So…. when did this come in then?

    Have you a link?

Even so – the trails there are awesome. I know the top stuff to the left of Argentiere/Vallorcine is now national park so unrideable (except sneaky early/late season), havent been since last summer, was all ok then, so would be interested to see which ones are now on the ban list.

You could buy the comfiest saddle available to man…….. but if youre not used to sitting on it – its no good!!!!!!!!!!

Spend your money on a good pair of padded shorts (like Endura's @£20) and get out and ride!

Start off with short rides and gradually eeeek them out to the desired distance!

Yeh….Mayday Meadow is good – used to be better before all the felling. Start of the "Beast" in the LH corner.

Happy memories of racing there 8-10 years ago…..

Genisis – nope….it just 'fell' in there whilst i was packing the car ! LOL

As for thefts – usual rules apply – dont leave it where you cant see it. The chalets have a large cupboard inside the lobby so you can store it safely inside the building.

    Have fun!

Been there a few times – with the bike tucked away in the back of the car, he he. Would go out early in the AM to ride – never found anything good on site but if you go out the main gate, turn left, cycle about half to a mile there is an abundance of good trails both left and right side of the road.

    Happy riding!

and it is the responsibility of the rider/skier upslope to take evasive action where nessecary

    Those are the rules!

Looks like there was plenty of space for evasive manouvers to me.

Go with the flow – what you cant see cant kill you.

Far too many people let their heads mess with their ability (mee for one)

£15 quid to true the wheel – around a quid for each spoke.

Quite alot involved in it – tyre/tube/rim tape/freehub/cassette/…..

Dont forget – spokes come in a box of 72 or 100 !!!

Tony – go for the dirtworker – i have one of the gardena pump sprayers in the shop and it doesnt deliver enough power. Its ok on the light deposits but no good for the heavy cruddy clay we have round here.

I usually end up at the local jet wash – £2 ….. job done. :D

Very true – the qualification is just the start – the experience is what really matters and thet takes lots of practice and time to achieve. I'm cytech qualified and work all day long on bikes but my experience is limited compared to most on here. Every day i learn something new to put a tick in the 'book'.

Honesty and attention to detail is my USP! :D

Olly – Have you met/worked with Pete?

He is brilliant – has been in the business for ever and a day and really knows his stuff!!

As far as accreditation works – he is the only guy with the right to train outside of the ATG – under liceince if you like.

Flatfish – Absolutly YES……WEAR A HELMET at all times !!!!!!

We all remember the incident with Liam Neesons mrs last year!!!

As for armour – whatever youre comfortable with, backpacks are ok on/off piste but reccomend protection in the park or rocky drops.

As for the video – the rules of the slope are that you must be able to control your direction and speed and it is the responsibility of the rider/skier upslope to take evasive action where nessecary.

I board alot and you really do see some stupidity on the slopes, a little bit of thought ahead of time really could save a life.
