don’t buy one you’ll break it first crash).

I’ve never had a problem getting the rubber stringy thing through the various prongs. Even the slightly fatter eBay versions which are long enough to cut into 4 bits.

Rema make nice feather edge patches intended for cars and motorcycles. They are good for home internal repairs.

I have a swb kombi. For that amount of bikes with front wheel off I put them in lengthwise top and tailed and put some luggage between them. Strap round the lot. It doesn’t? move about when making progress and costs nothing.

As bikes get longer it’s getting tight for closing the door.

I have a 175mm fall line post in my xl slash. The posts collar is around 1cm above the seat clamp.

I’m one of the other two riders.

We had the pleasure of meeting this berk twice.

Initially loads of shouting about bikes wrecking trails and such. Appparently walking doesn’t cause any erosion at all and three unleashed dogs never bother the breeding geese or toads.

Next time he was still very grumpy and made wire threats again. We took photos of him and told him to cheer up.

thebikingsquirrel, if you want a pic of him email me, swap yahoo to hotmail.

A decent sized machete is the business for gorse. A few swipes will expose the thick woody parts and then it’s easy to cut them too.
If your machete is sharp it will cut branches too. And just about anything else.

I tend to take pictures of my work just in case I get pulled on the way home.

Move house if asking them nicely doesn’t work. Getting into disputes won’t help. It certainly won’t help you sell your house.

For me the only limit to patching is the hole being too big to successfully patch. Rema sell patches in boxes of 100, and decathlon have big tubes of vulcanising goo for less than a quid.

    Waste is bad.

No availability of the fancy models in xl until june is the biggest downside I can see.

Flashing tape is a cheap way to do some sound deadening. It made a big difference doing both doors on my mx5.

Actually, just sell your boring car and buy an mx5!

I’d just get a new rim. Six years and thousands of miles you said.

I gave up on carbon rims as I just break them.

Nobeer, he didn’t say the house had to still be there. Castlemilk house was demolished in 1969. The stables are still there.

I had a six grand carbon santa cruz. I hated it. It was too short, too steep, the threads holding the pivot failed and failure of the bearing seats was a worry but didn’t happen. I was constantly put off by the fear of breaking it.

Eventually I sold it at a massive loss and got a sensible aluminium bike which I much prefer despite being 1/3 the price and about six pounds heavier.

I got my t5 at 52k. Now on 165k. Driven gently, never loaded, never short journeys.

    It’s needed
    Gear cables reattached twice.
    Two sets of brake discs.
    A radiator.
    An intercooler.
    A turbo.
    Shocks front and rear.
    A clutch and dmf.
    Two sets of tyres.
    Tailgate lock.
    Door locks
    A battery.
    Multiple drop links etc

    It’s a money pit.

You broke it, a discounted replacement would be a good result.

If it was light bicycle you would have paid postage and customs charge and handling fee and had to sort a rebuild out.

I’m really liking bf1 so far.

    The campaign is good.

Multiplayer is great. I like tanks being fairly hard to destroy. Maybe this will change once assault players open up all the weapons. Tanks were not intimidating enough on bf4.

I have died a huge amount!

A TRc is nothing like a 4x. I had both. Doubt a 5010 is anything like it either.

Wish I kept mine but its hunger for bearing and axle kits was ridiculous.

Far too tight in the thighs. For xc whippet types only imo.
