I could never sell the Colombia ton. It’s was handed down by someone very dear who sadly passed on last year.
I like the looks of that spesh.

My fatty trail, with blutos, reverb, mud huggers front and back, set up ghetto toooobless using camping mat filer and floaters, and Jones loop h bars, tipped the scales at 16kg. She’s a bit of a heffer

5′ 10″ here riding a medium. 125mm dropper, that I could move down only an inch before it sits on the collar, run a 35mm stem with Jones loops, perfect fit for me.

Edit: and that’s a fatty trail, I’d go small if I were you.

Chapeau, it’s a killer that place, whoever says Norfolk doesn’t have hills is wrong, it’s a great place to train, and there are so so many variations to ride. I’ve probably 6 or 7 5 mile loops I do now. All around 500ft of elevation in a lap.

I ride there at least 4 times a week normally as I only live 3 miles away, but after today I’m going to avoid it for a while, sick of the place now.
Yeah that last section was a killer, especially on the ss. Coming over the root into the open before the final bombhole I was nearly at a standstill the last few laps.

How did we all get on, I managed 9 laps, and 5hrs 15, couldn’t face that tenth, when we left I was 21St. Awaiting results to see. Didn’t seem to be many on course in the last hour. Bloody tough going.
First 3 laps went well, got off the bike after the 5th for a rest and mu back went into spasms, found the best position was actually on the bike so ground some more out.
Utterly buggered, glad the wife was there with her motivational speeches.
Was it you stumpy that shouted singletrack Stu? Didn’t see any one with guards.

You’ll be fine, I’ve a bald xr2 up front and a race sport out back. It’s a strange place in that some corners have loads of grip, others really don’t. Managed to rope the wife into manning the sausage rolls/pork pies for 6 hours.

Yeah, I’m racing it. Been doing a few practice laps the past few weeks and it’s a good course, 517ft of climbing on the lap.
Rode it yesterday and it was greasy, no puddles but very slippy, we’ve had a downpour last night and more due around 1500. But it will dry out quick on track.
Good luck to all, I’ll be on the singlespeed, carbon forked Halfords carrera.

I’ll probably be dead before they get them flying regular.
I could sleep through the U2 take offs in Cyprus no bother, so the f35 doesn’t scare me.

It’s a weird one, I live near marham and don’t notice it, but I worked there. And have spent years around aircraft so have learnt to zone it out. But I can imagine it will be just fine, I worked at Benson that had merlins and pumas at the time and they were quiet. Apaches don’t make much noise at all, relatively.

There is an Escort Cosworth in my local Ford dealers showroom (along with a Focus RS, American Mustang and a Lotus Carlton), £58k!

A Sierra rs500 went for £125k the other week, that’s 2 I know of that have broken the £100k barrier

My anthem was pretty noisy on gravel and stones when going quick, as they flicked up and hit the down tube.
But my 02 patriot was by far the noisiest thing in the world, first time I rode it I had something hitting my leg, I realised it was the chain slapping around (no clutch mech) and rubbing my leg, I ended up routing the brake hose outside the swing arm and wrapping it in foam to stop the noise. I used to work with jet engines, and I maintain that bike did more damage to my ears, than rb199s ever did.

Resurrecting this to moan I’ve had the exact same problem, cassette is still all good and no problems thought I’d whip it off and give it a greasing, seems I’m too slow, so it will stay on till its properly goosed now. Sodding thing

Our 09 mondeo should have been done at 125k, had it booked in and garage rang to say the cam tensioner bolt was seized and they couldn’t/wouldn’t get it out, and the half cambelt method wasn’t possible. Rang ford dealer who said to not try taking it in to them. So playing the cambelt roulette game at 136k now, with a clutch and fly wheel also on their way out.
Bit of a catch 22 situation.

I’ve had 2, one bought in person, and one mail order, both transactions completely uneventful. They have a very good workshop, that’s got a 6 week waiting list last time I was in

Became pretty bloody good at working with horrendous hangovers with my time in the RAF.
Setting alarms when getting in, realising you’ve only got 2 hours before its breakfast time and another 12 hour shift is horrible. Big greasy breakfast, bucket of strong tea. Keep busy for a few hours, loads of water, nap. Then plan that evenings drinking in the afternoon. And repeat for 4 months. Needed a break after that one particular trip away.

Lots of people find STV confusing
Yes. Stupid people. A large % of the population is stupid.

Well, I certainly feel pretty stupid, rushed to the polling station after work, running late. And bashed an x in the box, didn’t read the ballot sheet, and completely forgot about the STV on these elections.
makes me wonder just how many others have done this?? as it wasn’t mentioned by the people giving out the sheets and ticking off names.

If it’s fitted, it’ll be tested. Strictly speaking it’s not needed so shouldn’t be failed. But some testers will see the smashed glass as a hazard. I would remove all the glass and the unit. Not fitted can’t be tested.

My village is famous round these parts for its geese. Sodding things are a nightmare, always in the road and quite mouthy too, around breeding time. They simply will not let you past, even a gentle nudge with the car won’t get em to move.

So do I. Is knowledge / memory a skill, exactly? Dunno if that counts.

I can recite the alphabet backwards, and pronounce it as a single word. I can also recite it in QWERTY order.
I weirdly learnt it backward before the correct way, and can still recite it quicker backwards rather than forwards.

I’ve just bought a mini bomber, awaiting delivery. It’s a big out lay, £400 including fork up mounts. But I see after buying bars for a couple of cars (I change them often) it will pay for itself. Took me 2 years and 3 cars to eventually press the buy button

Serious question on helmets: Having bashed my head numerous times while doing DIY in the attic or under the house I wonder why nobody has invented a close-fitting, non-sweaty head protector that isn’t designed for falling bricks but will give protection to the scalp from nails, low beams and house stuff and protect Mrs Gti’s ears from my curses. It would need to be affordable, light, attractive not naff and possibly foldable to go in a pocket.
