Its not half as bad as these scaremongering fools are making out. I’ve been here 6 months and love the area.
    What brings you this way?

Im about 10 mins between lynn and downham. Being a lincolnshire lad anyways im used to the flat. There is a few little spots of decent riding. And downham aint bad really.

Quite a while ago when very bored at work I thought about this. As im right handed and hold jar left hand lid right. But I hold a spade left at top right at bottom like a lefty and play pool/snooker lefty way.
My experiment involved how you cross your arms. I folded mine with left hand under right bicep and right hand on top of left bicep with left arm showing…..I thought there may be a connection to which is your dominant hand. Turns oit there isnt…..
But. Now fold your arms the other way round as in the other arm on top. Weird eh

This is why I do all work myself. Mrs took booked hers into kwik fit for new tyres. I went ballistic as they are the original con men. Weirdly enough they came through saying the car needed new brake discs and pads all round and they could do it there and then for 400.

They got a bit upset when I said bugger off does it……I fitted new discs and pads all round a fortnight ago………

I got together with mine and then 2 weeks later started in the raf. Quite difficult when out of the country with no option to visit. We did a weekend together every 2 weeks for a long time. And now 4 years later we have jist moved in together.
Easy enough if you have trust. My mrs spent 3 years at uni in that time and that sometimes had its moments of wondering

Air flow problem in my eyes. And starting 8 times one after the other. You may as well just leave the lights on if you really wanted to flatten the battery. Oh and make sure you give it a boot full to clear the cat and such like after you coked it up by doing that

Ride the trails that are not red routes and off the beaten track and then it gets better. Still have to be pinning it though. Before you get to the beast there is a big bomb hole. Between that and the beast there is 2 more runs that are both better than the beast

I used to run my old squadrons tea bar and bar. And I found excel and a bit of time is far superior to any free programs. We found them all to be hassle.

Hard work to begin with but once you get used to it and keep on top of it its fairly simple to do all by hand

I always carry my gerber multitool in my bag. Blade never gets used really but pliers often come in handy.

Wouldn’t know whether or not its illegal. But if everyone is in agreement do what you like. Who would enforce it?

The rather large mamil I spotted this weekend riding to newquay on the tight cornish roads. Eating an apple whilst meandering around

I got mine from them. Went in to try for size. They stuck some pedals on and let me try it round the estate. Few weeks later when out around thetford, the guy who sold me it stopped me and asked how everything was and adjusted the gearing to take up some cable stretch. Something I was happy to do when I got home to be honest. But never the less he still sorted it on the trail

Plus 1 for the giant anthem. Love mine. Just converted to 1×10 and for fast flowing singletrack its awesome. Acceleration is a strong point.

I did one last year on mtb. Hard work as i was very unfit. But niw im much fitter i would say it is much easier. Just go for it and be prepared for an hour of pain. Start doing hill repeats for training
