I changed from a 26 HT to a FS purely because of my knackered lower back.

I was worried at first about the “energy sapping” and pedal bob related issues that FS can have but have found that my Turner Flux is excellent and doesn’t suffer from said problems.

I briefly rode an Anthem & Trance before the Turner. For me they didnt even come close to the Turner. In fact I like the Flux that much that im buying the longer travel Turner 5 spot this week for more knarlier stuff

My friends young son was getting out of the car when he spotted a couple of ladies wearing burkhas & dressed top to toe in black.

The lad shouted at the top of his voice “Mam look….ninja’s”

Sorry bud, I’m 260 mile away and there’s a fair few powdercoaters locally so have never needed to look further

I’m going to get the Flux done.

Lad I know does it. He done a hardtail a bit back in disco black metallic which looks well.

I’m fancying Yellow front triangle with metallic snowflake and clear powder coated raw rear end.

White with snowflake or finer blue tint metal flake would look well Renton

Unless you’re REALLY pissed, have the reading skills of a 8 month old, or speak outer Mongolian, two of those can’t be TLA’s (no matter what the bunch ‘across the pond’ think) because they aren’t acronyms. They’re called initialisms.
    The Americanisms:
Power up/down (sorry? Oh, you mean turn on/off!)
    Touch base
    Rowing in the same direction
    Moving forward
Onboard (get onboard, being onboard, etc.)
    Telecon
    etc. etc.
You want to speak American? Does us all a favour then and eff off over there to do

Correct. Never post with ale on board !

Anyways I’m off back to Mongolia to read my Peter & Jane Ladybird books.

Three quarters all through winter here, needs to be below -5 before I wear longs. I just don’t like having my legs fully covered.

    +1

What are these mystical longs you all talk about?

“I need to touch base with blah blah” – means I haven’t got a clue so ill ask someone who knows what he’s doing.

“Rolled throughput yield” – wtf is that?

“We’ll have to wing it” – er no mate, I know what I’M doing. Don’t drag me into it!

“Make hay while it shines” – means I expect you to work & not have a social life

    Any three lettered business acronyms:

    TPM
    TQS
    JIT

Any bullshit methodology / practices which are just common sense:

    6 sigma

Remind me never to go on a ride with you fussy buggers!

    Exactly :D

Too much hassle, too much etiquette.

Group rides invariably lead to hassle. I’m lucky to have three sons who I ride try to keep up with.
Much more enjoyable with the family !

I got a couple of ex MOD ones off eBay for peanuts.
Can’t remember the sellers name off hand but he had loads of them a bit back

Spent half a day riding at Kielder & Newcastleton today. 1 hour into the ride and I literally rip the arse right off my Humvee’s when moving back over the saddle.

It’s not a good look on the trail, a fellow biker approaching from behind being greeted by a pair of budgie smugglers and a flapping rag that was once a pair of Endura shorts.

This incident alone is justification for a dropper post.

It is completely dead however the hosepipe still works round the back !

Nothing but a couple of portaloo’s I’m afraid. Wouldn’t know about the food van as I only ride Ae midweek

I have 2 sets of rubbers. One for the 591’s (holes cut out for 9 bolts) and 1 set uncut when 591’s aren’t fitted.

Still whistles like a mofo regardless of whether the rubber strips are fitted or not. The bars on their own with uncut rubbers are silent. I’ve had them up to silly speeds with no noise & very little change in mpg

Wingbars on a mk5 golf with three 591’s on.

Anything over 45mph and it whistles badly.

    Your wife may be corrupted.

Have you tried a wife sniffer to see what’s entering the house?

Too much crosstalk can corrupt your wife. Do you know the password to gain entry to the wife’s box?

If you do you should be able to change the channel number your wife is transmitting on.

    or maybe not.

4 months before I rode again after my testicle was damaged due to trauma on the operating table.

Never seen what happened, just felt it. Followed by 192 tablets in 10 days and a nutsack the size of a large orange.

The morale of the story is always plan worst case. I’d imagine you’ll be fine, their is probably 50 successful ops to every bad one. Probably

You get what you pay for.

Five Tens are super grippy and reasonably light.

They get that much grip on my platforms that I can’t twist my foot from side to side whilst their planted to the pedal.

Guinea Pig – The Devils Experiment.

If you like gore this should suffice.

A work colleague loaned me this film which spanned over 4 discs I think.
Got 20 minutes into the first one then knocked it off.

and they figured that out about 30 years ago, but couldn’t get the tyres.

I find that amazing that “they” whoever they were couldn’t develop or fund the construction a larger carcass building drum and curing mold for a larger bike tyre. Wow

We have had on occasion private individuals with their own molds approaching us to build small production runs. I find it utterly unbelievable that this couldnt have been done 30 years ago. The fundamental construction process is very much the same as it was back then.

I’ll wager he’s regretting his actions this day. Playing the braggard upon our forums and thusly exposing himself as an imbecile. He also owns a selection of motorised cycles of the type favoured by homosexuals. I summise that on several occasions he is likely to have singed his posterior on his bedchamber ceiling light whilst fornicating with his repulsively-countenanced spouse, due to her obvious adiposity.

    actual tears

The 007’s are a bit chunky for my skinny wrists.

Agreed. My SKX013 gets more wrist time due to this. In fact its my main watch and is rarely off, especially since moving to an oyster bracelet.

Harold (yobokies) is a nice guy, hooked me up with solid end links for my SKX diver a bit back.

Nice watch & nice movement. Similar to 7S26 with improved power reserve.

    I have the SKX007 & SKX013 with Nato / Zulu / Rubber & W.Jean Super Oyster 2 bracelets. I absolutely love Seiko divers watches !

i’m sure you’ll love your new watch
