@futonrivercrossing I was wondering if that was related to fewer deaths yesterday. Wonder if the Russians are running out of ammo?

They passed over our place yesterday on their way to Scarborough and again to Cleethorpes.
Anybody know why there is / was only 7 of them?

Is it all burnt thou or is ton of it still hanging around accruing storage fees 🙂

Judging by my inbox a lot of the medical devices they purchased are still sitting around waiting for new homes

Abundance of bunting here in our village, although it does seem to be sporadic. Beacon lighting later to be accompanied by 70 rockets to upset the horsey folks. Spitfire and Hurricane due over later though so looking forward to seeing that.

600k audax, started at 6am Saturday, rode through the night and finished around 1pm on the Sunday. Something spiritual about riding all day into the sunset and seeing the sunrise again.

Nice, I have one of the original batch – it’s a great bike that I’m sure you will enjoy. Remember to keep the seatpost greased!

Do you really think that a Russian sub would be able to get anywhere near a UK or US asset?

international waters is 200 miles out, so not a lot you can do about them sitting the atlantic

There was a recent series on Ch4 or Ch5 following HMS Northumberland on patrol in the Atlantic, a Russian sub collided with their towed sonar array so certainly pretty close on that occasion

    Done
The A684 is an awful road to bike on in summer and I can’t see that railway line ever getting relaid to Garsdale given the speed that they are progressing to Asygarth at the east end. I’m not sure it would be viable even if they did get it reopened – Northallerton to Garsdale would need a lot of volunteers to operate and maintain.

£1.05 a litre for a delivery last Friday and there’s a discount if payment is received within a week? Northen Energy: always seems less than Boilerjuice are quoting.

Meatloaf at Knebworth in 85, appalling, ended up with him storming off stage amid a sea of bottles after announcing something along the lines of “any more bottles land on this stage and we’re off”
Pouges at Scunny Baths in 84ish, McGowan was battered but everybody had a great time.

one of the local MX clubs might be able to ID the rider

And why would they want to do that?

Because they are not all knobs and a lot of them will be georged off that a few throbbers are giving the decent majority some bad press?

I saw that on Facebook earlier; one of the riders has a race number on his bike. If the picture can be processed to allow it to be read, one of the local MX clubs might be able to ID the rider.

I’ve been thinking about that convoy: it’s stuck there, not going anywhere and using fuel and food. I imagine the Russian’s are cold and not getting much sleep. Isn’t it in the Ukrainian’s interest to just leave it there while it’s stationary and then attack from the forests when it starts to move again.

Cheers. If anyone (everyone) knows how to put the image on the forum here i’d be grateful. Busy painting card to make poppies for some protest wreaths for war memorials. Starting with UKRAINE and **** PUTIN in foot tall letters.

Please don’t. Protest by all means but please don’t involve the poppy, or war memorials. Without wishing to reopen an STW can of worms, the poppy is supposed to be a sombre, apolitical symbol of remembrance. There are enough nutters on the right and left trying to use it as political symbolism, please find another symbol for this. I am an ex serviceman who abhors what is happening in Ukraine and supports the Ukrainian resistance but don’t deface war memorials or use the poppy in this. I know most of my veteran friends would be equally horrified at this suggestion.

    This ^

Please think how your intended protest will be viewed and seized by some of the right wing media and Farage’s gang. It will distract attention from the atrocities.

I’m assuming that these aircraft the EU are providing will be ex eastern block aircraft which the Ukrainian forces will be familiar with – does anyone know if they will be operating out of EU / Nato countries? and if so, I’m wondering how Putin will react to that given that his forces are operating out of Belarus. Worrying.

I thought the Ukrainians were being re-equipped with aircraft from the EU today – that might explain the lack of air strikes on the convoy. Does anyone know how close to Kyiv that convoy is? Are logistics still a problem for the Russians?

Though, a second incomplete airframe does exist, or did.

At the same location? In which case, it’s probably also destroyed
