My advice would be don’t, get a car and spend another year with him working on it and saving for the insurance for that

I’ve recently got into smithing as a hobby, bikes have definitely taken a back seat this past year.
Any who states that anything on FinF in crude, really should have a go. In a year of learning I can knock out some nice fire pokers and hooks, but way off knives and even layered steel.
Great hobby, and as with bikes can spend as much or as little as you like.

I’ve timberlands going on 8 years old, Clarks Lord Montacute, William lennon rufflander steelies for work, some alt berg sneekers, and some rogue raggies. And all are great. And all worn daily. Don’t wear much other than boots. My advice is, don’t cheap out, look after them and try on a few pairs.

I’m a huge fan of the knipex stuff, started with the cobras that get a kicking, then the plier wrench. I’ve a few pairs, far better than a traditional adjustable as it doesn’t work loose and become baggy, because as you put pressure on the jaws close. So no usual adjustable rounding of heads.

And their cutters are the best I’ve ever used, keep an edge for a lifetime.

My wife’s an archaeologist, I went to work one day with her for a bit of fun. Fun it is not, she tasked me with digging out a 6ftx6ft area 2ft deep, no problems…..or so I thought, heavy clay and wet. It took an hour of me huffing and puffing, felt proud as punch when I’d finished and went to find her to see what’s next, she’d done 2 this size whilst I’d done one, and was onto the recording phase moaning I’d taken so long and it would have been better if she had just done it on her own as I’d not taken enough out of the ditch.

Don’t know how she does it day in day out, great to have for the garden though

my God that website is awful, how can anyone lease a car from her?? It can’t be price, as I thought I’d check my current deal against hers, and her prices are quite a bit higher

Looks good, and if it holds that’s the test. I taught myself 6 months ago, playing at work and watching you tube. I’ve learnt that pretty isn’t always a sign of a good weld. Constantly learning new tricks. Check out chuckee2009 on you tube.

+1 for e45, I work outside a lot as a mechanical fitter, should wear gloves but often don’t. Hands are filthy most of the time and this cold has got to em, I’ve tried loads of barrier creams but they make my hands dry. E45 in the morning before work and again after a shower at night, and it works a treat for me

I used to work RAF Merlins and did a couple of trips to Bastion with them, always amazed me when they came back and the crewman would say “think we took some hits” quick look round to find the holes, open the panels up to find the destruction inside.

Lot of respects for the crews flying round into hot areas, knowing there was a huge chance they would be hit day after day.

Never easy to fix em either.

<span style=”color: #444444; font-size: 16px; background-color: #eeeeee;”>Can you prove the mud came from his tractor activity (mud is often thrown onto the road by a vehicle running onto the verge to avoid a vehicle coming the other way) – it’s a quiet time of year for farmers so not a lot of tractor movement.</span>

You don’t live in a sugar beet producing area then, roads are at there filthiest and busiest with beet vehicles.

I’ve recently got the boardman, fitted 35c marathon plus tyres on and I’ve stuck guards on, feels as comfy to ride as my old defy. Happy at speed on the flat smooth roads, and great on the muddy bridleways. Can’t comment on the whyte though.

Was tough, my first time up there. In a quad. Did the start and 2 laps, then out again at 1900 for 2 more, totally bonked on the second lap of that stint and became incredibly cold, and had to get a lift down with the med van. Learnt a lot!
A team member did 4 till 7 day and night, burnt 1200 calories doing 2 laps early on. Then 1200 cals doing one lap at 4am.
Well done to Marshalls, med teams especially, the kids banging out laps for fun! Just wow. And the solo guys….. I’m totally in awe.
    I’ll be back though!

Teng 1/2 3/8 and 1/4 sockets here. Can’t rate them highly enough and mine get proper abuse, I love the matt finish which can be a huge time saver.

One point to note is Halfords advanced stuff is also very good, I’ve a set of the combi ratchet spanners, which on an almost daily basis has a 5ft scaffolding pipe slid over the 17mm, with me giving it the beans and it keeps on trucking.

Any one that has been around RAF tornados, I’m sure would have seen “dave yelles is a big jobby” scrawled behind components.
No idea where that comes from, but seen it once or twice

It can be done by eye, used to do it when printing. Was very interesting to learn how to build any colour with just a few Base colours and tints. A proper vehicle painter should be able to knock some up no problem

In that case, I’d be checking the wire on the wiper motor, make sure it’s all intact with a good connection. And earth’s.

2 Welsh Jacobs lamb shoulders, all cooked, rested and carved. My mother bought us a whole lamb, cut into joints and vacuum bagged up.

I used to work with a chap who’s party trick was to neck a bottle of wine in one hit, one Christmas do he got to 5 on the trot before the boss stopped him. He spent the rest of the night with him face in his dinner. Felt ok the next morning after a fry up. The guy is an animal

Stay in Leeds and get on the trains, £22ph I’ve seen for rolling stock technicians, if you’re fully qualified (NVQ lv3) you should be fine getting on them.

Serious answer, do you know anyone that does juice plus (I know I know). I used to work with someone that started it a few years back, and within 3 months jacked in real work, and now bringing in 6 figures. All through spamming social media and a few Skype calls. She actually prides herself on telling everyone how much time she is at home with her kids, being a mother. Seems to work out really well for her

I’ll be the first to mention Chris Hawkins then, at 0500 till 0700, listen to him on the drive in for an hour and I think it’s the best show on the radio.
Then again he’s up against Vanessa feltz in radio 2.

Friday lunch, 2 pot noodles, 2 bags of scampi fries and a big “share” size caramel galaxy. Followed by a nap on the sofa before the wife comes home with the chippy tea. She still thinks I just have a sandwich.

Mycota foot powder, sprinkle it on your feet, then the socks then a little in the boots, can be messy, and is actually a foot treatment but I’ve found it makes boots smell fresh as a daisy after a few applications

Vilnius, Lithuania. Beautiful place, we did 2 nights hotel and flights £110 for 2. Not as cheap as it was now it’s on the euro. But still very cheap. Museums are plentiful, highly recommended the ex kgb prison for a look.

Me and a biking pal, heading to the peaks one Saturday from Norfolk. Heading up the a17 and there were some cones blown into the road from road works. I pulled up while pal jumped out to relocate them, one overtook nearly knocking pal over. And one bloke actually forced his way up the inside!!!! 10seconds max he saved nearly wiping someone out.
