2.4mm pilot hole. Then I would hit it straight away with the 8mm.

Got a Newcastle brown on the go with 3 more in the fridge. Need em after this week. Next week on leave. Happy days, plenty of riding planned. And may get some jobs done in the garden too

I have tried all sorts to give up. Never last long. Just ordered one of those vapour jobbies that khani linked up. Quite a few lads at work use them to good effect.

Os map is key for around there. When I was at benson a few people told me some good routes towards wallingford. Ended up getting quite lost. Just pointing and riding then when lost pull the map out and try to work out a different route back. Some really good stuff toward crowmarsh if I remember correctly

You have your fish bantered. Bit strange. I prefer it battered

Don’t worry im still here. Don’t get me wrong im all for banter. its a huge part of my job and I’m quite sure what I find amusing would horrify a lot on here.
I am merely pointing out that it isn’t constructive to read a thread, and then contribute nothing other than point out someones spelling and grammar. That isn’t banter at all. Its pointless. And more so when people have issues with reading and writing.
@countzero. Yes I have only been here a few months. May I say well done on your 10 fine years here. Do you get some sort of medal or badge when you hit 15 for long service?

Best off taking it out and running a tap through it. Last thing you want is to deal with it when out riding

Well this went well. Discussion has been achieved.
I think that a few people have seen my point. And others have seen the point and mocked, which I totally get aswel. I use the forum for advice and to pass time when on the bog.
I just find it disheartening that someone sat at a keyboard many miles away mocks someone for their spelling. You do understand but you are just being a tool.
Yes I have been out for a little potter about this morning. Don’t have mud tyres so had to come home and trawl stw’ to find the best mud tyres, and thread about said tyres ………

I cleaned out the mothers understairs cupboard a few weeks ago. Found some beer that was givn to the old man on his 40th. 23years later and only 21 years out of date. I had a sample. Drank the lot. I aint dead. Often have yogurts that are afew weeks out of date. And milk easily surpasses its self by date.

Im sure the sis with all it chemicals will be fine

Ononeorange. Is that really a helpful reply. Yes you own an audi. Yes you own an orange. Yes you work in middle management. Well done you. Guess life is so great get a life you moronic idiot. And actually give advisr to the op rather than slate a few spelling mistakes you sad little person. This is what is wrong with STW. And I hope the mods see this.

As for the op. Shimano all the way. You can loosen them to add for float and easier clip ins and the shimano cleats last an age

I commute 9 miles each way. And always take it nice and steady on the way in. No need to shower that way. And smash it on the way home where I can shower.
Get riding. It helps with bike fitness no end

Working on aircraft I have found the best thing to fix them sometimes is a swift blow with a nice ball pein. More often than not there is no such tool in sight and I found chocks to be very useful. Aswel as a nice size 9 or even jumping up and down on a faulty part. I have used power set plugs. And even one day in afghan a large rock. Thank christ that im RAF and not working on your average passenger jet as joe public would have a fit

Simply tell them you will see them in court. Job jobbed. No one in their right mind would allow that to go to court

My mrs is an archaeologist and brought one home from work with her the other day as she was moving site. The one that she had was worth 700 apparently. Useful for finding some bolts I lost in the gravel the other week though.

Quite a few weights there. Im wondering whether the tyrehas been fitted correctly. By this I mean there is usually a yellow dot that should be oppostie the valve. This is because the tyre is manufactured with a little more mass where said yellow dot is to counteract the weight of the valve

You can get the sram 10spd power links off. I can pop em off a treat with my gerber pliers. Took some practise to begin with.. You have to fold a few links on top of each other and a bit of force. Twist. And luck and they open up.

I always laughed at armour. Stupidity and naivety I guess. Last uplift resulted in the 2nd break of the collarbone. Next time I will be wearing armour if the mrs ever lets me uplift again

Im running a narrow wide on a 10spd cassette. Found the chain line in the big sprocket isn’t the best. Combated a little by having the chainring the other way round to what it should be. Has improved it a little. But at the top still not great. Haven’t dropped the chain yet mind. And im not running a guide or clutch mech. Just faith

I have done 120mph to get out of the way of a police car before. On a singletrack straight road with nowhere to pull into. Gunned it and pulled over when i could. Passenger of police car gave me the big thumbs up.
