It's amazing how many people don't realise that the hose will reach the fuel tank regardless of which side it's on.

I know the hose will reach I just dont want too drag it over the top of my car. I would rather wait a couple of minutes which leaves a pump free for you.

I've just come back from a (cold) solo ride and I was definitely going slower on the downs than I would be when I am with a group.
The thought of a bad accident and breaking my leg like Swalsey puts the fear into me, especially when it started to get dark.
I think I was going faster the rest of the time than i do with a group and much less stopping.
I think solo rides are better for fitness but its nice to out with mates having a laugh, even if you do have to wait for other peoples mechanicals and they have to wait for me on some of the ups.

I had read somewheer that Raikkonen gets €20 million from Ferrari if he doesn’t drive for someone else but only $10 million if he does. So any other team would have to offer him in excess of €10 million to make it worth his while. In todays economic climate and the withdrawal of big sponsors and manufacturers from the sport, the huge amounts of money for drivers salaries aren’t available anymore.
I think it is a shame he won’t be in F1 Next year. I would have loved to have seen him alongside Hamilton at McLaren.
As to ddmonkey's comments. I believe he is well liked by the engineers he works with. He is considered to be knowledgeable and able to give feedback to the engineers and of course, very very fast. He just doesn’t like the PR side of things so perhaps it is the sponsors who wanted shot of him.

I've had a couple of second chance offers both of them at my maximum bid. I declined as i assumed that it was a case of the seller bidding up the price and then winning the item. On both occasions I won the item on when it was re-listed and for a lower price than my origanal bid.
