    My old work van has an erberspacher in it as has the whole fleet.
    For the price of them, they were always in the garage getting sorted.
    Mind you, most lads have them running 24/7.
    I’ve joined some of the FB groups but there are a bewildering array of options.
    This is only a work van so doesn’t need to be super duper, just blow some hot air.
    A fully self contained unit would be ideal so I can pop it in the shed too for tinkering duties.

    Can’t figure out how to post a pic from my phone.
    Got a V1 Camino Ti frame in large with Carbon fork, Hope headset, Love Mud wheels, Schwalbe G-One 38s and adjustable stem for sale.

    I use the same van at work.
    It’s nice to drive, more space in the cab than a mk6.
    Although, it’s strangled by emissions laws to the point of gutlessness.
    Gear linkage has been replaced
    DPF replaced twice
    Brake sensor warnings
    Cab doors sag on their hinges
    Sliding doors drop on their runners
    Cracked windscreen due to body flex
    All on a ‘64 plate and 60000 miles.
    Would I buy one? No thanks, Ford dropped a bollock with the mk7.

    5:10s are unbelievably sticky. So much so that you have to lift your foot off the pedal to reposition, rather than shuffling a bit. Love em.

    If you’re starting out, go for a 125. More than capable enough without hurting yourself. As with most dirt bikes, don’t go big.
    250s can be a handful, 290/300s are brutal.

    I’ve got tubeless 700×45 Riddlers on my Camino. Set up real easy, comfy and roll well but they can be a bit puncture prone on Lakeland slate, as I discovered.

    Never really had “brand loyalty before, but gotta say I love Alpkit/Sonder stuff. It’s not perfect but it’s all great kit at bloody great prices. Customer service has been and still is superb.
    In my opinion Alpkit is the best outdoor equipment company there has ever been.

    I’ve tried guards other than one of those MTB Enduro type zip tie on things.
    You’re right that there’s no eyelets on the carbon forks. I’m running 700×45 Riddlers, which doesn’t leave a lot of room for guards.

    Don’t know about the Kinesis. I’ve got a Camino Ti and it’s bloody amazing. Does everything I ask of it. Loaded up commuting, big long road rides, trail centres and coast to coasts.
    So comfortable and I’m not missing skinny little road tyres one bit.
    Alpkit/Sonder are a god send to this industry. They’re putting a lot of big established companies to shame.
    How many bike company designers can you ring up for advice??? Not many.

    Hey Paul, I’m 5’11” and ride a large Evol.
    They’re not stupidly long like say a Bird or Cotic.
    If you can stretch to it, go for Cane Creek bouncy bits.
    Soooooo good.

    I’m running the DB Inline on my Sonder too.
    It’s silent.
    The Helm fork chats away to me during a ride however.

    Had a cracking weekend.
    Massive thanks to the boys at Wheelbase (Darlington) for keeping me rolling by going way above and beyond after my shitbox E13 cassette lunched itself.
    Absolutely superb service.
    The band totally rocked.
    All marshalling was spot on.
    Very well organised event.
    Looking forward to next year already.

    It’s very active, tracks everything on techy climbs.
    It does have a “climb” lever that stiffens low speed compression and rebound by about 50%.

    I’m running the same set up but with the Helm fork too.
    I also had that exact shock on a Trek Fuel.
    The performance from shock and fork is simply staggering.
    Night and day different.
    One of my regular riding pals is an ex World Cup DH racer and he reckons the Evol with Cane Creek on both ends is one the most balanced and capable bikes he’s ever ridden.
    I bought mine after one test ride from another happy customer.

    I went down the used route and got some RS505s.
    Eye wateringly expensive compared to mtb stuff, but you’re buying a lot of technology really.
    I ran Shimano cable discs for about 5 years and thought they were great……until I tried hydros.
    Night and day difference.
    I can brake easily and in control from the hoods now off road.

    Vectra C estate on an 07 plate.
    Full history, 1.8vvt petrol.
    £700 sailed through 2 mots with normal servicing.
    Air, Cruise and super comfortable.
    Took the family to South of France and home to Cumbria last summer. Never missed a beat.

    Took the kids to see Bumblebee.
    Pretty damn good really and a cracking soundtrack for children of the 80s.

    My thoughts exactly.

    We’ve got a Vectra estate, which is cavernous and so far, very reliable.

    The Berlingo or similar will be to replace an Xtrail which was an unbelievable money pit.

    Comfy, yes. Big and chunky looking, yes but what a consumer of parts it became.

    Time to use head over heart methinks, and these little cars look great.

    I’m in the same boat.

    im on my third shock on the Fuel.

    Sram think my frame may be out of alignment as the shaft is worn on one side.

    theyre sending an RC3 out under warranty, but the frame has gone to Trek to be checked.

    the Fuel is the best bike I’ve ever ridden, a coil could make it even better…..could it?

    Got an 07 Vectra estate.

    huuuuge boot. Trek Fuel goes straight in with the seats down.

    with both wheels off, I can sleep in the back too and I’m 6 ft.

    I’m a jointer for ENWL.

    i started 5 years ago and they took around 4 months to get to the interview stage and then 2 months before they offered me the job.

    if WPD are anything like our lot, your lad could be in for a long wait.

    That’s very interesting.

    Yaris are soooo well priced.

    adjustability is great, but if they’re set up right, then there’s no need to adjust.

    my pal at Evans (suspension tech) set up the Sectors and they’re sweet. Just a bit wibbly.

    There seems to be so many forks nowadays that all do the same kinda job.

    Pike, Yari, Revelation and 34s in various guises. Then all the other brands, DVO, BOS, X Fusion etc.

    I have a Zero TR.
    I’m 5’11″” and have always ridden a large frame. Wasn’t sure so I spoke to Ben at Bird.
    He was brilliant. Asked me what bikes I’ve had?, how I ride? and where I ride?
    He reckoned a medium would be longer than any bike I’ve had. A long would maybe feel too weird for me.
    The medium did feel a bit long at first, but it’s amazing.
    I’ve had a BFE and a Chameleon and it’s way way better than both.
    You won’t be disappointed.
    Bird are fantastic to deal with too.
