I had at least 8 years out of a Hope Ti sq taper and it was still perfect. Only thing was trying to remove it to swap frames and one cup had totally seized….Gutted as hope no longer did replacement cups, so it was knacked 😥
Now run Royce tis in both mtbs.

Campag sq taper in my road frame is 20 YES 20 years and still going 😯

I have to say that the anodising on my Pace 305 is quite good. Its had a good few rocks etc bounce off the down tube and it`s still fine. 🙂

I use Aligator cables from Clee Cyles on mine.
Nice silver braid and goes well with the Hope braided Hydro hose. Youll need 2 sets to do an inbread though as these cables are designed to be split between cable stops and run the inner sheath between them. If you`re acurate with your cutting you can manage a fair amount of spare for future use.
They work really well though.

Go for the Fibre Glass. We do flat roofs and usually felt them,but it`s crap at the end of the day. All dependa if the customer can afford other options.

I got at least 10 years out of my last Campy stuff, including the chain!!!!. It was riden and tt on, Also been through the Alpes and Pyrenese twice. I don`t know the milage but one year alone was 3.5k miles!

I was at the St John ambulance begind the young lad. His face was swallen, lips torn, teeth missing and his hands were quite badly cut n grazed as well. Poor lad was suffering :cry:.
I had crashed out as well, approx 15 miles in. Did something really stupid through a watersplash just before a singletrack down through the trees. Limped back the 1.5+miles to the end of lap 1 to retire, the 1st one ive ever DNF 😡 Shame really cause i was quite well up and going well 🙄
I`m off work today as the impact on my right a*!e cheek was clearly more than i realised at the time. The entire buttock all the way up to the ribs is swallen….recon the camel back saved me a bit!
Saw the winner come in and shook his hand etc, asking him if he was human….I mean 2 3/4 hours ❗ and his reply was

This actually happened back in May…. They replaced the lower legs which still are not right. When the wheels is in it looks to the left (out of dish). It was nt like that before and the wheel is pefect. So even without using the fork they went back……Upon return the note said "The carbon is within DT tolerences, and they are fir for use"

Bollocks! A fork that now costs £800 should be perfect!

They will be going back just before the 2 years is up.
