Probably the same sort of person that gave my 78 year old neighbour a load of grief in the supermarket yesterday for being there.
“The rules state you should be at home”

And before any gives it big licks that I should be doing his shopping for him, stop and think.

Work gave me a ulephone ip68, tough bugger. Only have whatapp on it and a malfunction form app and that’s about as much as it can handle, call quality is dire and the camera is useless. Have to take my Nokia with me to take snaps.
Working as an agricultural fitter, crawling over machines with 2 phones in my pocket. One a “tough” phone. One a phone. The Nokia is holding up just fine, no case. The ulephone is just a lump of heavy useless rubber.

This; much more use than going to Uni and coming out with a degree in media studies, or archaeology, (what’s the first thing you ask someone with an archaeology degree? Can I have fries with that?).
Not too far off the truth, it’s pretty much what a friend of mine did, there just aren’t any jobs in archaeology.

Interesting, my wife’s a commercial archaeologist with a degree, when she first left uni over half her course went straight into commercial companies, a fair few doing masters many onto teaching history.

And now in the middle of a pandemic her company and competitors are actually taking folks on. Crying out for staff.

For the otherside I would drill it, but making sure the hole is drilled well away from the edge and deburred properly.

Using a sharp object create a bowl in the stump, add oil/diesel mixture, add lit match, sit around it with a beer and lockdown pal in the evening.

    Yep, missed that email. Cheers.

Just reported the post Peter, as I agree with you. A separate thread would be better.
I’ve also got that app and approved, found it very confusing also, seems to be a sit it out and wait scenario.

We’ve a 5 month old and we had she has been in her own room for around 6 weeks now and she has a “Ewan the sheep” white noise thing.
When she was in our room me and the Mrs were sound asleep very quickly with the aid of Ewan, so much so we’re missing him ourselves and are tempted to get one just for us.

Someone retracted their high end bid just before the auction ended. Not everything on eBay is a con.

Last night I drunk bid something, then 10 mins to go I got notification the auction was ending, so I removed my drunk bid quick…….

    Joe Rogan experience,
    The Doug Stanhope podcast,
    Bill burrs Monday night podcast.

And for not comedy, the fitzall podcast, with Jimmy di Resta, Eric from handtools rescue and Andrew of blacksmiths tools. Talking about old tooling and machinery. But it’s very amusing

I would find a local engineering firm and have a chat with them. Fairly simple job few days to build off site and a morning to bolt in on site

@brant thanks for the gesture, but I won’t do that, it’s my problem not yours, just not a fan as in my work boots I feel the weave.
    Eagerly awaiting the denim though

Not a hebtroco fanboi at all, (the socks are rubbish imo, and I’ve had to restitch a few buttons on a few pairs of trews)
But their governer moleskins are great in winter, I have a pair for blacksmithing in and they take one hell of a beating, so worn they are smooth now. But them and my 177s are great in the cold weather. Not just warm but great at stopping the wind.

And another one tonight, supposed to be here to collect 11 minutes ago. If they do turn up I’m tempted to send em away for poor time keeping

Same on Facebook market place, we’ve had a bit of a clear out and change of old furniture. Advertising stuff for basically free to help someone out, and of the 5 or 6 people to organise a time to come. Not a single person. And no explanation as to why, I want to be incredibly rude to these people but the wife, wisely won’t let me.

Go to a few shops, we decided we wanted one thing, then decided on another once we played around in the shop. Don’t just buy from reviews without playing with a few.
We went for the mamas and papas occaro, not light at all. But does what we want well, I do have a few gripes with it as even in the shop you can’t foresee everything.

Another recommendation for the enacfire future, I only got them last week and they are fantastic so far, I work in a fairly loud factory and they are worn for about 10 hours a day, get around 4 hours play time before I have to out them in the case to charge for half hour.

Not a chance it will ever happen, as has been already said, tradition. We can’t even get a 1030 start on day 2 if you lose a full day for weather in this country.

And mine, sadly that long fence has 4 separate houses behind it, and they’re all their fences. I see them as character now.

Got some of the latest things I’ve knocked up all in one snap here, the hanging basket brackets and bird feeder stand are forged. But the butterflies are welded up.

I’ve just got a new pair of Base Rafting Tops and within two weeks they’ve killed my feet. Definitely don’t recommend or believe the rubbish written on their website.

I emailed them to highlight the issue and they said the best they can do is 15% off another pair. Absolute joke.

I absolutely love mine, best safety boots I’ve had, 12 hours shifts covering nearly 10 miles a shift

I’ve tried loads of pairs, and I mean loads. Even spent out a fair bit of money on some. Tend to go through a pair in 4 months and are very rough on them.
The current pair are the best I’ve had though and will be going back to them. Base, rafters. Incredibly lightweight and the comfiest I’ve worn. Can walk up to 10 miles in a shift and these are spot on.

I had a disagreement with a boss, when I moved departments from engineering into a production spot, but as I’m an engineering man sort of seconded to production, my line managers are production, but engineering have a say.

The disagreement started when I took the new roll on and he had an idea for training, which I the trainee, and the trainer’s were not happy with. I was the one that took it to him to try to change his mind, bearing in mind all lead hands and middle managers agreed with me/trainer. The upper management weren’t happy. And after a rather heated debate, he ended up storming off site and a year later I’ve not seen him.

I’ve requested several meetings with the man to try to iron out a few issues with my current roll, but I always end up with a maint planner or middle manager that know the previous issues and he will not come see me.

In short, I took him on and not sure who won, I know I earn more than him and work less than him, but I’m more stressed as the problems seems to get lost in translation through his layers of defence he put up

I had a GPz900R. I thought this film was ace!

Pretty sure that they used a 750 with 900 fairing as Tom was too small to ride the big boy bike

Bigdean, to be honest I wish I’d have punched through the plate and rivetted from the back and not done any weld. I’ve experimented with plug welding in the past, with not much success but that was much thinner stuff and I agree a plug would have worked a treat.

Hindsight is 20/20 and all that

    Ignore that clap trap.

I’m in Elm just outside, lovely little village, pub is spot on. I commute to Peterborough in half hour, and the wife to Bar Hill in an hour. Good rail at march or king’s Lynn.
It is the fens so very open.

I’ve just replaced an honor 9 that got smashed up with a Nokia 7.1, 154 on Amazon, fairly impressed so far. Really liked the honor, and would have replaced like for like but the Chinese thing is in the back of my mind

Some do some don’t. I personally only use norbar torque wrenches and you have to turn the head around on them to get LH threads done
