Yep, I believe the guys involved in organising it have packed up. This includes the summer and winter xc series as well. Someone else has taken over and set up winter xc events as far as I know. G8 events or something, they are always advertising on timber Facebook page.

The league on Netflix is very easy watching, and amusing, well for me any way

We call a lad at work Zulu. For that fact he is so slow and an hour behind everyone else.

I have chromoplastics on my 80s Columbia roadie, leave them on all year round for commuting and weekend riding, run 35mm tyres which is very tight on clearance, no good for mud that big but fine for water.

I’m in the same boat with my 12 alu version. I have gone down the strip route, as I robbed the drive train and brakes for another bike.

Another RAF man here, aircraft techie mechanical.
Can’t decide whether I like it anymore, stuck in a rut, not bothered by the promotion aspect. Can’t see the benefit of a couple of k a year more for all the extra grief. At the minute I’m a top level producer pulling in just under 30k and I have a fairly easy work life.
Enjoy the actual work and the lads I work with, but constant cuts and time away is wearing a little thin.
On the flip side I went sailing on the Solent last week for free, and have 74 days leave to enjoy this year

The brand new British lightweight ones are pants. I never wear mine out on the line and use my old pattern one still,

We do Wallington, next one down from kings Lynn to kings x quite regular, fine to get a seat here. Hour and half trip though, fine if you want to get some work done on the way in.
Know a few people that do that commute every day, some hate it, some get on with it and see the cheaper cost of living worth the long commute

Someone broke into a mates workshop years ago, high value cars in there, tens of thousands worth of tools and gear. All they took was a 3lb ball pein hammer, and 2 scythes.

Changed a stem, and went out for a ride, bit of wobble from headset area, stripped it all back down, couldn’t find anything wrong, putting it back together I realised the top of the stem and the top of the fork steerer were flush. How I didn’t notice first time round God knows, added a spacer, and tried to forget about my stupidity

I drive everywhere flat out. I’m actually on my 3rd ban from driving, so unlicensed, no insurance, car isn’t even mine. All the authorities will do is give me another ban on top of this one……..

    None of that is true.
I actually drive quite sedately most of the time, and only get 20mpg while doing it. Jag XJR. But know that when the mood takes, which it does occasionally, I can play with saxos and have my fun

Depends on where abouts in the world you are, but I have an 02 skoda fabia estate, been used as a biking mobile so plenty of scuffs on roof lining, 4 brand new tyres and mot til Feb, yours for the huge sum of 300 finest sterling

Jags doing 21mpg over the last 1200 miles and that’s been short drive to work, a trip to the lakes and some hooning about. I’m happy with that. Only live once, not a bad car for a 25yo

Glow plug light will be a pass with advise. Seatbelt warning light possibly be the same, I believe airbag lights and abs lights are the fails at the minute.

Was talking about this today, my mate wants to go 1×10 and asked what I run. I have 32 front with 11-36 and I live in east Anglia, and in reality I have never span out, unless its a road section downhill. Who really spins out 32 11? I struggle to believe anyone is doing it on a regular basis. The 32 is ideal for climbing, even in wales. But I rarely spin out. People who say they do all the time…..bollocks

No idea but I do know that when I’m running a tornado I can get through 70kg per minute at times. Raises a little smirk from the 12 year old me when I’m at the throttles

Standard giant sxc2 on front hope with stans on rear, as cup and cone hubs and my terrible maint schedule don’t agree. Don’t notice as the bike and wheels are normally so filthy you can’t see the decals

Not a job as such, but some family friends live in Snowdonia, we go visit for a month at a time. She is retired, he is semi retired working for forestry commission. And to earn our keep I help out on the logging harvest. They have a deal that any fallen tree can be taken for firewood. So driving about on the old field Marshall with a trailer and a saw, dragging wood out to get the barn stocked up for the winter. Take my bike never ride it, as I’m too busy wood collecting. Hard graft, but best holiday I have
