Once slipped and sunk a Stanley knife all the way into my palm. Quick wash out then glued with loctite cyanoacrylate. Held up fine!

30mg daily of Lansoprazole here for life.

Mam and Dad on Omeprazole / Lansoprazole so it was pretty much a given for me.

Rab Exodus is worth a look or anything with a double weave stitch.

Granted its not as windproof as say Primaloft but it has better ventilation.

I bike and fell walk in mine and its fine however it can get a bit chilly if hanging around on exposed summits if you’ve only a single layer underneath.

For what its worth I found Montane rather short in the body. The arms on rhe Rab are long whichbis a good thing whenntour stretched out over a bike.

    Welcome to Cumbria !

In between Carlisle & Cockermouth is Wigton. May be an option as I’d imagine the house prices to be cheaper than Cockermouth.

    Yes

Built a mac pro clone 3 years ago and its still going strong and is my main workhorse. Still a very fast and stable machine for what I do.

    I7-875k
    16 gig ram
    Gigabyte H55m board
    4 x 1TB drives
    Geforce GTX-285
    Firewire Audiophile sound

I’ve ran it on Snow Leopard, Lion and Mountain Lion but have reverted back to SL as I like it the best.

Its not hard to do provided you read up plenty before you buy your components. Back when I done it Gigabyte was the Motherboard of choice. Rumour has it that Gigabyte manufactured boards for apple back then.

Owned 3 Epsons over the years (budget ones ) and they were all unreliable. The D120 seemed to go through ink like it was going out of fashion.

Moved to a Brother printer now & couldn’t be happier. Very good ink costs.

Why post this on here? No medic worth his salt is going to tell you what to do other than the advise above!

I wasnt after a diagnosis or treatment I was merely curious if others had the same symptoms after a strenuous ride Tom.

In the hope that a bunch of people were going to say “yeah I get that all the time its nothing” and the fact im shitting myself Tom :?

Slight grapple with 2011/2012 performace ORC roro’s & rara’s on Arch EX but not that bad.

The UST Conti RQ’s that replaced them this week were a different story though

An ex colleague and good friend once told me a tale of an apprentice gripped in fear on top of a dockyard crane in Newcastle.

From memory, Eric had took the boy up with him to inspect the boom tip. He told the boy to keep looking at the dock gates as they progressed forwards but due to the gain in elevation they could see further down as they reached the bit they needed to inspect.

Eric turns to the boy who is now white as a sheet and asks him id he’s ok. No response.

The boy is clinging to the railing with a kung-fu deathgrip. 3 fitters tried to release his hands to no avail. Next thing the doctors on his way up and the boys jabbed and brought down unconscious in a cage from a neighbouring crane.

Afterwards the boy said it was further drop that was visible beyond the dock gates that done it.

He didnt work on cranes anymore after that.

Is that not classed as an eye migraine or something? Either way not pleasant.

The most recent episode gave me a pounding headache afterwards for 3 days. And that was catching the start of it on time with the Migraleave tablets !

I get mtb related migraines which start with a white out then loss of vision, vomiting & a headache from hell if I dont get enough electrolyte into me whilst riding.

Also if im overheating a migraine will come on usually 10-30 mins post ride. I carry a spare bottle of water just to tip over my bonce to cool down.

    Works for me.

Yes the Meindl’s are heavy. Scarpa Vortex / Salomon XA ultra 2’s for me when its fine.

I’ve worn heavy hiking safety boots at work for the past 22 years so dont notice the weight that much tbh.

Folk do seem to rate them Berghaus boots though. Good shout.

rutland cycling seem to be trying to make inroads on the walking scene therfore have some good deals. Im with the other posters on here in that your pushing it on price vs quality.

I wear Meindl burmah pro’s which I find are excellent and more suited to wet northern fells than a full gtx fabric upper.

Rutland have Meindl Bernina 2’s for £114 down from £200 which are a decent boot but as mentioned before, boot fitting is a highly personal thing. I’d never buy a boot off somebody else’s recommendation.

Dont bother with Karrimor they are shit.

    Buy cheap buy twice.

Really terrible whistle with x3 591’s on a mk5 Golf. Anything over 30mph and it whistles. Badly.

I bought the new Thule wingbars to go with the carriers which are actually excellent. Uber quiet and return good mpg however thats thrown out the window when the Pro-rides are on.

Does the music player not scan for alternative music locations?

Create a folder called music on your sd card and see if the player reads it.

I rooted my S3 a couple of weeks ago and it was easy enough. You need to be on windows to run ODIN though although I used a VM on osx.

You need a root for the specific baseband of your phone. Go to settings / About Device and you will see something like I9300XXEMB5.

Google for a root specific to your baseband. I think your handset HAS to be a factory unlocked unit as well.

Dont forget to enable USB debugging in settings/developer options

    Capiche ?

Bit gutted when I first read about the deal considering ive just dropped nearly £400 on a custom set, but in hindsight it was the right move. New 40t hub, better spokes, custom graphics and handbuilt by a guy who’s good at what he does.

Still a bloody good deal though for those that got them !

Not going to risk it, i have a fair amount of Native Instruments music software programs along with Ableton and they tend to spit the dummy if i do anything unusual, I’m leaving well alone.

My sentiments exactly. ML played havoc with Logic Pro & Ableton on my mac. Very stable back on 10.6.8

    Exactly

2S2P holder with protection circuit module and 4 genuine Panasonic 3400mah battieries.

Decent Pila charger or intellicore i4 etc.

Gives you a quality pack that you can remove the batteries from and charge properly

Put it this way, when I was over 14st I ran SID XX world cups on a HT then my Flux and they seemed plenty stiff to me. Im now running Reba 120’s on my Flux and cant distinguish any difference in stiffness.

Sids do have powerbulges in them post 2009 iirc

If my XX World Cups were 120mm I would never have went to reba.
